It was my very first time to stay in a hostel, I was a bit nervous about it but I had a great stay. Location of the hostel is just amazing. We came for st doninikan fair and it was the perfect spot. Lots of cafes and restaurants, and beautiful marina, and short walk to Neptune fountain. It was very easy to follow instructions from the email on how to enter and get the keys. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bed linen clean. Amenities in the room were simple but everything we needed. Carpet could be refreshed or changed to something easier to clean. There were bathrooms on every level of the building. Kitchen and social room were very handy, although I was there for a short city break and I was dining out, there were all the basics to cook there and then.

Bathrooms could be cleaned more often or there could be possibly chemicals available for guests to clean. Our neighbours from rooms next to ours weren't very clean, therefore I bought bathroom cleaner to sanitise whenever we wanted to use the bathroom. Not enough toilet paper.

Most things were excellent and we were given a 4-bedroom room to ourselves for 2 ppl. Friendly staff and tidy. Fantastic location in the city. Definitely recommend and definitely would stay again.

The only thing was that the towels were not readily offered so thought they were not included. I read the next day on the information on the door that we could have asked for them but this was in small writing and saw it too late so don't forget to ask for a towel. Would have been nice for them to be on the bed. Otherwise full marks.

Great location- literaly in the Old Town. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Staff super friendly. They accepted my assistance dog ( which got an ear infection pretty much on arrival and had to stay in the room most of the Time). Easy access to the Hostel after hours. Great kitchen facilities - two fridges, kettles etc. We had room 7, no lift, but that wasnt a problem for us. Plenty of room.

There were school groups. Kids were up till 2-3 am, gathering at the stair case being bery noisy. Staff dealt with them. However it wasnt the hotel's fault but the group leaders/teachers that didnt keep the kids under control.

I enjoyed the private rooms & the staff were very kind and helpful. Responded fast on booking.com to my many questions. Very close to public transportation and nearby attractions. There were 2 bathrooms per floor, at least on mine but was never busy when I needed to shower or use the restroom. Clean bathrooms and good water pressure. I like that there was a mop so it wouldn’t be wet on the floor after use. Room was small but I didn’t feel cramped at all. With a small desk and chair.

My bed was very very very creaky, I didn’t mind it so much I just felt that I was bothering others in other rooms when I moved around since I was on the 2nd floor. The other guests were a loud around 10pm every night, I wasn’t going to make a big fuss and call the reception or anything just a bit annoying.

Good location and clean. You could see it was taken care off.

The walls are too thin, which means that you hear everything and that’s quite annoying. Especially when you are trying to sleep but some people on another floor is playing music and partying in the middle of the night. Would be nice with more curtains. We only had one curtain that did not even cover the whole window and the small windows did not have anything.

- I booked a single room with private bathroom, but I got a quadruple room (a bunk bed and two single beds) with a private bathroom for myself. More bedspace of course. But it's not what I booked and wasn't informed in advance. - mattress too thin and old, you could feel the bed frame

Excellent Stay at an Affordable Gem in Gdansk! I recently had the pleasure of staying at Moon Hostel in Gdansk, and it turned out to be one of the best and most budget-friendly hostels I've encountered. Absolutely great location couldn’t have booked a cheaper but closer place to stay. It was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful. There was a kitchen area downstairs for anyone staying longer than like the 1 night we did to be able to make yourself food and drinks. We were allowed to check in early as the room was ready which was great to drop our bags off. Would recommend staying here for anyone that wants to be in the heart of Gdansk for a great price. There was also a coded gate to get into the property grounds and then a lock on the door to enter reception if you were going in after a certain time which I liked the security of it. Was nice to know not anyone random could be walking in.

Nothing I can’t say anything bad about the place.

Nice and clean hostel, that has everything you need. There is free tea, coffee, sugar, even cereals with milk. Towels you can receive at the reception, which is written in the instruction on the door of your room. Bathrooms and toilets are cleaned every day.

However, the pillow and the mattress were really uncomfortable. I think they need to be replaced. Also, we were surprised when found out that we weren't able to use the microwave in the evening, as it was taken away by employees of the hostel. And someone took my hairbrush, which I forgot in the bathroom.

It is a very clean place, rather quiet with a beautiful view on an old tower and part of the harbour. You can reach the centre of the old town within 5 minutes. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a kitchen with two sets of fridges, stoves and one oven and a microwave in the basement.

Everything was quite alright; may be a few doors could need some fixing.
