It was an excellent property. There was definitely a narrow spiral staircase to our room that made carrying the suitcases tough but the host was very thoughtful and had informed us about it in advance so we were prepared. The property has a beautiful garden area and our room window was overseeing that. Breakfast was fantastic and was with a great view of the city. Lilly was amazing who took out time to explain the different things that we could go in the city and made some excellent restaurant recommendations. And the hosts were very responsive & helpful. Strong recommendation from us.

What’s not to like?! Nice sized room and accommodations including shared living space and kitchen, and huge beautiful outdoor garden - which no one else used. Living area nice to curl up with a book after end of a long day before bed. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruits and juice, coffee, cereal, yogurt, or freshly prepped eggs, bacon. All served on a rooftop patio, yes - that means a climb! Well worth it. Great location. Walkable to marinate, riverwalk, inn the middle of old town. Close to excellent restaurant choices. Loved our hostess Lillia and Maria as well. Lillia made us feel like friends, not just guests. She even parked our car on the narrow and steep street by the hotel, above and beyond!! Wonderful experience. We had a private bathroom just across the hallway. Not an issue for us at all.

Absolutely wonderful owner, Maria, and her manager. Nicely renovated modern residence with beautifully landscaped backyard area. We had the room on the second floor looking out onto the landscaped courtyard. Maria warns you in advance of the narrow spiral staircase to the second-floor room. We managed to lift our luggage up the stair, but it's not recommended for everyone. Large (US king size) bed, on the firm side, but ok. Small but adequate size room and bathroom with a walk-in shower. The room and bathroom were clean. The AC worked well. Located on the top of a very steep narrow street. Limited parking spaces on the street, we were fortunate to find one close by, or a parking lot close by. An absolutely fantastic breakfast on a roof-top dining area. Excellent selection of quality items, Maria will make eggs to order for you.

There is no TV in the room, I never looked, but I assume there was one in the common living area on the first floor, not a big deal to be concerned with.

Great location with easy access to everything in Lagos, but still in a quiet area. The Garden House has only three guest rooms with a shared living room, kitchen and garden are. The garden is super peaceful and a great place to just sit and relax. Guests of the Garden House also have access to the Guest House across the street, which has the rooftop terrace where breakfast is served every morning from 8:30 to 10:30 by the owners. The rooftop space has amazing views over the city. Breakfast was also excellent, with many options (eggs, bacon, yogurt, cheese, meats, cake, fruits, bread, etc.). Owners are very friendly and go through a map of the city with you when you arrive. Bedroom was comfortable and clean.

This was mainly my fault due to train delays and miscommunication, but make sure the owners know your check-in time. This will make sure you are not stuck waiting outside the building on arrival. The keys to the room and buildings were simple to understand, but the bedroom with an external private bathroom needs both rooms to be locked with a key from the outside and inside, which could get annoying (and loud) at night.

Staff were super helpful and friendly. Special mention for Lilia who was wonderful. Lovely simple breakfast. Loved the very well equiped kitchen where I was able to cook myself some wholesome dinners with ease. Very nice outdoor area where I chilled in the morning with a nice espresso from the Nespresso machine in the kitchen and a snack. 2-3 minutes from central Lagos and from a very good supermarket .

Some difficulty getting my heavy suitcase up and down the spiral stairs to my room but who cares !

Check-in was easy and Lilliana was a wonderful hostess for our stay. She welcomed us with so much information about things to see while in Lagos. We loved the breakfast and especially enjoyed taking a break from sightseeing in the backyard garden. The room had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable.

The spiral stairs to our room were quite narrow and would have been a problem if we had bigger luggage. Also, the door to our room was difficult to open because it dragged on the floor.

I really enjoyed my stay at 3 Marias! The staff were incredibly nice and helpful! I was a solo traveller so really appreciated how kind Maria was to me. On my arrival, I sat down with Maria and she gave me a map of the city and recommended several restaurants, sights, and activities for me to do on my trip. The breakfast provided was great, plenty of options. The location was fantastic! Right in the middle of town, within walking distance of several beaches, attractions, and the bus stop. I would stay here again!

The home is located perfectly in Lagos- close enough to walk to anything you want to do, and far enough from the noise. The room with bathroom en-suite was lovely; immaculately clean, like the entire beautiful property, with access to the comfortable living room, kitchen, garden (one of the most beautiful and well-kept I’ve seen!), and patio for breakfast with gorgeous views of the city. Both Lilia and Maria met us, showed us on a city map all the places to see and experience and where to find fine dining. They partner with high quality tourist companies who deliver excellent experiences, such as Kayak Tours, which offers a kayaking adventure that was a bucket list check for sure! The breakfast in the morning was delicious and nutritious and shared with love by our hosts. We could not have asked for a better experience. Obrigado to Maria and Lilia! Lilia is so friendly and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the property and things to do in the area. Tucked away in the Old Town on a quiet street but very close to everything in Lagos. You have access to both the houses and outdoor spaces as they are right across the street from each other. The breakfast on the roof exceeded our expectations. Very homey feeling but each room is still completely private. Definitely recommend if you’re staying in Lagos!

The hosts were super friendly and helpful and gave us a guided tour of the property when we arrived. We were in the garden rooms and enjoyed the kitchen and gardens. The breakfast in the morning on the rooftop Terrace was wonderful with personal attention from the staff and amazing scrambled egg with bacon. In addition to a buffet selection of lovely fruit and muesli. What more could you ask for? The view from the Terrace was lovely too. Thank you.
