I rarely put up reviews during our stay as most of the time, it provides adequate and sufficient need for us. But, our experience with Unks House Homestay is what I will call 'homey'. They provide more than enough of our needs and the owner, Sir James, made us feel like we are part of his family. Me and my partner enjoyed the hospitality, the extra miles, and everything in between. He even offered us to use the comfort room and stay there since our flight is at 10PM - free of charge. We will surely come back with our friends or family. Looking forward to seeing James and Emma in the future again. We are very happy and satisfied. God bless you more with all the goodness you've done to people.

Everything is perfect. The value for money is superb!

the plated breakfast was more than a steal for the amount you paid and charges for other extras were very affordable. the place though not near the beach front, is just a few meters away which is fine. the place was very well kept clean and the relaxing vibe will really make your stay worth while. a big thanks to ma'am emma for arranging our airport transportation and countryside tour, and to the excellent staff (ate lorena and flor) for taking good care of us during our stay!!!

Not so much, maybe the AC blower could use some repair or maintenance to make it less noisy. Otherwise you can still have a good night sleep.

Very nice house and patio, and a very nice family! So helpful and responsive by messages ! Room was comfortable and clean, and bathroom had nice hot shower. Bed and pillow comfortable! Not a big room but was enough for few days! Breakfast included is nice, and was so nice of them to prepare us a take away breakfast for our early check out ! Walking distance(10-15 minutes) to main turisty area, rental scooter available just next to the house. Although prohibited to park almost everywhere along the road in the centre

Very good location (5 min to main street, beach etc), but still quiet. Hosts were also very friendly, helping out with all questions, suggestions. Place is very nice, outside is a green area where you can sot and enjoy. Very cozy and welcoming place.

Road to the property is uneven/ muddy so the taxi driver cannot get you directly in front of the accommodation, you need to walk few minutes. Also, AC was very loud (at least in one room which was booked). During the night you can hear rooster voice.

Best place to stay in Panglao!Super safe and quite, exactly what I was looking for! Friendly owner and staff that helped me with all my queries. Great location, far enough from all the noise but close enough to the beach/main activities, just 6-8 minutes by walking. Comfortable big bed and hot shower. There is a chill zone on the roof, where you can hide from the sun or read the book during day time or just relax in the evening. Delicious breakfast in the morning. Thank you for allowing me to check-in early in the morning upon my arrival, I was exausted after my long journey!

Home from home w great owners and team in a real characterful building where you can relax immediately. Room very comfortable and large enough w en suite shower that does what it should. A/C very effective and at night can be switched to fan (not chill) which reduces noise. Great kitchen produces tasty fresh dishes at modest prices, including decent free breakfast, About ten minute walk to Alona Beach and opposite ATM w great Korean food and karaoke plus next to loads of eating, local and tourist, at down to earth prices.

Nothing much - no wardrobe for hanging but staff solved problem installing a perfect sized clothes rail and six hangers.

Wonderful host!!!! James made the experience top notch. James was very helpful from the beginning and answered our questions prior to booking with Unk's House Homestay. My whole family enjoyed the complementary breakfast - and even offered to-go sandwiches if we had to leave early in the morning. Truly a wonderful host.

Not so much as what I didn't like but maybe something that can be improved - the path going into the place could use a little TLC and the shower was a little small from what I am use too - but they are insignificant issues.

We really enjoyed our stay. All the staff is super friendly and helpful and our room was comfy and silent. We really appreciated that we could have our pick up arranged and the tuktuk recommended was as well really friendly and available for us. We got sandwich in the mornings no matter how soon we woke up because it was too soon to enjoy the breakfast. Breakfast was nice with some options to choose. I really enjoyed watching people sing on karaoke night on Friday! The location is fantastic because it's near the town(you can walk easily) and enough far away from the noises. Price was fantastic so I guess I can't ask for more! Definitely would go back.

The toilet had everything needed but I would appreciate if it would be a bit more clean and probably needs an extra towel to dry the floor after the shower because after the shower all the floor was wet for some time. Taking into account that is a shared toilet I would like to find the floor dry when I need to use it. I don't mind to drink instant coffee but not having milk (only had powder milk) was a disappointment for me personally.

Was a bit hard to find first, but actually it is just a plus, that the place is a bit hidden from the busier area but still near enough for anything you need in Panglao. We had 5 fantastic days and would definitely come back again! We really enjoyed everything, our room was great, breakfast also great and all the staff was super nice and welcoming, got really good tips what to see besides the usual things around.

Staff were all amazing, got lots of good recommendations as we didn't have loads of ideas when we arrived. James/ Unk, Emma & Max the dog were great hosts! Great breakfast in the morning. They arrange travel and tours for you also. Location is perfect as is central but also quiet so you can get a good night sleep! The room was nice and cosy, felt very at home!
