Kobza Haus is an excellent choice for visitors looking to stay in the heart of Gdańsk’s Old Town. The location is outstanding—situated in a pedestrian zone on Wyspa Spichrzów, just steps from the Green Gate and the bustling Dlugi Targ, the city’s main square. Nearly all of Gdańsk’s top attractions, restaurants, and bars are within easy walking distance, making it perfect for exploring the city on foot. The hotel itself is housed in a row of renovated old-style buildings, blending modern interiors with the historic charm of the surrounding area.

Some rooms overlook the lively pedestrian street, which can be a bit noisy in the evenings and nights, while others face the quieter internal courtyard—ideal for those seeking a more peaceful stay.

I loved the hotel, even though bed and furniture were old, it was very comfortable. The best shower ever! Breakfast was amazing, as were staff. Location was perfect. It was unfortunate that there was building work going on in the adjacent building. This was extremely noisy and unsettling, so it was difficult to have quiet times in the room. I had to go out as the drilling and banging noises were becoming very stressful. Staff continually apologised for this. I had initially booked a standard double room, and was informed on arrival that I had received a free upgrade due to the building work noise. But I am not clear if the room I was allocated to was a step up. It did feel like a standard double room. Please correct me if I'm wrong. However, overall, and apart from the noise from building work, I do feel the hotel is comfortable, safe, well located and has lovely, helpful staff. Thank you.

We enjoyed our stay at Kobza Haus. The location was great, right in the historic area and close to walk to all of the sites we wanted to visit. The breakfast was abundant and excellent quality! The staff was very friendly.

Our room was on the first floor right above a bar, so the street noise was very loud until 4:00 am the first night. This is not the hotel's responsibility. We would still recommend this hotel, but suggest requesting a room on the inside or on an upper floor to minimize the noise. It also helped to wear ear plugs and run the fan to create some white noise.

Although we checked-in after midnight, all the self check-in details given were clear and the process was smooth. Great location. Cozy room.

Right next to Kobza, there is an ongoing reconstruction site and in the first morning we encountered a situation that at 8.40 am a full speed drilling and hammering was going on literally behind our room’s wall - so loud and unbearable that you could not even hear speaking to one another. The hotel was full and the receptionist could not move us at that moment to a different room. As we had a work call, we were forced to find a cafe where to have this call.

Nice big room, comfy bed, great breakfast. Friendly and helpful reception staff. The location meant that all the sights of the Old Town were on our doorstep.

Our room faced what is now a very busy street (we stayed there about 10 years ago when the area was a bit derelict, but nice and quiet). Even with the windows firmly closed, this time we were woken up at 02:00, 03:00 or even 04:00 by the noise from revellers. There is now a “Cocktail Bar” (?!) on the ground floor, which was directly below our room, and where most of the noise seemed to come from. And nit-picking … the otherwise excellent breakfast buffet was let down by watered-down orange juice.

Very clean, very kind staff. Super close to old town. There are plenty of food places and Żabkas around the hotel so food is never an issue. The cleaning is not everyday, which I prefer. You communicate when you would like a clean to the front desk or put the "please clean my room" sign on the room door.

The hotel is located right on a busy street so if not having a silent room at night is a problem, maybe try and get the rooms that don't face the street. I could hear people talking and laughing during the night, outside.

Excellent location just outside the Old Town. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in Gdańsk. Spacious room on 4th floor. staff very helpful and friendly. clean throughout.

The lift stops at the 3rd floor, so one flight of stairs up to 4th. With arthritis this can be a problem. Room was a garret room with just Velux windows in the roof. One had a broken handle, and you had to climb onto a chair to open and close them all. There was no controller for the aircon, and I had to pick one up from Reception. Despite there being a sign stating that bacon, egg and sausage could be had by special request, it was there without request on Saturday and Sunday. When I nipped in on Monday for a quick breakfast before departing for the airport, there was none. The waitress offered to cook some, but I didn’t have time. Felt that my options had been taken away. Had I known I could have ordered the day before.

Excellent location, approx 20min walk from train. Right on the edge of the Old Town area. Room was great for a few nights, it even had a small fridge, and most importantly, lots of hot water and good pressure in the shower. Great value for a solo traveller, even better for a couple.

Nothing about the room or the hotel that I could comment on apart from the fact that there is building work going on across from the hotel (Feb 2024) so it is noisy from about 8am. A room at the back may be quieter if you like to sleep on in the morning.

The fantastic position has its downside as everything in life. A room on the first floor facing the bustling street could be incompatible with sound sleep patterns. The direction was so kind to change my room as soon as a better one was available. Thank you

Right in the heart of Gdansk old town, was a perfect location at a very reasonable price, staff where friendly and helpful. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

We had requested a double and the hotel did contact and warn us inadvance that this might not be possible. We had a very spacious twin with the beds pushed together which was fine and is the only reason we scored our stay a 9 rather than a 10.
