The view from the apartment was wonderful, especially to watch the sunset on the balcony. The quality of the meals and view from the Golf Course restaurant was amazing!

The resort felt dated, the gym was tiny and a long way away from the accommodation which was disappointing- the pool here was dry. The games room was old too. The apartment was a good size but there was no tea or coffee or washing sachets provided or shampoo etc which for accommodation of this price you would expect. The maids turned up unexpectedly 3 days into our stay to clean our room.

Personnel helpful before our arrival. Wonderful attention to lush greenery, gardens were amazing. Apartment very well equipped (dishwasher, waching machine, cooking equipment, fair amount of plates, cutlery, etc.). Rooms spacious, clean, comfy. Curtains kept the light out very well even in late mornings. Nicely warm water in swimming pool (kids and adults loved it). Fabulous sea views from the apartment and the terraces. Parking right next to the apartment.

We did not know that the every day cleaning is not part of the accommodation in Palheiro Village. After 3-4 days we found our beds done. Next days no cleaning performed, no clean towels, hence we asked the reception. Receptionist mentioned he would send someone. When no one arrived I got the information that cleaning was included once in 7 days. The cleaning lady said they were obliged to tidy each 3 days. Anyways, we kept our rooms clean but I cannot imagine this non-systematic cleaning for a family with small children. The bar at swimming pool was never open. We asked the reception for golf trainings. The trainer was supposed to call us back which has never happened. If you travel to Madeira for the first time, don't expect to get any tips of what to see/do from the hotel staff.

Lovely property, very spacious with a wonderful view from the balcony. Beautifully appointed with everything we needed. Very comfortable.

We didn't really make use of the facilities. Check in was not clearly explained - directions said to check in at the golf club house but this was not correct and we had to find the village office - would recommend improving the instructions to guests. Clicker for the gate frequently didn't work and had to be changed twice!

Palheiro Village is a gated vacation home area with stunning views of Funchal Bay. For anyone visiting Madeira, it's critical to rent a car and PV is extremely convenient and accommodating in this regard also.

Instructions on how to access and check-in could be a little clearer perhaps.

Luxury private property (from Blandy’s family) providing everything one might need for a luxurious stay. We’ve stayed in building 6, apt 30, so we were the closest to both main road with busses as the pool. Beautiful classy 2-bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment. I enjoyed waking up and having breakfast on the terrace enjoying the sea view. Towels were changed once during the week stay. Kitchen is fully equipped. Very nice gesture of welcome bottle of Madeira and honey cake.

The cons is that they could leave the essentials from previous guests like salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, coffee, tea. There is literally nothing except for kitchenware, so you’ll have to buy everything. It can also be a bit noisy from the main road, especially if you prefer sleeping with an open window. And you’ll by all means need a car. It’s far from Funchal. Calling Bolt or taxi here can be a challenge- waiting time up to 40min. It’s easier to get from the city back. Cost 15-18€ and 15-20min. There is a bus though.

Lovely location; beautiful homes and so spacious and comfortable.

Wish there were oil and basic seasonings (salt and pepper) in the kitchen but the grocery store is very close by so was not a big problem at all!

The reception didn't mention that for access of the grounds, we need the appartment number, which they didn't provide in the contact message before arival, they didn't mention that the restaurant is as far as 3km up a steep hill and we need to book a shuttle, it wasn't mentioned during the booking of breakfast, needed to be specifically asked for with another phone call

Everything is fantastic! The view, the houses, the land, the pool that was heated and was working nonstop. The apartment was equipped with everything you could ever need, the beds were comfortable, we even had our own terrace with an ocean view. Superb! I would for sure come again!

There were ants and mosquitoes. There was no salt or sugar.

The View was great. The Pool was Great. The Staff were terrific. The Food in the clubhouse was delicious. The Bar staff were great fun. The customer service was exceptional. They even had an on-site free courtesy bus.

The road noise on our balcony was quite loud and there was no sun on our balcony, due to the orientation of the apartment, which was a pity.

Whilst our apartment was great we didn't have a good view of Funchal which was a bit disappointing. The location is a few kms out of Funchal. As we didn't have a car, we were reliant on buses and taxis which was time consuming and an added cost and inconvenience. If you have a car - no problem.
