The bathroom was very nice. I love the idea of having the toilet in a separate cubicle within the bathroom. The shower is very nice with the big rain shower and strong water pressure and the bathtub is very comfortable. The room is also comfortable, spacious, and well designed. The location is not special but you can easily go to various areas in the city from there so it is practical. The valet service are kind and helpful. In the end, for the rate we paid, the stay was of very good value.

We were not able to make a tab for the room, so we had to pay our room service and breakfast on the spot, and at the breakfast, they came chasing us when we were still being seated, to pay in advance as if we were outsiders who were going to dine and run. Our room was on the second floor with a very bad view on a wall.

The staff was amazing especially the valet guys !!! All of them deserve a huge thank you for helping thru out our stay with our car rental . Always accommodating. Mr Hasan helped us so much and I can’t thank him enough . The valet crew was just a breath of fresh air and always smiling with positivity !!! The room cleaner were on point and very good with their cleaning and again a thank you for the extras . Front desk ….. amazing !!!!! from start to finish The whole stay was relaxing and inviting Thank you so much for making us feel welcomed and see you again in the near future

It was short time with Mövenpick Hotel Ghala Muscat but it was very good and the staff was very friendly and very cooperative and respectful specially Ms. Layla, Mr. Rami, Ms. Leena, Ms. Bezwait Seyoum and Mr. Vijay was very friendly

Nothing all was great

The vest thing about our stay here was the friendly and very helpful staff. They made such an exception to our stay. Hearing your name after a “Good morning” when you walk in the restaurant for breakfast, or after having been a few times to the gym already seems like a little thing, but it goes a long way. I felt like being at home after a few days already. The rooms are super nice, spacious with cool design elements and the rooftop pool is the best place to hang out. The location is also great, sort of in between the airport and the centre. Easy to get anywhere with a taxi. Can’t wait to be back here again! Thank you for all your kindness!

The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and after sleeping back was hurting. Not all vanity kits were in the bathroom once we arrived, so we had to request additionally for them, as it’s a 5 star hotel, we expect basic vanity kits to be there (tooth brush, razor wasn’t there) Breakfast buffet was good but every morning when we were coming there, 80 percent of tables were not cleaned, making it uncomfortable to find a free spot to sit. While we were eating u can notice that staff wasn’t cleaning tables for very long time. There’s no self service coffee machine, and you need to request staff to bring coffee, and it’s impossible to catch anyone on the floor. Few times we requested coffee which was never brought.

Service and location was excellent. The hotel and apartments were super clean and the gym and pool were great! I was very happy overall with my stay and I think it's a great value. The housekeeping was superb! Bravo to the hard workers and kindness in housekeeping.

They need to do a few things to make it even better in the apartments, not sure if the hotel rooms have these issues. They need an outlet in the bathroom, it's crazy there isn't one for the hair dryer or whatever else. They need a full length mirror in the room as well. Smart TV with Netflix would be great

The property refuses to issue an invoice or any other proof for the stay if the reservation was made through Booking.com, claiming that the invoice has to be issued by Booking.com. This never happened with any of the reservations I made, and it created issues with my employer. I contacted Booking.com, and they reconfirmed that they can not issue invoices, and I have to deal with the hotel. I contacted the hotel several times but without positive results. They even refused to provide proof of my stay there. This is unacceptable for any hotel around the world.

During my stay at the Mövenpick Hotel in Muscat from December 2nd to 6th, 2024, I had the pleasure of dining and enjoying shisha at Amoun Restaurant. Mr. Youseef's warm hospitality, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to excellence made each visit to the restaurant an absolute delight. His professionalism and genuine care for guests are truly commendable. I highly recommend Amoun Restaurant to anyone visiting Muscat and strongly suggest seeking out Mr. Youseef for an unparalleled dining experience. We arrived in Muscat on an early flight and were very pleased to be able to check in to our room which we were also given an upgrade around 11 am. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room with a fabulous bathroom, which included a walk in shower and also a bath. Lots of seating and a small kitchen area. Large rooftop swimming pool had fantastic views of Muscat which was a good place to relax after a busy day sightseeing. Parking was easy with a valet taking our car to park and then returning it when we needed it again

The only downside with this hotel is it is slightly out of Muscat but as we had hired a car, this didn’t matter to us

1. Brand new hotel so everything is clean and fresh and it all works! 2. The deluxe king room we were allocated on the 7th floor was spacious, had a bath and a shower and all accompaniments. 3. Free parking on the basement with plenty of parking spaces spread over 3 floors. You can also use the valet. 4. Quick and efficient check in and very helpful concierge full of smiles and ready to help with local guidance. 5. Pool, Gym and Spa on the top floor which is open till late and food/drinks service available at the pool area. 6. Good selection of restaurants within the premises. 7. Great location close to city and convention centre.

1. Wrong price point for many services. Breakfast at OMR12 is more expensive than Gordon's breakfast at Savoy Grill. 2. Dates & Co cafe was good but again I struggle to justify the pricing of croissants and coffee I had there for 2 days. 3. Housekeeping is a bit late. I turned up in the room at 2pm for an afternoon nap a couple of times and found the room yet to be cleaned so had to call and ask them to prioritise it. 4. Air conditioning gets a bit too noisy in the night. 5. Gym is basic with limited equipment.
