We wish we had stayed more than one night — we absolutely loved it here! Right in the middle of the Alona Beach buzz, this place is a peaceful haven. The long pool is perfect for relaxing, and we had a lovely couple’s massage at the end of the day, which we really appreciated. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We didn’t get the chance to try the food, but it looked amazing — we definitely regretted not having time for a proper meal there. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with both a fan and AC working perfectly. Overall, it was the perfect place to rest before our flight to Siargao, and the hotel even offers free shuttle service to the airport and Alona Beach, which is a huge plus. So i highly recommended for a peaceful stay in Panglao!

The bathroom had a ventilation fan, which unfortunately also allowed hot air and a few mosquitoes in — I’d suggest adding a mosquito net to cover that opening. There was a small issue with the laundry service — which I actually recommended they change to a different provider — but to their credit, the young woman at the front desk (whom i should remember the name) handled the situation very professionally and kindly, and we weren’t charged for it. That level of care and responsibility really stood out.

Rooms were always cold to escape the heat. Overall we loved our 5 nights and were sad to leave but if we were ever back in Bohol there is only one place we would stay and that is Island World. We had villa #1 with 3 bedroom areas.

Other than more storage for clothes and hooks on the doors (mostly in the bathroom) for the price point you really can’t dislike much.

Everything was just perfect!!! First I was bit worried about the distance to Alona beach, but there was free transfer from 8AM to 10PM from hotel to beaches and back. There was also 2 pools in hotel complex. And the staff!!!!!!! They were ready to fulfill all your request with beautiful smile. Good work, Niels🙂. Hospitality in the highest level.

The resort is very intimate and quiet, which was refreshing after staying at a bigger , busier resort. Island World was quiet and calm, and the staff recognized us easily. Having our own little bungalow was spacious and comfortable. The pools were great, although the bubbles button was broken. There was a little bit of peeled paint around the pool edge, but the pool itself was clean and staff cleaned it daily. It also is lit at night, which makes a lovely vibe. The food was absolutely FANTASTIC! And for reasonable prices, too. The food is made fresh to order, so we could easily ask about avoiding our dairy allergy, and they could accommodate it. They do not have alternative milks for coffees, so I stuck to Americanos instead of my usual lattes. The coffee lounge upstairs might be the cutest coffee shop I've ever seen in my life. The massages were very affordable and pretty nice. The massage space near the pool has a cabana feel to it. Having the shuttle to go back and forth between Alona beach was really great! We could call it easily via WhatsApp when we were ready to return. The staff also was very accommodating about arranging rides for us to see only the Tarsiers instead of alone if their whole day tour packages. We really enjoyed our stay, and would definitely stay there again in the future! Thank you!

The only thing missing was a phone or intercom system to contact the front desk. Of course it was a very very short walk, but when it's raining or if it's just a quick question, it would be nice to be able to call over to the desk instead of walking there.

This place was a total gem, provided everything you need for a relaxed stay. Two pools, both lovely, its own little restaurant where the food was excellent. The drinks menu was extensive and my son fell in love with the vanilla frappes! Organising transport was a breeze We used the place as a chilled base, went out on dives and the returned for the remainder of the day, no need to go out again unless you really wanted to. Staff super friendly. Highly recommend.

The stairs to the mezzanine beds are very steep, you need to be fit and able and be very careful. Also gets quite warm up there but a minor issue in comparison to all the positives.

This was our third hotel in the Philippines and our favourite! The location is perfect, just off the main road so nice and quiet but you’re able to walk to plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel also offer a free shuttle to and from Alona beach which was great for activities and food choices! The rooms are so comfy and cosy and the pool was our favourite part! The property is immaculate and really well looked after and clean! Our breakfast each morning was tasty and being able to have breakfast from 5:30am was great for the early day trips. The staff were so helpful, they helped organise our shuttles to and from the ports, helping us arrange our island hopping day trip and answer any questions we had. They were very kind and approachable and made Island World that extra bit special! I can’t recommend staying here enough!

This is a great place to stay in Panglao. Its 15 minutes walk from Alona Beach, or use the on demand shuttle service up to 22:00. They will pick you up from town for the return if you phone them. Its a really good. The resort is set away form the main road, along small track, and the noise and hustle and bustle of the actual beach area, allowing a good nights sleep. The pool is good and the rooms well appointed. The staff are all friendly and will happily answer any questions you have. Breakfast is good and plenty to start the day. I would have no hesitation staying here again

This hotel is wonderful. The pool is clean and lovely, location is good, rooms clean and cool. We don’t mind walking to locations and it was 10/15 min walk to the beach front/ restaurants. However, they have a free shuttle service which can take you to the centre and some other places for free/ a small fee. This is an amazing service. The only minor thing we would feedback is that the doors (sliding type) don’t fully seal when you close them and the fan to the outside is exposed. This means that there were sometimes mosquitos around in the evening/ night. If you take some bug spray then it shouldn’t be a problem!

We stayed for 2 nights at Island World Panglao as a family of four (2 adults and 2 young girls), and honestly, we wish we could have stayed longer! This was our second resort in Panglao, and it completely exceeded our expectations. The two pools are absolutely stunning—already beautiful in photos, but even more amazing in person. The whole place has a peaceful, tropical charm that instantly relaxes you. It's set in a quiet, beautiful area, yet still close to the beach. They even offer transfers to the beach, which made things super convenient. The room was huge, spotless, and very comfortable. We especially loved the relaxing sofa on the terrace—perfect for enjoying the calm surroundings. The food was another highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. A big thank you to the chef for such amazing meals! The reception staff were also incredibly helpful—they arranged our early 5:30 AM airport return and even prepared breakfast for us to take. This place truly felt like a 5-star experience in Bohol. We’ll definitely be coming back!

I like it here. The room is super spacious, very clean, and the overall living environment is excellent. The breakfast is delicious, and the owner and staff are very welcoming. They even contact you in advance to see if you need a car to the hotel. The pool is huge and clean. I will definitely come back here next time.
