My stay at Pestana CR7 Funchal was an incredible experience from start to finish. The hotel has a vibrant, modern vibe with stylish interiors and a sporty touch that reflects Cristiano Ronaldo’s personality—perfect for fans and non-fans alike. The location is fantastic—right on the marina with beautiful views, close to Funchal’s old town and key attractions. The room was clean, cozy, and well-designed, with great amenities and a super comfortable bed. Breakfast was one of the highlights—fresh, varied, and served with a smile. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooftop area was also a gem—great for relaxing or grabbing a drink after a day of exploring. Whether you’re visiting Madeira for adventure or relaxation, Pestana CR7 offers a perfect blend of comfort, location, and unique flair. I’d definitely return!

Excellent location. Very clean rooms and communal areas. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great rooftop pool, pool towels provided and bath robes. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice. Location is central easy access to cars and restaurants. I would highly recommend

Nice location - walking distance to the old town of Funchal, 20 mins from the airport. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was okeish, with same things every single day. Seaview room might be a bit tricky - in our case 2 days out of 7 there was a huge ship parked just in front of hotel (see photo), so we could see people on their balconies (zero privacy and zero sea view). On top of that the engines were running the whole night, and it was too loud to sleep with open balcony (was a problem for me, since I hate AC). When the ships were located on a further side of the port it was absolutely ok and not disturbing. Sauna was only operating with a prior reservation (would be nice to be able to use it spontaneously, and late which was not possible).

Our stay at Pestana CR7 was simply unforgettable! The location is perfect – right by the marina and just a short walk from the heart of Funchal. The vibe of the hotel is energetic and modern, with lots of little details that reflect Cristiano Ronaldo’s spirit of excellence. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. On our last night, we were surprised with a special treat and a heartfelt note that made our departure even more meaningful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a sporty yet elegant design. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the pool area offered a fantastic place to relax after a day of exploring the island. Location was very good. Service and staff were very good,. Breakfast was quite good too, lots of variety. Staff at Reception were very accommodating, especially Michaela. Room was fine! Pool small, but nice relaxing area. Views spectacular from poolside.

Carpet in long hallway was like old flattened shaggy pile! Didn't seem overly hygenic. Hotel reception was very uninviting in appearance only. And Hotel looked a little like a Motel!. Photos were somewhat deceiving. But the staff and service made up for whatever was lacking in decor.

The hotel was lovely, ideal location only a short walk into the city centre. The receptionist staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are comfortable & clean.

The staff at the pool bar just did not want to serve any of us up there (and there was quiet a few of us) The pool area also looks right onto the public at the promenade which isn’t very private etc. I’d have preferred more privacy whilst in a bikini at the pool. Also, the night we arrived there was a function on downstairs and the staff would not serve us dinner….and we paid quite a lot to stay here…we were not impressed with this that there was no allowance made for hotel guests.

Breakfast is great, plenty of options giving you the possibility to eat differently every day. Location is excellent to quickly get out and around the Island. Good bed, fridge and YES a diffuser to dry my curls! Tidy and good service with friendly staff.

Location is busy and gets noisy. Parking is quite expensive (even though you get a discount from the hotel). Limited dinner menu. Pillows are quite bulky and could offer more support. The complimentary coffee is instant coffee and an abomination. The least you can do is put an inexpensive nespresso knockoff with some capsules.

We liked that it was close to the city center and to the harbour. The rooms where fine, cleaned, big enough and modern. Since it was beg of sept the hotel was not full and there where space enough by the pool. The breakfast was ok not as good as on the most hotels in Sweden, but good enough.

The only negative with the place was that if you have room facing the street, there will be music on at least saturdays from the restaurant opposite and also from the outdoor area if there is a concert. The concert ends på 12, but if you have an early start the day after, that is not optimal, so you might need to bring earplugs. We also didn’t have a working A/C on our room when we arrived in the middle of the night so needed to switch rooms. When you arrive in the middle of the night and are tired, this is hassle you can do without.

The location was amazing. the staff was amazing parking in the building (15eur per day) good breakfast

the loud music from the club across the street! until 4am-5am so loud, people screaming, Dj loud ! can't sleep! lighting ads from the same club. during day and night light (blue/red/white) like we were in club. the curtains needs to cover 100% of the window in order to get some sleep. the hotel needs to take care of this...

prime location right in the harbour, giving the opportunity to watch cruising vessels dock and leave which is quite a show. centrally located with a wide choice of restaurants within walking distance on both sides of the hotel (east and west). nice swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds to soak the sun while watching the port activity. the decoration of the lobby is nice and young, buffet breakfast is very good and offer a wide choice of things.

the restaurant is not to the standard of the rest (accommodation, breakfast); it´s more like fast-food type restaurant with pizzas and hamburgers. a more refined cuisine would be welcome (that´s why we never had diner at the hotel but in nearby restaurants).
