Our room was on the ground level. Loved the spa bath, coffee machine and two bed option. Great shower pressure. The artwork/flowers and flags outside and building design is nice, unfortunately the weather was stormy during our stay so stayed in doors. Travelling with a toddler who was sick, nice cosy room and it was a family friendly room.. not much toddler proofing needed! Wasn't too much noise so was great.

Single bed was a bit uncomfortable (loud springs - old mattress?) Would be good if the car parks outside the rooms were allocated to a set room, as it made it hard to navigate the wet weather unloading the car with a toddler in tow when not parked directly outside.

Our host kindly gave us an upstairs room above the carpark and introduced us to some nearby food outlets - we enjoyed the Roquette restaurant near the quay east of the Villas We walked to the river falls nearby and enjoyed our two morning runs along the estuary levee We didn't have time to trek to Ohope Beach so we drove, checked it out, then returned for a great tacos dinner The Guest Policies were the most comprehensive and clear we'd seen on this trip, and we had no unwanted behaviour and noise from other guests On leaving, our astute host mentioned the heavy overnight rain through the Gorge to Gisborne where we were headed. She checked the road travel site, confirmed the road was ok and gave us the web link

My second stay here. Very comfortable and modern rooms. A nice clean place to say at with friendly professional staff. Comfortable beds. Good value for money.

Everything time I have to exit the property day or night....I have to drive up a little incline to the exit gate and wait for the automatic gate to open before I can exit. Which is a pain for me when driving a manual car......having to hill start everytime and be worried about riding the clutch every time I exit the property.

Lady at reception was very welcoming and lovely to talk to. She gave us useful information about the best local eating spots and must do's. Room was super clean with everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfy and the hot tub next to the bed was definitely a bonus. Would highly recommend Tuscany Villa's to anyone looking for accommodation in whakatane.

Getting woken up early hours of the morning and being evaluated because someone had set off the smoke alarms.

Tuscany Villas is located in the centre of Whakatane and within walking distance of many attractions. I was only staying one night but have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation for a longer stay. The room was very spacious, easily big enough for two people. The kitchenette was well stocked to make eating in an easy option. The bathroom was roomy as was the shower which is always a plus for a taller person. The air-conditioning was much appreciated in the hot weather.

There was nothing I didn't like. The room was upstairs but, as long as you're physically able, the steps were easy to navigate.

Very friendly staff. Location was exceptional. Less than a minute walk to shops and the river. About 1 minute drive to the mouth of the river where the views are beautiful. Views of whale island and White Island(volcano). Rooms were serviced everyday. The spa was nice and relaxing. Bed was comfortable. I wouldn’t book anywhere else in Whakatane.

On arrival, the staff member informed me that my booking was cancelled in the hotel booking system, however the staff member sorted this out with only a minor delay. Please use a different cleaning product - the unit smelled strongly of the artificial scent which was hard to ignore.

Lovely helpful lady to greet us for our stay. The location was so central to everything - walking distance but very quiet. Secured at night with gates closed. The price was very good for the amenities and location. The room was great! Nice and big with everything we needed. Loved the spa bath and the Nespresso machine. Bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again. 😊

Owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Was given an upgrade on check-in which was really appreciated and totally unexpected. It was a spacious, clean and comfortable suite. The spa tub was a bonus.

Can be a bit noisy in the road facing rooms due to traffic and a restaurant across the road with an extractor system with bad bearings. Extractor fan in the bathroom seemed a bit tired and noisy. Pillows were a bit high for my personal preference so perhaps having an option for firmer/lower profile pillows would be ideal.

Location was excellent (a few metres from The Strand). Staff on reception friendly & welcoming. The motel had everything required for a short stay and was immaculately clean.

Free wifi was available but it was incredibly slow & buffered constantly (perhaps because the rooms were all occupied?) The TV monitor was quite small for the size of the room and the selection of TV channels was limited.
