Everything was great, from 3 different pools available to breakfast. The staff was friendly and the rooms were cleaned top-notch always. The location is great and really calm and you can reach anywhere on the island with car or public transportation. Breakfast selection was mostly the same with few variables changing during our week stay, but there were a lot of selections so it was good. If you are looking to attend restaraunt nearby, go for the Pizzeria right at the hotel as it is lovely place to.

Sometimes you had to wait for parking spaces to open by the hotel for 10-15min, but during our week stay it happened only 2 times. The parking is paid during the day, but 5 hours costs approximately 2 EUR so it won't put a dent in your pocket.

Spa is old and not enjoyable, there was a lot of ants in our room so we had to move to another.

Almost everything about the hotel was excellent – truly outstanding value for money. The sea view was breathtaking, the room was spacious with a separate living area and a balcony, and the facilities were fantastic: ocean-view saunas, live music at the pub, great restaurants, a well-equipped gym, and fitness classes. I honestly didn’t want to leave!

The only real disappointment was the coffee. For a hotel of this level, it was surprising to find such low-quality coffee machines serving tasteless coffee. Please, invest in a couple of good-quality machines – it’s a small upgrade that would make a huge difference to the overall experience.

This is a very good hotel with some really nice facilities. The pool area is very nice with lots of comfortable sofas and nice basket like seats to relax in - breakfasts are very good too. The location is nice and the views from the room and indeed the pool area are very good - great views of kestrels flying around and resting in the trees too!!

The sunbeds are not the most comfortable ones though they are fine. The only slight negative was it seemed to be an issue when we asked for a couple of glasses of ice to take to the room so we could have cold water for the night - the bar seemed to be shut by 10.30pm and the hotel member of staff seemed to think it was a bit beyond him to help with this request albeit he did assist us in the end. Maybe just pput an ice machine on each floor and that would resolve these issues and help guests too

The rooms were very clean and tidy. The location of the hotel was good it was directly on the water. It did not feel too busy and you always got a table at the bar or restaurant if you wanted. We enjoyed the range of activities available. It was one of our birthdays and they gave us a drink with breakfast to celebrate which was very nice.

Whilst the hotel was great being right next to the sea and the airport, getting to the main town was a bit tricky there were not many taxi’s and then the hotel taxis were very expensive for a 10 minute journey. The staff were mainly helpful but at times seemed rushed. Serving times were also very long.

We were upgraded to a suite which had a sitting area and a super large bedroom. There was also a number of exercise equipment in the room plus a stationary bike, this was all a nice surprise. The bed was kingsize and very comfortable. The shower was walkin. The facilities (swimming pool and beach access at the sister hotel next door) were great. We had drinks a couple times at the hotel bar (next door) and lunch. All was good - reasonable prices given the location and the food/drinks were good, also friendly staff.

Parking is very limited. There is a parking garage but not sure who that is for. The coffee at the breakfast bar was probably some of the worse coffee I have had. It was powdered coffee that comes out of a machine, the smell alone was terrible. For such a nice place, I am sure they can afford a better coffee machine. The food also was quickly picked over if you come at a later time. The fruit selection was also not great. Overall the breakfast quality didn't match the hotel.

Everything was just perfect. If coming back to Madeira, surely will come back to this hotel! On breakfast you could have whatever you desire. Mixed eggs, fresh fruits, salats, sweet pastry, pancakes, musli and yoghurt - just love it here! It was possible to sit outside but also inside in the restaurant. The room was very modern and nice. I really appreciate the bin divided in three parts - separation of plastic, paper and general waste. The beds were comfy. From the balcony we had an amazing view into garden with the ocean in the end.

The number of hotel parking places (parking for free) is limited. It seemed to be problem just when we came to the hotel the first day, because we didn´t really know where to park. But there is a payed parking just next to the hotel zone (between main building and the beside building with the rooms). The parking fee was not so high and it was possible to pay by credit card (what we really appreciate). It is possible to park also all along the street in front of hotel, but there you can pay parking fee only in cash (machines don´t accept credit cards).

Nice hotel with a beautiful location, with cool access to the water (natural platform on the rocks with a pool of seawater, with descents into the ocean) with the help of an elevator. The water was clear, warm and beautifully colored, there are a lot of beautiful fish swimming nearby (I advise you to have your own snorkeling gear, you can also rent nearby) and a lot of crabs crawling on the rocks. There is a restaurant and a bar overlooking the ocean. Good breakfast, buffet type. Very nice staff. We had a spacious room with a terrace and ocean view. Good internet. There is a free and paid parking lot nearby, very often filled with people coming from outside the hotel. There are small supermarkets and delicious restaurants within walking distance.

There was no free water in the room. In our room, the water in the shower did not drain well into the drains, so it was standing in the whole bathroom. In the evening, large "bugs" were climbing on the terrace from the grass, it was unpleasant, the door to the terrace had to be kept always closed.

Very bad coffee, even if you order it at the bar at Galomar If you want to use the sauna/ swimming pool in Sentido Galosol, you have to make a reservation. I was told I got the last spot in the sauna but… when I entered the sauna, nobody was there, so it would be nice if they could change this system

We liked the location, Caniço is quieter than Funchal but only 15 minutes away by Uber. Sea view from our room, & lovely views from the seafood restaurant & bar. We ate twice in seafood restaurant & the food was very good. Lovely sun deck beside the sea with easy access for snorkelling.

The room lighting didn’t work properly on our first night, however I reported this in the morning & it was fixed when we returned later in the day.
