Very nice accommodation, brand new rooms and furniture, very clean. Having a small kitchen in the room is a plus. Perfectly located in the heart of Funchal, with plenty of shops and restaurants (by the way, do not miss Akua - it is next to the hotel and a real culinary experience). Good in-room breakfast with local sweet things (e.g. pasteis de nata, yummy!) but no savoury ones. Personnel is very kind and helpful.

The furniture is nice but very minimal and in my room (although a very large one) there was no wardrobe or at least a cabinet with drawers. There are just a few hangers on a bar, this is OK for a short stay but I stayed one week and I had to keep my luggage open of the floor. Breakfast is available starting at 9 or 9:30, which is not very useful if you are heading for a whole day trip and wish to leave early in the morning.

Room was modern, clean and very comfortable with a lot of amenities (minibar, free coffe machine, tea, etc.,), some fruits and a small bottle of madera wine as welcoming gifts. Cleaning daily. Speaking English. Fantastic restaurant right beside the hotel (Akua). The location could not be more perfect with regards to the accessibility of important things.

Unfortunately the very good location is not the most silent part of Funchal, and there was a minifestival right under the hotel for a couple of days (shut down every night at around 9-10 o'clock), however the windows are quite good from soundproofing aspect, other sounds usual in a crowded neighbourhood were not very too disturbing.

This is a charming, small hotel in a fantastic location, steps from the marina. There are many restaurants in the immediate area. The room was well outfitted and we particularly loved the large window we could open. The hotel is on a busy street but when the window is closed you can barely hear the street--and that despite our staying over new year's eve when the entire downtown is a big street party. We really enjoyed our stay.

The beds were a bit too hard for our arthritic joints--a mattress topper would make a great addition--but that wouldn't stop us from coming back.

It was a very quiet and peaceful apartment it’s was easily accessible and it was central to to everything else in the city .

Theres nothing really that I didn’t like about the property itself but I did find it quiet hard to sleep as our tv in the room would randomly just switch on at random times during the night.it happened on a few occasions when we were sleeping or when we came back to the apartment after being away all day and the tv was turned on. But overall I liked the property the staff were so nice and I would definitely come here again.

The location of this property is perfect for enjoying the centre of Funshal. Most sights are walkable and the two gardens can be reached easily by bus, bus stops are 300 mts from the property. The room was spacious and had excellent airconditioning and sound proofing, bed was comfortable. Many cafes and restraunts in the street below. Bonjour Cafe opens at 6am, lovely coffee and pasteries.

Check-in is very late and the the process of getting the keys, leaving luggage prior to chek-in time and picking up luggage which you have left with them after check-out is not smoothe. Luggage cannot be picked up after 6 pm. The deposit of 100 Euros was taken from us, even though there was no Mini Bar in the room. Gave deposit in cash, it was returned at check-out.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is right in the old town, very close to everything. everything was clean and like recently open. We got everything there, from the fridge and oven to hairdryer.

Maybe the mattresses could be more comfortable. Nothing else to be remarked as a negative point. Eventually the outdoor noise when some people is going to party even at 3 AM. And the toilet seat could be nice if would be with soft close, to avoid accidentally noisy falling.

Superb location in the heart of Funchal - restaurants, shuttle, seaside, old town etc is nearby. Great value for the money. Really spacious and clean room, which had such a comfortable big bed and bedding - we slept really well. Delicious welcome treats in the room, which was a nice surprise. The facility has around 20 rooms in total, so it feels kinda like an hotel.

During the check-in you have to pay €100 either by cash or by card, which was not communicated clearly enough before. The return of the deposit wasn't immediate, had to ask several times, which was quite confusing. In general - poor and slow communication from the owner, not really friendly and understanding.

The room was quiet with very little noise from outside. Beds were super comfortable. We arranged a pick up to and from the airport which worked without a hitch and on time. A basket containing various baked goods, yoghurt, juice etc was left outside our room each morning which was perfect for us.

Nothing, although a kettle for boiling water for hot tea would have been useful. I do realise that many European hotels/accommodations do not provide these. The coffee machine did produce hot water which did work as long as you didn’t mind coffee flavoured tea! It really wasn’t a problem as there were many, many cafes nearby.

Has to be one of the best locations in Funchal! 20 restaurants within a 100m radius! 5 minute walk to the Pingu Doce (big) supermarket to get self catering supplies. Worked well for pickup for all the excursions we went on. We unexpectedly got a breakfast basket with yoghurt, pastries, croissants etc.. nice touch and appreciated!

This was a premium prices self-catering studio. There was no bread knife, salad bowl, strainer for pasta etc.. Would also be nice to have salt and pepper. We bought all this stuff and left 90% of it.

The location was perfect. Breakfast to my suprise was delivered to the room in a nice basket. Fridge was with variety of drinks + snacks. Receptionist walked to the room to show and explain about amenities. Rooms cleaness was maintained impecably through out my 4 days stay👍👍👍

I was missing a garbage bin in the room. There was 1 tiny in the toilet. Would be handy to have one more specially when the room is with kitchen equipment. I was also missing a full size mirrow. Once the older blond lady in the reception complained about me slamming the entrance door when coming in - its spooks her in reception! Actually the door automatically shuts with the bang. People with suitcases and bags take a good care of the door aswell😉
