The bathroom was very nice. I love the idea of having the toilet in a separate cubicle within the bathroom. The shower is very nice with the big rain shower and strong water pressure and the bathtub is very comfortable. The room is also comfortable, spacious, and well designed. The location is not special but you can easily go to various areas in the city from there so it is practical. The valet service are kind and helpful. In the end, for the rate we paid, the stay was of very good value.

We were not able to make a tab for the room, so we had to pay our room service and breakfast on the spot, and at the breakfast, they came chasing us when we were still being seated, to pay in advance as if we were outsiders who were going to dine and run. Our room was on the second floor with a very bad view on a wall.

The staff was amazing especially the valet guys !!! All of them deserve a huge thank you for helping thru out our stay with our car rental . Always accommodating. Mr Hasan helped us so much and I can’t thank him enough . The valet crew was just a breath of fresh air and always smiling with positivity !!! The room cleaner were on point and very good with their cleaning and again a thank you for the extras . Our honeymoon stay at this hotel was truly one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel was impeccably clean—the cleanest we’ve ever stayed in—and it always smelled fresh and inviting. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for, with a level of service that was consistently outstanding. The food was exceptional—every meal was something we genuinely looked forward to. We were so impressed with every aspect of our stay that we ended up extending it just to enjoy a few more days in such a wonderful place. We’ve stayed at many hotels before, but none come close to the experience we had here. This hotel truly sets the standard.

Absolutely Nothing.

I stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel in Muscat, Oman for three nights, and I genuinely can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, everything was simply perfect. What truly stood out was the incredible staff – by far the friendliest and most welcoming people I’ve encountered in all my years of traveling. Every interaction, from reception to housekeeping to restaurant service, was warm, genuine, and made me feel like a valued guest. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, but somehow still feels like a hidden gem – it’s seriously underrated for the quality it delivers. Whether you're visiting Muscat for business or leisure, I highly recommend staying here. Thank you to the entire team for making my trip so memorable – I’ll definitely be coming back!

Nothing not to like about the place.

The vest thing about our stay here was the friendly and very helpful staff. They made such an exception to our stay. Hearing your name after a “Good morning” when you walk in the restaurant for breakfast, or after having been a few times to the gym already seems like a little thing, but it goes a long way. I felt like being at home after a few days already. The rooms are super nice, spacious with cool design elements and the rooftop pool is the best place to hang out. The location is also great, sort of in between the airport and the centre. Easy to get anywhere with a taxi. Can’t wait to be back here again! Thank you for all your kindness!

I liked everything

It was short time with Mövenpick Hotel Ghala Muscat but it was very good and the staff was very friendly and very cooperative and respectful specially Ms. Layla, Mr. Rami, Ms. Leena, Ms. Bezwait Seyoum and Mr. Vijay was very friendly

Nothing all was great

Really beautiful and polite staff. They're exceptional. We had breakfast and dinner included. Highly recommend this rate if you can get it. The dinner buffet was amazing. It will save you a fortune. We were upgraded to a suite by the lovely check in staff. We did pay 50aud for early check in at 6am. The pool is lovely but the water was far too hot to enjoy. There is a hot spa as well. The temperature outside in late May is high 30s, a cool pool would be lovely but unfortunately the water was unpleasantly hot. The hotel is new, spacious and impeccably clean.

The location is in a developing area, not close to the beach. You're surrounded by sand and a few buildings. There are no shops or restaurants. The price of room service is far too high and the price of the restaurants in the hotel is ridiculous too. On a separate note there is no shuttle you'll have to get a taxi and to avoid being overcharged prebook on an app. We paid 40aud for 9 minutes. Absolute robbery.

We stayed at the Mövenpick Hotel Ghala Muscat twice during our trip and were super happy both times. The location is excellent, and our room was very comfortable – we even received a lovely upgrade, which made our stay even more special. The staff is incredibly helpful and genuinely friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The pool area is absolutely dreamy – loungers do fill up quickly, but we were lucky to get one and enjoyed every minute. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I’m already looking forward to our next stay here!

We found the laundry service to be relatively expensive, so we’ve decided not to use the hotel laundry during our next visit.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and after sleeping back was hurting. Not all vanity kits were in the bathroom once we arrived, so we had to request additionally for them, as it’s a 5 star hotel, we expect basic vanity kits to be there (tooth brush, razor wasn’t there) Breakfast buffet was good but every morning when we were coming there, 80 percent of tables were not cleaned, making it uncomfortable to find a free spot to sit. While we were eating u can notice that staff wasn’t cleaning tables for very long time. There’s no self service coffee machine, and you need to request staff to bring coffee, and it’s impossible to catch anyone on the floor. Few times we requested coffee which was never brought.

Service and location was excellent. The hotel and apartments were super clean and the gym and pool were great! I was very happy overall with my stay and I think it's a great value. The housekeeping was superb! Bravo to the hard workers and kindness in housekeeping.

They need to do a few things to make it even better in the apartments, not sure if the hotel rooms have these issues. They need an outlet in the bathroom, it's crazy there isn't one for the hair dryer or whatever else. They need a full length mirror in the room as well. Smart TV with Netflix would be great
