Ashraf the FOM was great. Very hospitable and well informed. He really went the extra mile to support us from our check in time till checkout. He provided advise on what to do and where to go. Beds were comfortable. Usually I have pillow problems at hotels but that wasn't the case here. Loved the none plastic bottle policy in rooms but would suggest to add the number of bottles in the room. Though it was replenished for free on order. The wait time was a bit along. Perhaps the Eid holiday rush impacted the turnaround on refills. Location is good, you can access to main roads and locations easily. However make sure to get what you need since there are no convinience stores closeby. Mahmoud at the all day diner/buffet restaurant prepared our coffee with a big smile despite the rush of orders.

It was Eid break so hotel was full which affected breakfast especially during rush hours. Housekeeping was generally fine with a couple of Minor comments such as not clearing the empty complimentary dessert plate served during Eid after cleaning the room. Also, cups were not cleaned on our first night.

I did not realise there are two Crowne Plaza hotels in Muscat. I mistakenly booked the business one, rather than the beach one, which my daughter was not pleased about. So we planned to move the following morning. However, once my daughter ate from the extensive breakfast offering, we decided to stay. The breakfast was superb and probably one of the best we have had over the years. We spent time at the pool, which, although quiet and may not have carried the same vibe as the 'beach' Crowne Plaza, was pleasant enough. The staff at the hotel were very approachable and helpful. Marie, the guest relations manager, was particularly lovely, and we were given a late checkout without charge as our flight home wasn't until 8 pm. Had we been planning to stay in Oman beyond the two nights I booked, we would have moved to the other Crowne Plaza, as that would have been more in keeping with my daughter's type of hotel. However, for an impromptu weekend break, Crowne Plaza OCEC was more than acceptable. Although I wouldn't choose this again for a leisure trip, if I were on a business trip to Oman, this would be the hotel I would choose!

This isn't related to the property per se, but we found out to our cost that the taxis which the hotel calls are triple, sometimes quadruple the cost. For some reason, taxis from the O Taxi app, which would have been a cheaper option, are not allowed to pick customers up directly from the hotel.

I booked two rooms on our 10th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival, Mr. Hisham (Duty Manager) did an excellent job to speed up our check in after seeing a long queue at the Reception. He also granted our late check out request the next day. Thanks to the reservation team who arranged a welcome anniversary cake in our room even though we didn't request one. We were delighted. The breakfast in the restaurant is also very good and the staff are so friendly. I specially thank Jennifer, Jay and Elvira for being gracious and attentive to our needs. Thanks also to the the HK staff who were efficient in all our request and for keeping our room spotless. Overall, you made our stay memorable and our kids were so happy (it is the most important). We wish to come back soon.

The bidet in our bathroom was broken when we arrived. Refused to grant 15mins extension of late check out as we were waiting for our lunch takeaway.

Spacious and very comfortable rooms, generous breakfast, nice sport facilities and pool.

Had difficulty with the airport transfer - timing of the hotel shuttle very limited, and OTAXI is not able to serve the hotel directly except with expensive luxury service. Was necessary to walk considerable distance from the hotel with luggage to call taxi

We booked a king size bedroom facing the garden. Amazing view, exceptional location and clean rooms. Staff was quite courteous, always on their toes to help.

I had requested for early check-in since we had to drop our luggage but I didn't get a response from the hotel. Moreover, we had opted for half board along with our stay. Since one of us is vegetarian, we had limited options (basically one veg curry) available for dinner.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Crown Plaza hotel for a week, and I cannot speak highly enough of my experience. From the moment I checked in, the service was impeccable. The staff were friendly, and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities I could need. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail, with thoughtful touches like fresh fruits, Eid chocolates, desserts, and complimentary toiletries. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The hotel restaurant served some of the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, and the selection of wines was excellent. In addition to the restaurant, the hotel also had two bars and lounge areas, which provided a perfect place to unwind after a long day. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, and the staff was always on hand to make sure I had everything I needed. Overall, I had an incredible stay at this hotel, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay with excellent service and delicious food, then this is the place for you. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

Bed comfort

The Hotel is far from Muscat city. It is near the convention and exhibition center and close to airport. This suited me as I was there to attend a conference in Exhibition Centre. The hotel is clean, the staff is very good. Very good Breakfast, Good Pool etc. Very nice place if you are visiting muscat on business.

For Dinner I ordered a pepperoni Pizza, it was the worst pizza i eat in my life. the quality of the pepperoni was poor so was the quality of the cheese. Never expected such food from Crown Plaza, wasted 7 omani riyal. Do not order italian food there.

Very clean, modern and comfortable stay. Exceptional staff, particularly Marie. Lovely pool area and a great base for exploring Muscat.

You will need to use taxis to get into the centre of Muscat. We ordered the free airport shuttle to collect us upon arrival and no one was there. We had to call the hotel multiple times to locate the driver.

This is my second time, I love the fact it’s away from busy area’s and quiet 💙

Not to forget to mention the lovely staff who were super amazing as usual, 2 ladies made me feel home away from home, (Priya and Maha) you both were adorable assisting me with everything I needed .. I truly appreciate your hospitality 🫶🏼

Spacious,clean, friendly, helpful staff and comfortable bed! ! The quality of the breakfast was good but not much options were their for the vegetarians. Ms. Priya was extremely helpful and welcoming. She went out of her way to be extremely kind to every traveler.

Very less option for vegetarians specially Indian guests.
