We had such an amazing stay at ASPA studios. The location was perfect for a walk into town, but also as a base for day trips for hiking around Madeira. We used their free parking spot which was super handy, street parking was also easy to find and free in the evenings. I've never experienced better customer service at any hotel or establishment that I've been at before. Every single staff member was genuinely warm, friendly and helpful, going above and beyond their duties. They made me feel like the most important guest at the hotel, and I guess every other guest had the same impression. The rooftop terrace and balcony was perfect for unwinding in the evening. Breakfast was extremely delicious with great coffee. Beds were super comfy and huge, room was extremely spacious, and extremely clean. Don't hesitate to book this place!

Everything was perfect. The location is perfect. You can walk everywhere. Shopping mall, groceries, marina, cable car.. everything within 10‐20 min walk. Self checking avaliable. Free parking in a garage. It can be a bit challenging to park there but it's definitely doable. Just one thing - if you arrive in the night, you will not be able to park in the garage. There is plenty of spots around the apartments so it's ok. But it's better to pay for parking with coins, it doesn't take cards or notes and to install and pay with iParque is a pain :D Staff is amazing and very helpful. Breakfast? Oh my! So many things to choose from. You can have salty, sweet or both. And you have to try the overnight oats. I haven't had better. Our room was exactly like in the picture. Big bed, everything nice and clean. And also a bottle opener is included in kitchen equipment :) it's not all. The terrace? On the top of the building? The view? Just amazing. So overall, we had awesome 4 days and if we will ever come back to Maidera, we will definitely book this place again

For some people can be a little annoying that windows are facing to the street which can be a bit noisy, especially in the morning. But closing window solves all problems :)

Location was really great. A short walk to amenities and sites in Funchal. We had a room just off the pretty terrace which had lovely views of the city and mountains. Bed was very large and comfortable. It was handy there was a parking garage for our car. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I especially liked the historical photos in the stairwells. The breakfast had a great variety of foods and lovely fresh coffee and orange juice.

There was a a fair bit of traffic noise from the street and a nearby bar but I know that’s not the fault of the hotel.

The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of variety, healthy and the atmosphere was very warm. The staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. The picture of the shared patio area is exactly how it is.

The other patio area could be spruced up with plants etc., especially since the area in the picture is small and it is shared with other people. If you want privacy both places should be as equally as nice. The bathroom has no shelf in it so your toiletry bag either sits on the toilet on or the floor while your using it.

Before arriving to Madeira booked hotel, but it turned out that it is on another island (Porto Santa). It was difficult to find a hotel day by day. And we were already disappointed that we will not have a good housing. But found this option and were pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious at a nice price and also enjoyed the healthy breakfasts. Granola "overnight" is great, as well as yogurt, coffee in which you can add milk if necessary. Excellent location, also provided free closed parking, as we rented a car. Thank you very much!

Super accommodating hosts. When my friend could not sleep without AC, they brought us extra fans and set us up for a few nights in a cottage location elsewhere. Place was spotlessly clean, cleaned daily, soundproof windows, excellent buffet breakfast, lovely bathroom and shower with shampoo/ conditioner, soap, etc. Excellent location. There were also walking sticks which we used for our hiking, was a nice touch! Also you can tell the family who run this genuinely care - they really went above and beyond.

The street is loud at night if you have the windows open (but silent if you close them as they are totally sound proof). Also almost no places in Funchal have AC (apart from hotels) so just make sure a ceiling fan is fine for you. It was perfect for me anyway.

Excellent breakfast! Gadi is fantastic in every way! We chose to come because of vegan/organic etc. great fruit, muesli, yoghurt.

Coffee not so great. Would have been nice if there had been Rooibos tea. Kitchen equipment inadequate for much cooking. We would have preferred to cook more of our own meals. We don’t eat much fish, and virtually no meat! We ate no meat during our stay. So restaurants weren’t offering what we would have preferred to eat: cooking facilities not great.

The rooftop terrace is the absolute highlight of this property. The location is also a plus point, you can easily access to Funchal old town and many bars and restaurants are walking distance. Tasty breakfast with a lot of choices and many homemade items.

The studio was a bit dark and, with being 2 couples, the living room was basically converted into another bedroom - this was not very clear from the description. The breakfast room is also underground so there's no natural light coming in.

The staff :) Luisa is so welcoming and helped provide so many useful tips of what to do all around Madeira. It formed the basis of my itinerary :) Isabelle was so friendly and happy and did an awesome job cleaning. The girls providing breakfast made such a tasty, varied selection - so friendly, and enjoyed chats about travel and hiking too :) Parking was such a relief to have provided :)

The hotel is very clean, stylishly furnished with bold colors and beautiful wallpaper. We really enjoyed the breakfast, which was varied and healthy, with some dishes made in-house! The staff was friendly and helpful, making my boyfriend and me feel right at home! The terrace gave me some Frida Kahlo vibes! 🌸

If you sleep with the windows closed, you won't hear the noise from the street.
