A perfect location, in a nice little square, very close to the wonderful and elegant Municipal Place. After visiting the city of Funchal, I realized that I couldn't have chosen a better-located accommodation. in fact, it's within walkable distance of everything there is to visit in Funchal. The ladies at the reception were very kind and supportive and gave me good recommendations for restaurant (it's 1 minute away from the residence), pastry shop and excursions. I even booked an excursion through them.

Everything was okay.

For the price, in the city centre, I wasn't expecting much but I loved this place. The location is excellent, close to everything - closer than I had anticipated. Best of all, the ladies in reception, they were wonderful. I was going to have a little moan about the lack of a kettle but, as I was leaving I mentioned it. The lovely lady said I should have said because they keep kettles for guests in reception. I will bear that in mind for when I return in February and March. I would have stayed in January also but they were fully booked, so I wil have to stay elsewhere. Fabulous, highly recommended for budget travelers and tight old people like me.

Staff in the reception are extremely kind and helpful .location is perfect, everything nearby walks .I recommend book scuba diving wirh Madeira divepoint .restaurants nearby very cheap and great foods. We would stay here again

Only we got 1 soap and shower gel with my son. Usually each per person. When I asked cleaning ladies because we are 2 people in 1 room, they can't understand, I think, because they said enough 1 for 2 of us 😅so I brought ourselves

Staff at the reception - very friendly and helpful, fast check-in and check-out Double Room - good size, clean room, clean bathroom Good location - everything is close (on foot - 100m Decathlon, 350m supermarket, 100m Pastry shop NATA 7, 400m SAM bus stop to airport) We were really satisfied.

There is nothing to complain about.

It is centrally located in Funchal. Direct access to all major places. I even had to leave a bag for few days, and the receptionist was more than kind to accomodate. When I returned, I was early to check in, but they had the room ready with a big smile. They also speak very good english. The rooms are really close, and might take you a while to sleep if you are not used to small noises. But overall - considering that the location is central, it's a trade off.

Bathroom

Stayed my first and last night on Madeira here. Last night I got the cutest little room in the nook of the building, upstairs from the breakfast room. Lovely views from every window, such a cute little setup that I didn't even mind bending over being too tall for the shower. Location couldn't be better being central in Funchal town surrounded with restaurants. Would come back to arrive/leave again.

Sleeping upstairs from the breakfast room meant being awakened by the breakfast staff and their preparations/chatting. My other night in a different room obviously didn't have that problem, only the bell tower (that doesn't ring during the night!!)

Location is just perfect ! Just in the middle of Funchal, close to everything around - shops, mall, promenade, restaurants, coffeehouses and main attractions of Funchal. Room were cosy and spare, we have a view on the street. Reception is 24/7 open so it’s soooo easy to get there in any time of the day and night.

Room was a little bit old and furnitures were from couple decades ago but it was comfortable and clean stay

The hotel is located in the heart of the Old Town, very close to all the main attractions and lovely architecture. The WiFi was working well. Cleaning was good. The staff was friendly.

My window was in front of a building that was being renovated so it was quite noisy and when the window was open, the workers tried to peek inside my room which was quite unsettling. There was in general quite a lot of noise in the hotel, even early in the morning and late at night. A fan or AC would be nice given the temperatures. The room should be slightly renovated, cracks in the walls let thelittle insects come in

Excellent location: The hotel is situated in an incredibly convenient spot, making it easy to access many cool places and attractions. 24-hour reception: There's always someone at the reception, which is awesome, especially when you arrive or depart in the wee hours. Elevator: The hotel having an elevator is a big plus, especially if you've got lots of luggage or aren't in the best physical shape. Friendly staff: If the hotel staff greets you with a smile and is always ready to help, it creates a really pleasant atmosphere. Daily room cleaning: Regular cleaning is super; it helps maintain comfort and cleanliness in the room. Leave your stuff: The option to leave your belongings in the hotel is very convenient, especially if you want to explore the area before check-in or after check-out. Great for bikers: For motorcycle enthusiasts, this hotel is fantastic. Because near hotel is free municipal parking.

No air conditioning: This is especially important in hot summers, but unfortunately, there's no air conditioning here. Limited power outlets: There are a limited number of outlets in the room (only two), which can be inconvenient if you have lots of gadgets that need charging.

Very clean property, very friendly and helpful staff and a very good system so that you don’t lose your keys. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. I was barely in it to be honest so for active travellers it’s a great place to stay!

It can get a bit noisy at night as sounds will echo through the halls. I’m not use to hard beds so it was uncomfortable for the first two nights but after it was ok.
