Very nice localisation, it's heart of the city center, we had really quick access to all bar and restaurants. 6 min walk from the railway station Staff was friendly, we forgot to bring iron and a cleaning lady handled that in 5 min. Room was clean and spacious, beds were very comfortable. L'Occitan bath kit deserves a separate like from me :)

Air conditioning was randomly switching to warm and cold without a reason. When opening shower cabin all the water was draining on the floor which can be even dangerous when you walk in the bathroom. I hope that they will take this problem into account The design of the hotel looks very nice, however, you can see that the wardrobe and desks in the room are not new I have only positive impressions after our stay but still it's far from being 5 stars hotel

The location is great, lots of restaurants nearby, the hotel is clean, bed comfortable, staff very friendly. Thet kept the pool and sauna area open even beyond the opening hours. The reception staff very nice. I loved the toiletries. The toom is spacious, bed is not the best but comfortable.

There is no tea/coffee maker in the room. No kettle. The quality of food from the 24hrs menu. The BLt ssnwich was just toast with salad and fried bacon. Which is not what a BLT should be.

The hotel is beautiful and well located, and our room was large with a comfortable large bed, large desk, other seating and cupboards. The large windows had heavy curtains to keep out any light during the evening. From the Monopol it was an easy ten-minute walk to our conference at the university. I can't say enough about the staff, who were friendly and very helpful. And the restaurant! Excellent breakfast buffet. And we enjoyed a truly memorable dinner, food and drink, and the wonderful piano player to accompany it all. Unforgettably wonderful!

The lighting in our room was insufficient near the closet cupboard. Two staff members came to the room, showed us how switches and everything worked. A few minutes later one returned with a floor lamp that solved our little problem. Very nice!

Location was ideal for us. The amenities like the pool, sauna and hamaam were great. The room was on the top floor and was really quiet and yet we had a great view with the balcony! We were treated like royalty. The bathroom cosmetics were good brand L'Occitane, which my wife loves. Great stay!

Minor aspects really but, we were missing a USB charger in the room as we would want to charge our phones and there was no prefixed USB chargers, also our room had some LED lighting, which was clearly not working. None of these aspects though have affected our stay.

What is the main competitive advantage if we start from the top? It must be its location, architecture and image as a five-star hotel and flagship of Katowice. By European standards, the value for money is superb, too. To boot, the spaciousness, coupled with a rich gastronomic offering, convinces many guests. We had mixed feelings regarding the hotel staff, though. This hotel should make improvements, even though no segment is drastically underperforming. Hotel Monopol Katowice offers the prestige and image numerous event organisers seek for their events. In the same breath, there is room for improvement and fine-tuning the service to the demands of business guests. The boutique SPA centre boasts a pool sizable enough for a proper swim before or after an event. Tried-and-tested.

Indeed, the hotel is in good form after 21 years. Nonetheless, wear and tear is beginning to show. The hotel locks are old school and need some crafty convincing to give way to the room.

Hotel Monopol exceeded our expectations in every way! The historic building is beautifully preserved, blending old-world charm with modern luxury. Our room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and provided every comfort we needed. The dining experience was outstanding, with delicious dishes and an extensive wine list. The spa and wellness facilities were top-notch, offering a relaxing retreat after a day of exploring. The staff was professional, courteous, and always ready to assist. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a luxurious stay in Katowice!

True 5* experience - they have the best gym I ever found in hotels in Poland! The swimming pool has an amazing vibe to it Cesar salad from room service menu out of this world I replaced bacon for extra chicken and my diet with workout was sorted without sticking my nose out of the hotel, breakfast - well worth it al'a carte menu + buffet amazing eggs and the restaurant looks amazing, in comparison to other 5-4* hotels this was a blessing experience

During my 2 weeks stay I had to re-code my key card like 10 times everything else is well deserved 5*

This is truly an exceptional hotel indeed. The staff are professional and warm. The facilities are immaculate and of a superior quality. The rooms are thoughtfully designed. And one small touch that I really enjoyed was the photography around the building which is simply stunning.

Everything, we loved everything! All the staff are so friendly, our room was beautiful. Art deco elegance with all modern 5* facilities. The breakfast we ate was delicious. The spa area is a treat for a city centre location. Coffee and cakes were scrumptious. The hotel has a fantastic vibe. Our stay was amazing 😍

The fact we had to leave having stayed just 2 nights. There is nothing to dislike.

The hotel is great of itself, but I want to underline the excellent staff and reception services. I had accidentally injured myself while in the city and needed to do some creative rebooking of my stay. The reception staff were extremely helpful, flexible, and informative. Top marks!
