The hotel is located in a very nice residential area not far from the airport. It has direct access to the beach. Upon our arrival we got an upgrade to a bigger room on the last floor with a partial sea view, which was fantastic. At the end of the corridor there was a lift arriving to the restaurants and directly to the garage with many available places. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was opulent. Great service at the beach and pool as well as in the restaurant. Room service and cleaning efficient.

The number of sun-beds was quite limited. Some guests were " booking" them a way before the pool opening. As we are not big fans of this practice, we never had a chance to sit at the pool. Luckily there was also an adjacent beach with few beds stil available right after the opening. During the rush hours, there was a breakfast waiting list. To avoid waiting we were forcing our kid to wake up earlier. Well, not nice, also for us during holidays. But the overall service during breakfast was friendly and efficient.

Super friendly and helpfull staff. Great beach and very nice facilities. Breakfast buffet was superb and the thursday seafood-night was amazing. Room cleaning was great and they even treated us with delicious chokolates every second day. One of the best hotels we have ever visited.

Honestly…..nothing!

The hotel oozes luxury, but in a very natural and comfortable way. I have stayed in many luxury hotels that are sometimes ludicrous in terms of design, facilities, service and atmosphere. But we felt at home and we had a very special 8 nights at Kempinski. Our room was very comfortable and all of the facilities there were excellent. The welcome to our room with the towel display on the bed, the cake, chocolates and fruit was a very nice touch. I have been to Oman several times and have seen much of its beauty. For my wife it was her second visit and we quite deliberately spent most of our time at the hotel. We ate most of our meals in The Kitchen restaurant, but also enjoyed one meal and an evening of watching football in the Countdown Sports Bar and had a meal in Bukhara, the Indian restaurant. The quality of food and standard of service in The Kitchen was exceptional, with so much choice every evening and also for breakfast. All of the waiting staff were very helpful, but a special mention goes to Jay, who seemed to adopt us on our first evening and provided outstanding service at other meals when we were seated in his area. We're not big drinkers, but we did take advantage of Happy Hour for a brief period at Zale Beach Club most evenings. It's a delightful outdoor space, especially early evening as the light begins to fade. We made use of the Cascade Pool Serenity every day during our stay and both of the pool attendants there were excellent, keeping us supplied with iced water and water melon. The pool itself, the sunbeds and the surrounding areas were all kept in excellent condition and it was a very quiet and peaceful environment in which to be able to relax. Overall it was a memorable stay at Kempinski and the perfect honeymoon.

We were disappointed with the meal we had in the Indian restaurant, Bukhara. The food was so good elsewhere that it was noticeable here.

Some Sea view rooms are only partial sea view, they should not advertise them as sea view when sea is only visible from balcony

Private beach which was very clean, beautiful architecture and lobby, excellent gym and decent sauna. Good restaurants, location was very good.

The fact that one had to wait for breakfast every single day, that was a first for me. Never in my numerous stays have I experienced this before. Instead of compensating the guests for their wait, which was easily between 15-20 min, they would come to the table and say buffet will close in 10, why ? When we had to wait, why rush through it. Another similar issue was running out of beach/ pool towels. It’s Eid, there will be guests, should plan accordingly.

Review of Kempinski Hotel Muscat Wow, where to start. This hotel knows what it's doing from start to finish. From stunning interiors to a perfect beach location, we cannot fault anything. Close to Al Mouj for shopping and the marina and restaurants. We had a king room with side sea view, very spacious with a fabulous bathtub and walk in shower. The beds and pillows are like sleeping on clouds and kittens. Attention to detail from housekeeping is impeccable. Fresh sheets and towels every day, Bath salts, gels, etc all highest quality. Petit fours delivered every other day. We felt totally spoiled. The food was incredible. We took half board for 16 nights and were never bored or disappointed. Their genius chef, Onder Isik created a concerto of delicious international fresh food every day. The jewel in the crown however is their staff. We çannot praise them highly enough. Excellent from start to finish. Breakfast , Dinner, Facilities, everyone who is working at this Hotel from the Management to the cleaners are trained to take care of their guests. specially Mr Mohammad in the Gym who took his time to go through all the facilities, Mr Moi serving at breakfast and Dinner who took extra time to make sure everything is at our disposal, and i must add it was the Best Hotel we have ever stayed at.

only negative point after staying at this hotel and being spoiled, is that the expectation Bar for us is now so high, that we will not enjoy 100% to be at any other hotel anywhere else.

Large, comfortable rooms (Superior Double). High quality and well-maintained facilities including the beach area. Excellent food offering and service. Not too crowded when we visited (March 2025, during Ramadan). Majority of staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. In particular I would highlight Laith from the Concierge desk who went out of his way to identify where to find some very specific local souvenirs for us.

Overall, we were very satisfied. Two small points worth noting: Hotel offered paddle boards and kayaks but it was very difficult to arrange how to rent them - and expensive (tip: they are available free for one hour each day if you can find staff at the gym willing to unlock them!). Restaurant space often full of groups from outside the hotel which limited the choice of tables - book a specific table as early as possible if you have a specific preference! (this may have been specific to visiting during Ramadan).

Kempinski is a great hotel, very well positioned compared to some other high-end resorts. It's very close to the airport and all the main attractions, while also being right by the beach, so you have the best of both worlds. The staff is very kind, polite, and helpful. The breakfast caters to every taste. My only regret is not having spent more time at the hotel, as I was always on day tours!

I really liked the comfortable and spacious room with a handy walk-in closet, so you didn't have to clutter your living area with luggage. Pools were great, and we also enjoyed the restaurants on site. Finally, hats off for everyone working at the hotel. The staff was not only attentive and helpful but also genuinely welcoming and friendly. Thank you, and I hope to come back soon!
