We stayed in this hotel in january for 4 nights and were very pleased. Upon arrival we got a room upgrade and really liked the bigger room high up the building. Great views! The bed was super comfortable and they had everything you needed in the room. I personally loved the warm soft bathrobes. The most epic for me was the breakfast which had so many fresh, great and interesting options that it made me smile every time. There is also a lot to choose from for lactose free, gluten free and vegan diets. It is definitely the best hotel breakfast I have had. Even the coffee was good! We also ordered room service and the food was amazing and well-priced! Downstairs there is a lounge bar that has local live music playing every night. This was sweet and nice to come back to after a long day of discovering the island. Also the cocktails were very good! Overall the room was nice and quiet on our floor and we slept like babies. They have a very cool cleaning policy as well. You can choose the days on which you want your room to be fully cleaned with fresh sheets etc. And on the days you do not wish the full cleaning, you get a voucher for 3€ that will be deduced from your other expences in the hotel, for example a bar or a room service bill :)

Sometimes when we opened the balcony door and somebody smoked on another balcony, the room would quickly fill up with the smell, but it was nothing too bad because the AC cleared up the air very fast. Also, and that is not a bad thing, but maybe here people read it more, it felt like many guests were not aware that a tourist tax will be charged during check-in, that is 2€ per night per person so nothing huge. But read the booking information because all that is written in there!

I arranged this booking for my parents, and they had a fantastic experience at the hotel! They stayed in a deluxe room during the New Year and were absolutely impressed. The quality and variety of the food exceeded their expectations—both the dinner and the service were exceptional. The dishes were beautifully prepared, and the staff was truly amazing. The New Year’s animation program was a delightful touch, and they received special treatment, including a beautifully arranged table, which made the evening even more memorable. They couldn’t find a single thing that went wrong during their stay and are already excited to return next year. Thank you for making their stay so wonderful!

Clean hotel, pool , outside hotel. Beautiful design of the hotel. Free parking, delicious breakfast. Amazing view from bar in the hotel.

I pay for room with mountain view, didn't get that. shower in the room leaking. Trash you have to recycle, but in the trash can fits one bottle of drink only (others I put on the floor near trash can).

Gorgeous hotel with amazing views of Funchal.Room and view were excellent. Beds comfortable and modern bathroom. Lobby, bar, dining areas all nicely decorated and modern. Great hotel for a couple Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice hot and cold as well as an omelette station for fresh eggs

Room was clean when we arrived but on closer inspection it was a little dusty in some areas (skirting, under bed) Guests have to pay to go in spa area (indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna) unless you book one of the more expensive rooms. Hotel facilities should be open to all paying guests. No bathrobes in standard or classic rooms

We stayed in The Views Baia for a few days during our honeymoon, and it did not disappoint. On arrival, there was beautiful champagne and a cheeseboard in our room as I had mentioned it was our honeymoon. The views from the hotel are breathtaking, and the facilities available mean you can relax and unwind whatever the weather (outdoor pool/ indoor pool & spa). Our room was basic but met all our needs and had a very large, comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options for everyone. There is different music every night in the cocktail bar, which we enjoyed listening to while taking in the views of Funchal below.

The hotel is a little bit out from the town centre. We walked in no problem however as it is on an incline (providing stunning views), it was tougher on return so we chose to take a short Bolt taxi home each time, usually costing around €5 which we were happy to pay.

Pros: • Convenient parking, which made arriving and leaving hassle-free. • The breakfast was excellent—delicious and with a great variety of options. • The hotel offers great wellness facilities, including outdoor and indoor pools, a jacuzzi, a hammam, and a sauna. • Stunning mountain views from the balcony, which made mornings truly special. • I was celebrating my birthday during our stay, and it was a lovely touch to receive special compliments from the hotel—it made the experience even more enjoyable.

Cons: • We were accommodated in an annex rather than the main building. Unfortunately, the rooms there felt quite worn out, and the doors in the hallways were visibly damaged. It would have been nice to be informed about this in advance. • The hotel’s navigation is quite confusing—it takes effort to find the spa, fitness center, and other areas. • The restaurant service seemed overwhelmed by the number of guests. Several times, we received the wrong orders, likely due to how busy the staff was. • The hotel advertises high-speed Wi-Fi, but in reality, the connection was extremely slow, making it difficult to use even for basic browsing.

We only stayed here for a night however could have stayed longer. Staff were super friendly, parking was extremely easy and the room was comfortable. About 15 minute walk to the center of Funchal. Tip: make a dinner reservation if you know the restaurant you want to go to. We tried a few 4.5+ rated on google and they said unless we had a reservation we needed to come back tomorrow.

This is small but you get charged 1 euro to open a tab at the hotel even if you don’t want to have anything from the bar etc. As I said it’s only a euro but completely unnecessary.

I wasn't able to use spa services as they were booked up. Perhaps I should have booked before I arrived. The room was fine...a little noisy at night with the balcony door open. Could hear my neighbour. But I was very comfortable in the room. Buffets were great! There was a lady at the reception desk who was kind of "unfriendly". I dealt with her twice. .it didn't ruin my vacation or anything. Just thought I'd mention it. All in all my stay was great and I would recommend The Views to others!

The best thing about property for February travel is the indoor pool. It’s large, has spa controls, beautiful view and comfortable loungers. Many hotels have outdoor pools that are great for sunbathing but water tends to be a little chilly for swimming. They also have a nice breakfast selection with plenty of seating and nice views.

For green compliance the electricity stops. This is not uncommon. However, we work when we travel and left a card so computers, battery bricks and phones would remain charging. The cleaners removed the card by policy. This was very unfortunate. If this is policy it would be nice to create a charging area that is not affected by room electricity being turned off. It’s very common for people now to require charged devices.

The hotel has amazing views with very friendly staff. Even the views from the breakfast room were amazing. 10 minute downhill stroll into town. Being an adult only hotel the hotel was very relaxing with very comfy poolside beds. The Prosecco and Bloody Mary bar at breakfast were a nice touch. As I was celebrating my birthday here, the hotel kindly sent me a lovely bottle of bubbly and a very nice message from the manager

When cleaning the room, none of the glasses we had brought from the bar were ever removed. Coffee dregs were left in the cups and were never cleaned. . Also balcony could have been mopped at least once in the week.That's my only criticism as everywhere was spotlessly clean
