Superb location: Right in the centre of Funchal: Seafront, a park, a shopping centre, many restaurants, all within a few minutes walk. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean, the daily cleaning was 1st class, parking in the basement was convenient and easy. The building lived up to it's 4* rating.

Just a few minor details: a standing lamp did not work (but was repaired after asking the receptionist). The kitchen had the front panel of the fridge missing and another panel was hanging off. I would not mention this, but for a 4* accommodation, this should not happen.

They take really good care of their clients and try to fulfill all their needs.

When we arrived we asked to change the bed sheet because there were a few brown stains on it. It smelled fresh, but still it looked bad. We asked the main employee to change it, who then got really angry, shouted at me and said 'feel free to change the hotel, you're paying less than in a hostel so what do you expect'. That was really bad. He excused himself a few hours later personally and via message and they did change the sheet directly. Still not acceptable. After that he was almost too nice and we got a special vegetarian breakfast and also lactose free stuff just for us. So in total it was fine .

Extremely helpful staff, always happy to help with directions, local buses and tips on places to visit. Very warm and welcoming, good English. Incredibly clean, daily maid service made the room spotless each day and fresh towels. Wonderful breakfast, this was an added bonus. Great location for exploring, Beautiful very large, well equipped room, fifth floor. Wonderful city and mountainside views. No road noise. Lovely and quiet. Good Air conditioning (essential in Madeira!)

The steps up to room if you choose not to use the lift are not well lit, and on a timer will go off before you reach the top leaving it in darkness and easy to trip. I did fall on one occasion as I simply couldn’t see a thing when the light suddenly went off.

Friendly, helpful staff, well equipped room and kitchen (with electric kettle), fine lighting, good location next to the largest shopping mall and bus stops (including the Aerobus). Surprisingly the room looked better in reality than in the pictures provided by Booking e.g. I had a flat screen TV, not an ancient CRT one. The room was cleaned every day.

Not enough electric sockets, especially near the bed.

We spent two nights at Apartamentos Turisticos Atlantida and I can say it is a place I would definitely recommend. The location is pretty central in Funchal but at the same time we found it to be very quiet at night. The apartments are spacious and we found ours pretty clean with a fully equipped kitchen. They also have an underground garage that costs 7.50€ a day and I think this is a good deal if you have a car. The staff we met was welcoming and they explained everything on arrival. We had a great experience overall!

Really lovely apartment across 2 floors. Very spacious with everything you could need. Friendly helpful staff and a good buffet breakfast. Fantastic location right near shops, restaurants and gardens.

Not really an issue most of the year I'm sure but, when we stayed, the top floor of the apartment (2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in the roof space) had no aircon and was extremely hot compared to the downstairs part (1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen diner living room space)where the aircon was lovely. Wouldn't be a problem at all in cooler weather but was just uncomfortably hot in August.

Very good location, near the old town and city center. Very big apartment, also had kitchenette, kettle and all the dishes for cooking. Air conditioning. Bath and cleaned towels everyday.

Strange smell, though really big, hard not comfortable bed. Difficult with parking, You are not guaranteed the place and if You get it You have to leave 40 eur. deposit and 7,5 eur. for parking/day. Other option to look for parking space around. Blue color parking slots can be payed around 1.2 eur per/hour, usually can be used for around 2 hours. After 8 pm till 8 am parking is free, and You can use yellow and blue parking slots.

The property was pretty luxurious at a very reasonable rate. The staff, especially Raquel were very professional and went out of their way to help me with my luggage storage, restaurant recommendations and general city tips, and made my trip to Madeira extremely enjoyable and easy. Would definitely return. Highly recommend it to other travellers.

We arrived at our apartment gone midnight, and we were disappointed there was no bottled water for drinking, and the shops were closed .it would have been a nice gesture

A very large studio apartment with separate lounge/kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom areas and aircon - all very clean and well appointed and a very big and comfortable bed. Great location in Funchal with easy access to what the city has to offer. Lovely staff and breakfast is available in the small shop/café beside the reception, looked nice although we didn't try it. We stayed here one night on our return from Porto Santo before flying home the following day, just wish we'd had more time to enjoy it. We will certainly stay here when we next visit.

Nothing not to like! Just need to be aware it is city apartment so no pool or much in the way of facilities other than what the room has to offer.
