The owner was extremely kind to us (check-in earlier, transport to our next destination…) in our room the air conditioning didn’t work and immediately the owner offered us another room and even she apologized for not checking the aircon. Thank you so much! It was very kind of you. The rooms have a small terrace with a table and couple of chairs very useful to seat and drink something as well as hang up the wet clothes. There was cold filtered water at any time. The accommodation is located in a quiet street far from the noisy main street.

It’s not easy to find the accommodation also although it’s close to the beach the path has a lot of rubbish in the street and it’s not well light up but it’s completely safe.

100% recommended. We had an excellent stay at JOHN VERHEL HOMES Guesthouse. The room was very nice, clean with comfortable beds and beside very affordable and not too expensive for a room with 2 double beds When I booked and sent a message to the host, she replied quickly and allowed us checked-in earlier too. The owner is very kind and helpful.♡ The room was clean and most of all no mosquitoes nor ants. It was peaceful and quiet even though it is located near the main lively street. We were very comfortable therefore we decided to extend our stay and the owner kindly accommodated us for 4 nights. She provided us free purified water. We also really appreciated the bathroom: clean, in good conditions with hot water supply (warm shower very much appreciated after salty day in the ocean and on the sands) The bath towels were pretty with a good smell♡ The Guesthouse is close to all facilities as well to the beach with an access by walking into the stairs within cheap "souvenirs" shop on the way. The owner allowed us to park our scooter, that we rented at the top of the street, just inside the garden. You can also ask for infos & advices as well. Thanks for your kindness. We just hope to come again.♡

Having to leave.

We had such a lovely stay, the location is perfect, a 2 minute walk to the Main Street and 5min walk to the beach yet it’s very quiet. Owners were lovely and we ended up extending our stay and they were very accommodating. Beds were very comfy and air con worked well, one of the cleanest places we have stayed very worth the money! WiFi worked great and we had a kettle and a washing line to hang our clothes.

Nice hotel in Panglao close to the center of tourism there, not far away from the airport and close to the crowded Alona Beach. If you want to visit a very nice beach rent a scooter or drive by tricycle to the Dumaluan Beach, which is not so crowded and super nice. The hotel is located in a calm area, but close to the main road. Rooms are clean and nice. Hosts are not the whole time there and we arrived late - but the hosts put a piece of paper at our door and leaved the keys in the lock of our room, so that we could enter the room without meeting them - so a 24h "check in" is possible. Dogs are welcoming us at the property, but they are harmless.

Aircon was noisy, but that was in general in the Philippines where we stayed. Barely all hotels use this box like ACs, after a while you get used to their noise. There was no hook at the roof of the hotel for self-brought mosquito nets, but that we also not found in our whole trip in the Philippines.

Great location. There is a path that leads straight to the beach. It is away from the noise but only a few minutes walk to the centre. There is a clothesline to dry out your clothes. The staff are very friendly and can organise airport transportation if needed.

Only cold water is available in the shower. The bed sheet is a bit small for 2 people, it can get a bit cold at night with the AC on fully.

The room was very clean and the property was close to the beach front. Great value for money. Easy to arrange an additional night and transfer to the port.

It wasn't easy to contact the owners when I was there to check in. Might be worth letting them know when you'll arrive. There was a jug of water in the room, but I couldn't see anywhere to fill a bottle, and I hate buying bottles.

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was a really enjoyable experience. The property is small but the room have enough space and are comfortable. There’s is drinking water at the reception area and the balconies in the rooms are cozy.

The room and bathroom were large. Great shower, had a kettle. Host was friendly and helpful and responsive to requests. Was set back from the noisy beach scene but still close enough to beach and main street. Loved this enough to book another night.

Didn't love the uneven path to and from the beach but that's not the host's doing!

Spent a week in great location. Hard to tell on maps but there's an alley that takes you straight to beach. Wifi and ac good as well, very comfortable stay
