A lovely apartment-hotel, in a great location! The staff are friendly, the apartments are very spacious, have stunning views over the pool, and the beds were very comfortable too. The pool is even bigger than the photos! It gets all day sunshine so a great place to lounge in the sun. It’s a short walk to the beach and the centre of the old town. Would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our holiday here as a family of four and stayed for a week. The location couldn't have been better, almost in the old town really with views from our roof terrace over it and to the beaches. We live on a hill so the short walk back home each night didn't bother us and I think the views make it all worthwhile - and it's nice and quiet. The pool was beautiful, never crowded with bed always available even if we weren't there first thing or even in the middle of the day. Yes a few tiles missing here and there but the terracotta tiles were non slip and looked so authentic with the lovely old wall covered in foliage. The cleaners came every other day which was well enough for us, and they didn't come early. I wouldn't say the furniture was tired in the villa - eclectic maybe but we enjoyed the fact it wasn't all completely modernised, we found extra storage in the bathroom which was good, as the 3 small drawers in the bedroom weren't enough for a family of 4. There were a couple of really small issues which were dealt with straight away by reception. The villa is split over 3 floors which we loved, we had lots of room. Overall, an excellent hotel, we will be back.

Our flight came in early and we couldn't check in until 3pm which we knew. However reception closes between 12-2 so we wouldn't have been able to get in and leave our bags had we not got in while someone else was coming out. We left our bags by reception anyway hoping it was ok, and wandered into town for ice cream, so it wasn't a problem but would have been nice if someone was there to greet and put bags aside.

My partner and I (both in our early 20s) stayed here for a week and it genuinely exceeded our expectations. The property is spotless, well maintained, and ideally located, just a 10-minute walk from everything you might need. The reception staff were friendly and accommodating, and they kindly let us store our luggage on the last day so we could make the most of our time exploring before our flight. We stayed in a studio room which was much more spacious than it looked online. The shower had excellent water pressure and the bed was absolutely massive and very comfortable. Housekeeping came almost every day, changing our towels and bedsheets, and even doing our dishes, which was a lovely and unexpected touch. The pool area is beautifully kept. Although the water was a bit chilly in early May, the sun loungers got sunlight until 7pm. They were padded and extremely comfortable, perfect for relaxing. We felt completely at ease during our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return if we ever come back to Lagos. If you’re unsure about booking, take this as your sign. You won’t regret it!

Just a heads-up if you're tall, my partner is 6ft 2 and managed to whack his head on the low-hanging kitchen lights in our room more than once! Not really a complaint, more of a gentle warning to tall folk 😂

the room was exactly as described when booking. the location was at maximum a 10 minute walk away from the main city centre and had a spar shop just 5 minutes walk away as well. the reception ladies were so lovely and helpful especially when i accidentally locked myself out of my room. the cleanliness of the room was 10/10 and the bed was very comfy. good amenities if you wanted to cook but also plenty of eating out options in the city too.

the pool wasn't very clean but expected as it wasn't quite peak season or the weather to swim but we had a few nice days which would have been improved with a cleaner pool. upon arrival the bathroom was immaculate but as our week went on there was a weird smell coming from the toilet or maybe drains in the bathroom and with no window to open, wasn't pleasant but overall not a massive issue.

Room 201 was a lovely room, fab size and super roof top balcony. The bed was super comfortable. Great location, 5 mins walk from a great food spa. 5 mins walk to the centre of the shops and restaurants. Central Pandaria “bakery” just 5 mins away also which is great value and great coffee / breakfast shop 3 doors down on the corner which smart contemporary and always busy .

My husband and I stayed at Baluarte da Vila Apartments for three nights. The most amazing feature of this accommodation, other than the warm, helpful staff, are the views. Absolutely amazing! Our studio room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The shower is large.We never watched TV, but there is one in the room, along with a small kitchenette. The location of Baluarte da Vila is key! Walk down narrow cobblestone roads to many restaurants and shops. Walk up, beyond the fire station, for additional splendid views of the river, boardwalk to the lighthouse, and the Atlantic Ocean. The accommodations are not new, but they are wonderful. And reasonably priced! I highly recommend!

The only small inconvenience was no shelf in the shower. If you have a difficult time bending down to grab soap, shampoo, etc, this might be an issue.

Pool access was fabulous. It was amazing having somewhere to relax and cool off after exploring around Lagos. The room was a perfect size for our 4 night stay.

Such a refreshing, peaceful light space, with a usable kitchenette which was important to us. The little balcony (ground level) was towards the pool, so having been here off season, it was super quiet and idyllic to look past the pool to the sea. Probably less privacy in this specific room if there are lots of people by the pool. For us in early March, it was perfect!

The bathroom ventilation isn't great so it stays steamed up for a bit, and the curtains let some light through, but this is 'complaining' on a high level, the space was excellent overall!! Very quiet and peaceful in early March.

The property is in a great location, just minutes to walk down to the historic center shops, restaurants, cafes, marina, etc. Also easy access to the nearby beaches and to the boardwalk above the cliffs. The apartment itself was very good. Its a three level layout with a ground floor space with a sitting area, table and kitchenette. Bed and bath on the middle level, and the two sided terrace with sweeping views. Pool area was a nice reprieve to relax after a day out walking, sightseeing, sailing or at the beach.

Great location in the old town. Lovely apartment with amazing roof top view of Lagos and the sea. Pool was great and cleanliness spot on.

Air conditioning units were ok in medium heat but not very good for 30degrees and above. Location was very good but up a steep hill back from the centre of the old town…however after a couple of days used the taxi rank in the old town (always plenty of taxis day and night) for the 2 minute ride (€4) back to the apartment.
