The property was located in the centre of Funchal. The accommodation was set out like an apartment so we had a separate lounge/kitchen/diner together with a bedroom and bathroom. The hotel had laundry facilities for guests as well as a wonderful restaurant and a rooftop bar with swimming pool. The latter offered wonderful views over the city. There was also a gym. Whilst the hotel facilities are wonderful, it was the staff who made our stay exceptional. Without exception the staff were warm, friendly, courteous and capable. In particular, Sid’s advice ensured that we saw the best of Funchal, ate at some wonderful restaurants and went on some fantastic trips.

We stayed for a week at the hotel and loved it.

I was tempted not to leave a review because I don’t want other people to find out about this place and make it harder for me to book next year. However, given all the thought, effort and intention that has gone into this place, I had to. Everything is perfect - from the warm greeting at check in to the full sensory design to the immaculate rooms to the spectacular rooftop, it is patently obvious how committed the team are to making your experience as good as possible and creating a home away from home. I can’t wait to come back next year.

The apartment had everything we needed, clean and spacious. The rooftop pool was a real luxury and felt very private as we were the only ones using it most mornings. It does say it is heated but we were not convinced, absolutely fine if you don't mind cold water swimming. We would definitely stay again and very much recommend to others.

It should be noted this apartment is centrally located and feels more like a city break hotel than a beach resort hotel. With the windows open it can be quite noisy at all times of the day. But fine with the windows closed. No other complaints.

What an absolute pleasure it was staying at threehouse. The staff were absolutely incredible. We stayed for 12 nights , and I was at first worried that the space would be too small. In fact, not at all. The room was impeccably cleaned every day. The shower amazing and smeg appliances gave it a real luxury touch. The location is right in old town and perfe t and 2 mins walk to pingo dolce and continente modelo This is our second d stay here, and this time, we used the bar upstairs. This was magical. The mixologists made incredible drinks, and the staff made the efforts to make sure residents had priority. Thank you, and we look forward to returning. Thankyou M

From the moment I arrived, I felt like royalty. Margarida from reception, went above and beyond after I checked in. She showed me everything in my room, followed by all the facilities the hotel has and the rooftop bar. Every single staff member throughout the stay treated me like I was family, it was a wonderful experience. I did have an injury whilst I stayed there which was unfortunate, but every staff member assisted me and went above and beyond to make sure I was ok. Thank you to everyone at Three House for making this stay one of the best I’ve ever had. I’ll be back there for sure.

Great location in the centre of Funchal. Friendly staff, rooms were fantastic (great size, really clean). Coffee and tea in the room was nice. Lovely pool on the rooftop. Comfortable. Felt safe as a solo traveller.

Of note: right on the main road and surprisingly loud with road noise even when windows closed (earplugs are supplied or bring your own). There was a club night on the Saturday (which the hotel messaged about in advance and offered a complimentary drink for) - but worth being aware of as this was really loud with base until it finished at 2am.

Lovely apartment room in the heart of the city, minutes away from the shops and restaurants of the main town and the old town. Plenty of space, good WiFi, excellent host who couldn’t do more to help us, over and above our expectations. Fresh croissants left outside the room every morning, free tea and coffee daily. Also free filtered water available anytime and other drinks available to purchase in the large refrigerator. A beautiful roof top bar with breathtaking panoramic views of Funchal city.

Our apartment room was on the busy road side of the hotel and although there is good soundproofing, it was a bit noisy during the day. The road was almost deserted and quiet at night though. Personally we would have benefited from a microwave oven.

The room is nice and spacious. Very well equipped. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The blinds worked well to protect our precious sleep on a holiday. The restaurant and the rooftop bar are excellent - superb food, atmosphere and best coffee we had on the island! Free parking (very tight) worked perfectly for us. The coffee machine in the room with a milk foamer is a plus that you don’t often see in a hotel.

The windows were super dirty from the outside it was hard to see anything outside. The hotel is in a multifunction facility with offices on other floors which gives a hotel a disjointed office vibe. The reception staff were slightly intimidating at both check in and check out (different people) - guys we are on a holiday please relax. The working times of the bar and restaurant are not transparent and its different everyday so its hard to know when and where to go. Morning croissants were not good everyday.

Absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment I booked, the service was exceptional. The team's warm hospitality shone through, and their 24/7 WhatsApp availability was a game-changer! Any question, any time, they were there with a friendly and helpful response. The room was stunning. It was the perfect combination of a beautiful hotel room with the comfort and convenience of a fully equipped apartment. Everything felt brand new, meticulously clean, and beautifully designed, and having a kitchen and all the necessary appliances was a huge plus! It truly felt like a home away from home. The location is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, everything was within easy reach. In addition, the hotel staff went above and beyond to suggest hidden gems and must-see spots around the island, tailoring the advice to my interests. I can't recommend this place highly enough! If you're looking for exceptional service, beautiful accommodations that feel like a comfortable apartment, a prime location, look no further. You won't be disappointed!

We liked our apartment very much. It was nicely decorated, and the kitchen had everything, including a juice maker and a blender. It was great to have a laundry machine (they also give us laundry detergent), which was located near the elevator along with the water machine. A big grocery store is on the other side of the street, so we enjoyed trying fresh fruits and seafood. Kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and doing table tennis on the rooftop. All the staff were friendly. They had a special carnival party with some music and outdoor bbq on the rooftop bar during our stay. We got free drinks (non alcohol for kids, of course), and we enjoyed the local festivity:)
