Location is amazing, only 10 minutes from Aveiro by car, and straight on the beach, with several restaurants around. Staff was very helpful and kind and indicated where to dine and have fun. Breakfast was varied and had different options on each day.

Room was not very big and view was just over buildings. Parking is free but is the street parking so up to your luck, I guess on a busier period it would have been hard to find parking.

In Nov 2023, Our drive from Sintra to Porto took us through Casas típicas de Costa Nova. Nice country drive, instead of a highway full of trucks. We had a delicious lunch in Dori restaurant in Costa Nova, took pictures of the colorful houses, then we continued our trip. We spent one night at hotel Farol. We chose this hotel instead of the commercial touristy area of Aveiro. Our room was spacious on the second floor. Had a big terrace (table and chairs) and a great view of the Farol de Aveiro lighthouse. We watched ships coming and going at the entrance of the river while drinking a glass of wine. Breakfast was plentiful and staff was friendly. We parked in front of the hotel. Free wifi was excelent Hotel Farol exceded our expectation.

Lovely quiet clean comfortable hotel with helpful friendly staff, close to beach with very good restaurants nearby. We had a room on first floor with a balcony facing the beach, really nice view. Fluffy white towels, comfortable bed and good breakfast.

I would have liked a swimming pool however we were close to the beach so it was fine.

The room was large and comfortable (we stayed in one of the larger rooms up top) and we loved the little balcony. We had great views of the town square, the lighthouse and the sea! Breakfast was hearty and good and there were plenty of options. Staff was great, super helpful and polite!

There was nothing not to like. We loved our stay. Perhaps a bigger bathtub?

Perfect place when visiting Aveiro! The bed was so comfortable, the shower was spacious, and the balcony had a beautiful view of the lighthouse. We loved this place so much that we didn't want to leave. Breakfast was excellent. There is also a cafe right by the corner of the hotel. Space was so clean and exactly what we needed. Highly recommend!

Lovely calming decor, beachfront, staff were the friendliest ever and gave us the best local tips. I was also served a gluten free breakfast as o was coeliac and they were supper attentive to that as well. Thank you!

I had a great stay at the hotel. The room was very clean, the location was perfect – close to the city center and beach. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a great location for all restaurants. There is a bus that takes you directly to Aveiro, and the beach is a short walk away. The staff at the reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It would be great to have tea or coffee making facilities in the room.

We always stop at this hotel and we have never been disappointed. Great surroundings, a comfortable room with a view of the lighthouse, good breakfast, polite service, clean and large bathroom, comfortable transport to the station.
