Hosts Ana and Luis are very welcoming and are eager to share local knowledge and sites to see. The room is comfortable and the outdoor patio was very useful for reading and chatting. The breakfast of fruit, yogurt, pastries, eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice is exceptional. Even warm pastel de Nata tarts are served, fabulous! Highly recommend a stay at Casa Luma!

The shower in our room is interesting as you pass through it to access the washroom. With a floor towel on either side you can keep from tracking water through the rooms. Otherwise the shower is delightful with great pressure and temperature.

Every morning, Ana welcomes all her guests with a warm greeting smile and a healthy breakfast. As she prepares the meal, music plays softly in the background—her favorite tunes setting the perfect tone for the day. The comforting aromas from the kitchen and the gentle rhythm of the songs make each morning feel special. She made us feel right at home, enjoy breakfast.

The only small suggestion would be to add a touch of aroma in the bathroom to keep it feeling as fresh as the rest of the home.

We stayed there for our wedding in Portugal for five days, and we absolutely loved it. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and featured traditional Portuguese cuisine. The location was fantastic, close to many interesting attractions, great restaurants, and beaches. But the highlight of Casa Luma is definitely the people who take care of it. Ana and Luis are exceptional hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Lena and the housekeeping team also did a wonderful job; our room was always spotless. We are incredibly grateful to have spent our wedding and holiday in such a remarkable place. Thanks to the staff, the hostel is filled with joy and hospitality. If you want a wonderful stay in Lagos, you should definitely choose Casa Luma! ❤️❤️

This was a beautiful little B&B run by the kindest couple that really makes you feel taken care of during your stay. I was a solo female traveler and they were so helpful to me when I arrived and I felt so welcome walking into the unit. I arrived later in the evening and they had left me a beautiful note with some snacks and clear and easy directions of how to get to my room. They came to check on me to make sure I was okay and I just thought everything was so thoughtful and felt safe and welcomed. I wasn't able to make it to the breakfast but I'm sure it was delish and the little kitchenette and patio area where it is served looked beautiful. The location is very central and close to many great restaurants and bars in the area and I really loved my stay here. I would pick this over a hotel any day and I think Luis and Ana are the sweetest couple to run a place like this.

The location is fantastic. The heart of old town in just a 3 minute walk, lots of restaurants near by. The start of the Ponta de Piadade is also a 15-20 minute walk from the place. Casa Luma is essentially a one big cosy villa of two floors with few rooms at a reasonable distance from each other to ensure privacy. The rooms are cosy and comfortable. Special mention to the hosts and the entire family, who have been so warm, welcoming and supporting. Special Bonus: 1. Mini Croissants right at the entrance for a quick snack, all the time. 2. They already handed me detailed itinerary of all the things I can do in and around lagos before I even checked in which was a so nice and helpful.

No elevator in the house, so carrying luggage could be challenging.

We really enjoyed our little stay here. Ana, the owner, greeted us with a lovely smile every morning and it was lovely chatting to her as she made us our coffees. Breakfast was plentiful and yummy! The location was perfect, the room was lovely and clean, and I would have no hesitation staying here again. It's clear Ana and her family have put a lot of love into this place.

Only a small thing and I'm sure this will not affect anyone else, and this is something that was out of the owner's control as they were not in attendance at the time. But one day, there was a lot of shouting, it sounded like an argument but hard to know as I don't understand the language. It may even have been another guest. I'm hoping it wasn't Ana's staff. It was just very unexpected!

Everything about this place is splendid! The guest house itself has a lovely cosy home vibe and my room was comfortable and impeccably clean. The location worked out well considering it was my first solo travel to Portugal. Everything is close by. Ana sent through some ideas for activities and restaurant reccs which turned out to be amazing. Honestly I’d come back to stay here for Ana and her family’s hospitality. It really felt like home away from home. Also the front door has good security and it’s easy to access. Safety was never a concern. I personally enjoyed the cute balcony on the top floor. The kitchen is inviting and has a nice outdoor set up too In the courtyard. The breakfast in the morning is convenient and now I am an espresso drinker :-) Ana even dropped off and picked up my laundry. Don’t think twice, just book Casa Luma. You’ll also meet pleasant travelers during breakfast🌈🌈🌈🌞🌞🌞

We were very happy with our decision to stay at Casa Luma during our time in Lagos. The accommodations were not only very comfortable, but also perfectly located. Ana and Luis provided exceptional service both before and during our stay. They gave us great recommendations for activities and restaurants and were always available to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend Casa Luma to anyone visiting the Algarve region – it’s a choice you won’t regret!

I felt right at home at Casa Luma! The couple who runs the place are so sweet and helpful with everything. They were always available and gave me a lot of excellent local suggestions of what to do and see. I had the single room at the top floor, it is perfect for a solo traveler. The local is very central in the middle of the beautiful old town of Lagos. Walking distance to all the best restaurants and beaches. I will definitely come back and stay longer next time.

There was som noice coming from the air conditioning so had to turn it off in the night. Wish I had air buds with me.

What a great introduction to Portugal! Ana and Luis are wonderful hosts and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Great location, walkable to literally everything! Room is sparse, but perfect for a few nights stay. Could have used some more hooks in bathroom or bedroom, but everything was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast included fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juice, great coffee, pastries, cereals, and great conversation! I would recommend and stay again if in Lagos again.
