Although we had a message from the hotel informing us there were renovations being carried out during our stay, this didn't impact our visit at all. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was excellent and the hotel location was perfect.

Nothing I can say was negative as such. We always like tea making facilities in our room, but you had access to coffee in the dining area anytime.

The beds are really comfortable and facilities in the room great. Breakfast, afternoon fika and dinner options were wonderful. All of the staff were so friendly, cheerful and happy to help. Would highly recommend. Also great value for money.

The rooms were too hot for me personally and not able to open windows meant not always a great night's sleep

Super hotel at sensible cost. Great location for bus and ferry terminals and old town. Spotless throughout,staff friendly. Superb breakfast included as well as afternoon waffles/cake/coffee and good evening buffet. Good size room with small coffee table and chair.

Conveniently situated just a few minutes walk from both the station and airport bus. Decent-sized bedroom and a good choice at breakfast. Inclusive dinner was a simple meal with little choice [as advertised] but was perfectly adequate and much appreciated.

Location - Good location in the central area of Trondheim. Staff - They were very kind to us. Access to the room - They have two lifts working normally. Bed - Clean sheets, comfortable pillows and matress. Bathroom - Clean shower area and clean toilet. Water temperature control is OK. Breakfast - Enough number of varieties and tasty food. Overall - It was a good choice for us per the price we paid. Parking - We stayed just for one night. We parked our car on Brattorgata street. Free from 20:00 to 08:00. From 08:00-20:00 you can park for 3 hours subject to payment. We payed for parking using the mobile app.

First impression - Before arrival, I called the hotel reception to get advice for parking more than 3 times and nobody replied. After our arrival to the hotel we waited for about 5 minutes for the receptionist to show up. Room in general - They have really old furnitures which gives you the feeling that the room is not clean.

I considered the hotel to be excellent value for money, especially the fact that there is an evening (buffet) meal included. Hotel Grand Olav is approximately a five minute walk from the Bakkegata stop for those who takes the airport bus.

Exce;;ent breakfast and the 'afternoon tea' (fika) and simple supper included in the room price were a bonus. Given the high costs in Norway we felt it was good value.

Location is perfect - great breakfast, afternoon treats and dinner included. We were in a Comfort room which was spacious and quiet

The meals were excellent and the location was very convenient. The staff was also super friendly! Overall, it was a great stay!

The bed was too soft for my liking, but I still slept well :)
