The hotel is located conveniently at the center of Hamar, at walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions. It is a large hotel that doubles as a conference center. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I don't think I've see such an extensive breakfast buffet in a hotel before.

There was little storage space in the room, so it is hard to fit in suitcases and bags, particularly if you're traveling with a family.

Very quite clean, lovely place. Great breakfast. One of the most comfortable beds I slept in. It was busy but behind the door you couldn’t hear your neighbours. Felt like in a retreat.

I would have more options on the restaurant menu. Four items on the dinner menu and two dessert options.. great dishes, however doesn’t tie you to stay in house. Also connection for video streaming is not existent. Impossible to cast on to the Smart tv. A small jar for water in the rooms will be a bonus as well as charging outlets with usb ports.

The friendly staff, very helpful and as I don't speak Norwegian it was good they spoke English and understood me. It was a sudden visit I was visiting my Son in the ITU in hospital. So was very stressed and upset but nothing was too much trouble

Only one hommenylt the main light in the room was broken and it was flashing but the maintenance man was sick. So it couldn't be repaired

Incredibly comfortable room and the hotel looks great and very modern. The breakfast buffet had one of the best spreads I've ever seen, everything you could want from a full English breakfast to a waffle station to fresh bread, fruit, salad and pastries - and all very tasty, not just plentiful. They have a complimentary coffee machine in the lobby which was lovely given that we visited in January. Staff were also very helpful and we could communicate perfectly in English. I had never heard of the Scandic chain before and now will look for them whenever I have business trips. Although we saw plenty of families as well, so it's definitely not 'just' a business hotel.

asked for cleaning service every other day but it never came. would have liked the 2 separate beds to have been one single large bed.

Breakfast as always is great at the Scandic. Very satisfied and lots of selection!!

The double room we booked had two continental beds which would roll apart from each other …. Not ideal if you either have a baby who co sleeps or if you want to cuddle up to your partner. Room was also very hot and not much air circulation , but could be solved with opening a window if you figure out how to do it

Comfortable, good breakfast, friendly staff

Rooms were too warm at night and we could not turn the heating off. The duvet were synthetic and too warm.

Excellent service and facilities. Clean, comfortable, well equipped room. Bistro evening meal was very good and the breakfast was amazing.

No tea and coffee making facilities in the room

Gym was complete for cardio and weight lift exercises. We loved the breakfast including Glutenfree options which are not optional but required for one of us. Small walk to the waterfront, it was a beautiful day to enjoy the waterside

The beds on the family-room are limited to small children, having full grown teens I would prefer more sturdy bunk beds. The site/room information should include a warning on the bed size.

Lovely room, nice breakfast, polite staff. very quiet room even if the elevator was behind the bed.

The view from the room was a ventilation shaft, try to avoid Rom 300.
