The apartments were in a great location with a lovely swimming pool and great to be able to use the facilities in the hotel including the beautiful pool. The apartment was lovely and bright and handy to have the kitchenette. We were delighted with the sea view which was well worth paying extra. The staff were fantastic. We were greeted by a lovely, bubbly helpful girl at reception who was very friendly & helpful as were all of the staff at reception. The cleaning staff were also lovely & friendly & did a great job. Thank you all for helping to make our holiday one

Couldn’t fault anything

- we had a great room at 6th Floor with amazing view from balcony!! - we loved to have the combination of using all the pools & comodities of the big Pestana Casino Hotel but at the Same time have a room in the smaller, quieter building - room was cleaned every day!! - public parking space was easily found nearby (cheaper than Casino Parking) - kitchen was very basic, but sufficient (no coffee machine, but we brought our own small Bialetti ;)) - old town is a little walk away, but there are a lot of nice Restaurants and Bars nearby; also close to port where you can Take the ferry to Porto Santo

Great location , really attentive and friendly staff, no issues whatsoever with anything, air con works so well and the room was so spacious and comfortable for the week to be staying. The multiple pool access in the hotel and at the apartments were gorgeous and had lots of space not too busy. We rented a car which cost 12€ every 24 hours in the casino car park a minute walk from Pestana studios. You can also pay parking on the street but the car park seemed safer and an easier place to park for us. The location is perfect just a walk from great restaurants, pubs shops etc

One of best location in Funchal, few steps from center. Only nice walk through beautiful garden down the hill and you are right there. Lot of restaurants around, and special offers for the guests of the studios on bars and restaurants at 5* Pestana Casino Garden sister hotel next door. You can also use all the facilities there with no restrictions. Very clean big rooms and xtra good shower. Yes we hear the traffic on the balcony at our room, but you are next to center so that is what we exspected.

No breakfast is included in the Pestana Casino Studios ( no onsite restaurant) ; there is is reduced price for breakfast at the adjacent Pestana Casino Hotel., which we took advantage of a few times. Because the studios have a small kitchen area, we generally made our own breakfasts. There's a small corner store close by on the hill below which is quite adequate, or we brought in food from the grocery store or market. Plus there's a great choice of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff were excellent; welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. It was great have their friendly service. Thank you ladies! Plus the cleaning staff were good; we were appreciative of their daily services. . Our few requests were dealt with promptly.; e.g. adding a hot water kettle in the kitchen area, removing a fold up cot that we didn't require. We reserved for a month's stay, which was a bit cheaper for a long stay. We didn't rent a car, so we mainly walked around, plus took an occasional taxi/tour, or the local bus. The local parks and gardens are superb. There's lots to explore! And we enjoyed the music venues, too.

It wasn't the time of year (Dec. to January) for the use of the outdoor pool and sitting area. Sometimes the traffic noise was difficult, when we had the balcony door open, had to close the door when sleeping, etc. We were on the 5th. floor, so there was a small view of the ocean, but more of the streets below.

The location was great, staff were super friendly and helpful and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds were super comfy however it would have been nice to have the option to choose a queen/king instead of the two single pushed together. We were quite happy to hear that we were able to use all the pool and breakfast facilities at the Main hotel next door.

They did not state parking available on the hotels page so we wasted a lot of time driving around looking for parking before being told we could use the Casino Park Hotel parking for 15euro per day or the Casino’s parking lot for 9euro per day. We were happy to pay this amount and for the convenience of being right next door. Please add this into your advertisement to save people’s time in future. Breakfast was average, not worth the money. Better to go to a cafe across the road.

its a good location as you walk down through a park to the city centre. We like to do our own breakfast so it was good to have a kitchenette. You can also use the facilities at the Pestana Casino hotel next door which has fabulous views.

A kettle was provided but no toaster. Also they didnt provide a sponge, washing up liquid or a tee towel and room service did not include washing up.

Excellent location and the use of the sister hotel facilities was a great option.

Our room 2012 was on the ground floor close to the reception. It was overlooking a busy road that at the weekend had traffic coming and going until the early hours. As the front door was by key access after midnight when it shut close our room actually shook with the force of the door closing! However these issues would not put us off returning.. Just request a pool view next time 😊

-very good breakfast , with many options; -parking at the hotel for rented cars (not for free); -3 outdoors pools, jacuzzi, indoor pool, saunas; -we requested and received a quiet room; -they did cleaning/the room every day; -is close to many restaurants;

-the gym is very very/too basic… only some light weights and cardio machines; -the pools from outdoor not heated (come’on, they could heat all with some solar panels for water….); so was almost impossible to use these(almost no one used); -the indoor pool is heated but only 25 degrees or so. Too cold for a heated pool though.

Location of the property is very convenient for the town centre of Funchal.

Couldn’t sleep for a few nights because of the noise from the reception. Could hear noise and chatting till late evening. Never complains about pillows in the hotels however this is my first time I have to say never slept on such bad pillows. Also carpets and walls of the room had lots of stains which didn’t make good impression.
