My wife and I stayed here for 9 nights. The location was excellent with easy access to restaurants and bars, and the harbour was just a two munite walk away. A 20 to 30 minute walk would take you to the centre of town, old town, and cable car station. All areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean and had a modern feel. Every member of staff was pleasant, engaging and could not do enough to ensure our stay was trouble free and pleasureable. Breakfast was largely continental, but with some hot options - usually eggs with a vegetable choice and a meat choice, such as sausage or bacon. In summary, the hotel was well placed, clean, with excellent staff and represented very good value for me. We would stay here again.

We felt that the hot choices at breakfast were sometimes slow to be replenished.

Great hotel a short walk from the main centre of Funchal. Very clean, welcoming and friendly and helpful staff. Staff provided recommendations of activities, bars and restaurants which were spot on! Staff were happy to help us booking airport transfers. We hired a car and were lucky to park outside the hotel doors. The rooms are lovely, modern and spacious. Bathroom has everything you need and lovely and modern. Rooms were cleaned daily and able to change towels when needed. Hotel has a small pool but we didn’t use this as our day were spent exploring the island.

Personal preference but I found the bed too hard….my partner didn’t mind it (just a personal preference). Additionally, breakfast lacks excitement. Again, there are yogurts, toast, fresh fruit, cheeses and meats and cereals. As well as basic hot breakfast (egg, beans and sausage). Just seemed very basic, but as a meal to start the day before getting out to explore the island it did the job. A very small critique of a great hotel!

A really nice Hotel with a great location. The staff was always smiling and helpful. They also gave us an iron and wine opener by a request. Cleaning every day. Really nice small pool at the hotel was refreshing after the hot day in Madeira. Would definitely recommend this place. P.S. As it was our honeymoon, the hotel decorated our room, which was nice.

Wi-fi could be better, as the connection was only in the lobby or at the pool. As for the 4 star hotel variety of the breakfast could be better. A small shelf in the shower cabin could really be appreciated by woman.

Excellent location for walking everywhere. A couple of minutes to walk down to the road running along the Marina, all the way to the Old Town. A couple of minutes to walk to one of the main roads into / out of town with many bus stops. Plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. The room (302) was spacious and spotless, with a lovely balcony and side Seaview. Tea/coffee/kettle and mini fridge. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows just right for me. Beautiful swimming pool with a good number of pool loungers. The pool wasn't busy. Towels are available from Reception FOC. Bar is available all day. We didn't have any "bar food" but apparently you can order Toasted sandwiches. Breakfast was sufficient for us with the "hot options" different each day. The area can be lively as the Hotel is so close to Town but it doesn't affect your sleep. All rooms face away from the side road. There are only 18 rooms so it's never hectic. All of the Staff were amazing!! Thank You.

Nothing to Not like, except that our Holiday had to end!

Fantastic location, staff are very friendly and helpful Had a small bar in it if you wanted a drink and breakfast was a buffet and was nice to get you going in the morning. Also has a pool which we didn’t use but look nice and clean, room was very big and comfortable with a/c, tea and coffee provided too (but no milk)

The hotel had a small bar which was nice and well stocked but it didn’t have the vibe you could sit and relax with a drink - we bought them to take to our room and have while we got ready to go out, it’s more of a get up and go hotel which was really good for us but if people wanted to relax at night with a drink it didn’t seem like we could do that there Also, no milk provided for tea and coffee in the room

The hotel has 18 rooms, all facing the same side of the building, opposite the street, thus there is no noise from outside. The rooms are quite big (we had a double room), the breakfast is fair (rather limited choices, but you can find eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruits, cake, yogurt), there is a small swimming pool with few sunbeds. There is kettle with tea and coffee in the room.

Breakfast coffee is not great. The air-conditioning was sometimes difficult to turn on (the on-off button had to be pressed very long time before turning on).

Excellent location, close to the Marina and Old Town, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Our room (102) was spacious and spotless, with a large balcony and side Seaview. There was also a really nice swimming pool which, unfortunately, we did not get to use due to the weather. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, especially Carolina, who helped us choose walks and tours.

Breakfast could be improved on.

Extremely clean hotel. The location was quite good, 15 min walk to city centre. Breakfast good enough, nothing special, but was OK to start the morining. Temperature in the room always perfect. The private park they have is too small, one car is enough, and cost 5€ per day. But if your smart, you always find a park outside, and from 8 pm to 8 am it's free. So I was used to leave at 8am and come back at 8 pm. For activities in Madeira. Sometimes I staied longer and paid 1€/2€ to keep the car until 9/10 outside. Casinò is close but not a good place to go, but try it.

Everything was OK.

- Location was perfect within walking distance of all major attractions. - Staff were all really nice, friendly and accommodating. -the size of the room was very big! -good value for money when considering other similar hotels.

-the bed wasn't the most comfortable. -street parking is available but the hotel only has very limited parking spaces that you can rent -breakfast can be better for a 4 star hotel, the coffee we found was very bad.

Hotel was great with rooms same as in photos shown, very clean. Staff was friendly and answered every question. I even had the option to reserve a parking spot at their garage for 5 EUR/day which was nice. Not that far from city center / old town. We walked by foot every evening, it was a relaxing walk by the side of the ocean. The breakfast was good, kind like continental style, but with a lot of fruits, which was great. So I would really recommend this hotel!
