Superb breakfast, amazing saunas included a few meters away

Spa is old and not enjoyable, there was a lot of ants in our room so we had to move to another.

The rooms were very clean and tidy. The location of the hotel was good it was directly on the water. It did not feel too busy and you always got a table at the bar or restaurant if you wanted. We enjoyed the range of activities available. It was one of our birthdays and they gave us a drink with breakfast to celebrate which was very nice.

Whilst the hotel was great being right next to the sea and the airport, getting to the main town was a bit tricky there were not many taxi’s and then the hotel taxis were very expensive for a 10 minute journey. The staff were mainly helpful but at times seemed rushed. Serving times were also very long.

Everything was just perfect. If coming back to Madeira, surely will come back to this hotel! On breakfast you could have whatever you desire. Mixed eggs, fresh fruits, salats, sweet pastry, pancakes, musli and yoghurt - just love it here! It was possible to sit outside but also inside in the restaurant. The room was very modern and nice. I really appreciate the bin divided in three parts - separation of plastic, paper and general waste. The beds were comfy. From the balcony we had an amazing view into garden with the ocean in the end.

The number of hotel parking places (parking for free) is limited. It seemed to be problem just when we came to the hotel the first day, because we didn´t really know where to park. But there is a payed parking just next to the hotel zone (between main building and the beside building with the rooms). The parking fee was not so high and it was possible to pay by credit card (what we really appreciate). It is possible to park also all along the street in front of hotel, but there you can pay parking fee only in cash (machines don´t accept credit cards).

Nice hotel with a beautiful location, with cool access to the water (natural platform on the rocks with a pool of seawater, with descents into the ocean) with the help of an elevator. The water was clear, warm and beautifully colored, there are a lot of beautiful fish swimming nearby (I advise you to have your own snorkeling gear, you can also rent nearby) and a lot of crabs crawling on the rocks. There is a restaurant and a bar overlooking the ocean. Good breakfast, buffet type. Very nice staff. We had a spacious room with a terrace and ocean view. Good internet. There is a free and paid parking lot nearby, very often filled with people coming from outside the hotel. There are small supermarkets and delicious restaurants within walking distance.

There was no free water in the room. In our room, the water in the shower did not drain well into the drains, so it was standing in the whole bathroom. In the evening, large "bugs" were climbing on the terrace from the grass, it was unpleasant, the door to the terrace had to be kept always closed.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the spa with the sauna was excellent and we loved that we could use the spa of sentido galomar (the hotel beside uss) as well. The breakfast was soooo delicious and there was a hughe buffet with fresh smoothies, fruits and everything you need. You also had vegan options as soja jogurt. To the parking situation: we always had a parking slot. And it didn't bother us to pay 40 cent/hour for the parking. That is so cheap and you have the slots right in front of your hotel room.

Generous sized room with nice decor, very clean and comfortable. Pool area is lovely with beautiful views of the sea and very peaceful, we made use of the Galo Mar spa during our stay which was also a great bonus A few restaurants and shops around the area. Lots of choice at breakfast buffet if you aren't vegan like ourselves but overall we loved our stay.

My partner and I are vegan and felt there wasn't a huge amount for us at breakfast, after a long day hiking we also just wanted to stay in the hotel one evening for food but there was no vegan option on room service and the restaurant buffet was limited so we ended up getting a food delivery to the hotel instead. Some extra toiletries in the room would've been a nice touch given it is a four star hotel.

Amazing hotel & staff! They organised a nice surprise for us - we were celebrating 15th wedding anniversary! The hotel & rooms are exceptionally clean, the staff was amazing - they were very attentive to every request (lunch box, taxi etc) and were happy to help me to practice Portuguese with me:) The view from the room was amazing! Thanks a lot!

Not many parking places The facilities are in different buildings

- the breakfast was really, really good. I didn‘t expect it to be so good. Yes it is a buffet, but really everything you would want in a good quality, and also clean. Really to enjoy. - breakfast was possible on the terasse, which was beautiful. - nice location, very near to the sea. Also, Canico is a good place to be, if you don‘t need or want Funchal. To Funchal it‘s 10-15 min. by car. - convenient pool and also access to the sea unteneath the hotel - clean - the room was probably a bit bigger than average - very nice staff, everybody is kind - all in all, a good decision and I would recommend to everybody, if you don‘t want to stay in Funchal

- the Parking situation is really not good to be honest. There are blue zones around the hotel, but you need go pay. It‘s not about paying, but you can‘t find any. Sometimes we had to park a bit far away. I would expect such a large hotel to provide some kind of parking. On Madeira, the most visitors are getting a car to get around the island. Be careful in the blue zones! Already after half an hour, you could receive a ticket if you don‘t pay!

Very nice hotel, quiet and in a beautiful location. Great facilities (Gym/swimming pool) and fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice (including for vegetarians).
