We had a 2 bedroom unit that was very clean and tidy basically spotless and very spacious for our family of 5. The host was very accommodating, when I booked the unit there was supposed to be a sofa bed, 2 singles and a large double bed, the host called to let me know the sofa bed was broken and would supply a pull out single bed, I said no it was fine we could make it work but he was adamant lol he said I have paid for 3 adults and 2 kids and he will make sure we all had our own beds. I thought this was awesome, it was a simple act from the host that shows he values his customers. When we checked in we were greeted by a lovely lady ( the hosts mother) she was very happy and cheerful 😊 which was lovely.

How long it took to fill the spa 🤣

We booked the 2 bedroom with spa for a night when driving through Whakatane this weekend - Our 2x 6yr olds and 3yr old spent *hours* in the spa pool which was great as we could see them from the living room but still kind of had alone time. The spa was deep enough for adults but safe with seating for the kids and temp controlled with hot/cold taps. Really recommend this for a family, well priced for 5 people and good kitchen facilities in the room. We'll stay again. Friendly staff.

Livingston is the best and only motel my family and I stay when going on holiday. Eddie is a wonderful person, greeted so kindly everytime, he makes you feel right at home compared to other hotel staff you are greeted by, all stiff and robotic lol. Eddie is friendly and happy. Rooms are clean, spacious, television has all the right channels, bed is comfortable and extra blabkets are a bonus if needed, the whole motel experience at Livingston is 'private and relax after a long journey' The spa pool is always my highlight of the stay. Would stay again every time. Eddie does well 👏

Absolutely nothing!

Size of the 2 bedroom apartment was very suitable for the 3 adults and 1 toddler. Plus the size of the 1 bedroom apartment was suitable for 2 adults and 2 toddlers. The spa tub is huge and can accommodate 4 people at one time. Rooms were cleaned and towels, coffee, sugar etc were replaced daily. The staff here are very welcoming and the rooms are well set out with all the things that you need for comfort. It has multiple televisions (with SKY channels) in the lounge and one bedroom. Rooms are clean and well stocked. The furniture is modern and comfortable.

Not sure why our beds were not remade in the 2 bedroom apartment when they were remade in the 1 bedroom apartment. We have never had this happen when we have previously stayed here. The HOT water for the spa tub is luke warm in apartment with 2 bedrooms. We suggest that you fill it with hot water only, then adjust it to the temperature you like.

Having our own private spa was pretty amazing - but most amazing of all is the owner/host "Eddie". He is just so super friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to fix a problem we were having with the smart TV and wouldn't stop until he had solved the problem. Also loved the spaciousness of the apartment.

Lack of sun in the room - but the fact that the room was so huge made up for this.

Awesome friendly service...Very accomodating, we only booked for one night but due to unforeseen circumstances we needed to stay an extra day and night...Owner went out of his way to have another room ready around the checkout time of 10 am...Rooms were so clean and fresh smelling. Facilities were 👌 with a spa bath in the room, just topped it off! Really lovely, relaxing place to stay. Thank you to all staff at Livingston, much appreciated 😊

Beutifully clean. There was a spa pool which some would love but not our thing. Room was really pleasant with aircon and rooms so clean.This place is so well looked after. We were asked everyday if we needed anything by the lady servicing the rooms, we were fine, she is so lovely. Eddie is great to deal with. We were down for an unfortunate family hiccup but were treated so well and offered longer stay if needed.

The hosts were absolutely amazing right from the moment we booked. The place had everything we needed and it was great for the money. Having the hot tub in the room was a bonus and the air con and free wifi was amazing made our stay such a blessing.

The air con every so often made a loud noise but the air con still worked amazingly. Would have been cool to have Netflix or YouTube available on the tv instead of sky but that’s just being a little picky.

Staff is warm and welcoming and super friendly! The room we had was spacious, neat, tidy, bed was so comfortable, had everything we needed in terms of bed, kitchen and bathroom. Close to where we needed to be, not a super busy area and was nice and quiet

There were a couple of ants here and there in the kitchen and bathroom, it wasn’t a lot of them just three of four in the areas…but that was it. Had no other problems.

Went out for the day. Came home. Room was spotless. Coffee etc restocked. Clean towels etc always. Management bent over backwards to assist in any way like where in Whakatane the Super markets were. Different sites to visit. Showed all on a map with so much politeness as he showed us.
