We chose this hotel mainly because it was on our route and we just needed a place to stay for one night. It seems more like a business hotel, and for that purpose it was fine . we didn’t expect too much, and overall it served its purpose.

However, we had booked a queen bed room in advance, but since the hotel was very busy that day, we didn’t get the room we had reserved. Instead, we were given another room on the 8th floor. Although it was high up, it had no real view, which was disappointing. The hotel was also very crowded (maybe just at the time we stayed, but it felt quite busy). The biggest downside in my opinion is that parking was not free. Even though the hotel clearly has its own parking area, guests are still charged for it. For a hotel like this, I believe free parking should really be provided.

The hotel is located conveniently at the center of Hamar, at walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions. It is a large hotel that doubles as a conference center. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I don't think I've see such an extensive breakfast buffet in a hotel before.

There was little storage space in the room, so it is hard to fit in suitcases and bags, particularly if you're traveling with a family.

Very quite clean, lovely place. Great breakfast. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in. It was busy but behind the door you couldn’t hear your neighbours. Felt like in a retreat.

I would have more options on the restaurant menu. Four items on the dinner menu and two dessert options.. great dishes, however doesn’t tie you to stay in house. Also connection for video streaming is not existent. Impossible to cast on to the Smart tv. A small jar for water in the rooms will be a bonus as well as charging outlets with usb ports.

Good and modern new hotel. Beds were comfy and the basic room category served us well. The breakfast was amazing! Plentiful, beautifully laid out and fresh. The hotel was very clean.

Parking instructions were a bit poor for a big car. The layout of the lobby and corridors are a bit confusing. A couple extra signs here and there might help? Conclusion: Not bad at all

Great location in between the toll road and the lake front. It's not very scenic at the hotel, but a 15-minute walk gets you downtown next to the lake and all the sites of Hammar. Great breakfast.

The parking situation was a bit confusing--there are several public options, but the staff do a good job of directing you.

The friendly staff, very helpful and as I don't speak Norwegian it was good they spoke English and understood me. It was a sudden visit I was visiting my Son in the ITU in hospital. So was very stressed and upset but nothing was too much trouble

Only one hommenylt the main light in the room was broken and it was flashing but the maintenance man was sick. So it couldn't be repaired

Incredibly comfortable room and the hotel looks great and very modern. The breakfast buffet had one of the best spreads I've ever seen, everything you could want from a full English breakfast to a waffle station to fresh bread, fruit, salad and pastries - and all very tasty, not just plentiful. They have a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby which was lovely given that we visited in January. Staff were also very helpful and we could communicate perfectly in English. I had never heard of the Scandic chain before and now will look for them whenever I have business trips. Although we saw plenty of families as well, so it's definitely not 'just' a business hotel.

The hotel has an excellent location. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The breakfast was of very high quality. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

asked for cleaning service every other day but it never came. would have liked the 2 separate beds to have been one single large bed.
