A very functional space with a sea view. For breakfast and other meals we prepared ourselves we often sat at the table outside where we could also watch the sun rise. During the days leading up to our stay at these apartments, you could message any questions to the operator of the apartments. I frequently received responses within minutes - even during evenings. Very helpful. Our host came to meet us as we arrived in the car and she was really friendly and helpful. We found the location quiet despite being very convenient for a few local restaurants on the same road. The food was good at these eateries and at very acceptable prices - including the local beer! Generally, anything we needed was only a short walk away. These included, shops, lovely bakery, coffee, bar, restaurants, bus stop (eg for Funchal), gym and less than 5 minutes you are walking along a lovely promenade right by the beach.

Very little to be fair. The general decoration and facilities are starting to age and look a bit tired. But that's purely aesthetic and was not detrimental to their function or our stay. There are a few hotels in the immediate vicinity, but I'm sure the daily rate of those would be far higher. We hired a car. There are only 3 free off-street spaces, but we managed to park there most of the time. If they are taken, there are many free spaces further along the road from the apartment.

We liked the spacious room and the terrace with sea view. There is also a swimming pool which we did not try since it was a bit too cold, but could be nice during other seasons. The lady by the reception was super sweet and just opposite of the compound was a small mini market and some restaurants. You are also quite close to the beach promenade (no cars there).

The carpet in the room was a bit old and we sometimes had ants in the bathroom. The first night we smelled what our neighbours were cooking (unfortunately we did not share the same taste), but after that we did not have any neighbours and thus were not disturbed anymore.

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment! The location was excellent, offering breathtaking sunrise views and very convenient as a basepoint to visit the island. The apartment itself is spacious and equipped with everything we needed. Moreover, the staff is very kind, making our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting the island!

Lovely place, has everything you need, super comfortable flats. The area has a nice chilled out vibe. Ricardo was fantastic and very hospitable and welcoming.

One thing that would have made it better is provision in the kitchen for basic things like salt, cooking oil, and cleaning products for the dishes. We ended up cleaning the dishes with a bar of soap and our hands but it wasn't too bad :)

The studio apartment was perfect for our needs, comfortable, well-equipped, close to local shops and restaurants, and good value. The staff were very friendly and in particular Diomira was extremely helpful. It’s important to note that payment is in cash only, whatever you are told by booking.com or similar sites.

We have not given the very highest scores only because some of the decor was a little worn and the pool was very small, but we did not mind and were happy with everything.

Great location with shops, bars and restaurants nearby. A very good base to discover the island. The accommodation was roomy (but we had been upgraded from a studio upon arrival), big bed, sea view from the terrace, comfy living room with kitchen. The Canico Bay Club is well maintained, very clean and has a swimming pool (we did not use it as it's not that warm in January).

My main gripe is hot water: the boiler being so small, it's impossible to fill the bathtub with hot water, it's barely enough for two to take a shower.. Bed was a tad bit stiff for my liking but I slept well though. Furniture is outdated but functional.

The location was amazing and right by the beach , had a great ocean view and very friendly staff to help with all our needs. Overall it was excellent.

There was no other way to block the light except of curtains, which would not close completely, however it is a minor concern that did not affect the holiday in any way !

the hotel was, very cozy and peaceful! it was also great value for money and just a stone's throw from some nice restaurants and the promenade. the staff were very lovely as well, both Ricardo and Dio Mera were very friendly and welcoming, they also helped us with where to go and what to do!

Housekeeper is extremely nice and friendly and helpful! She made me feel very welcome and helped me with every question that i had. The place is in a beautiful town, not too far from airport. The ocean view in the terrace and the pool, the sunbeds to share with other guests.

Sound insulation is a little poor. A lot of ants trying to find something sweet in the kitchen. Ants are everywhere in the island. So you just have to accept it.

Initially I booked a studio, but the owner provided me with one bed apartment with pretty much everything one need. He also advised on local food, shopping and entertainment.
