I really loved the incense in the room on arrival and the calming smell around the hotel—it felt super relaxing. I had surfing lessons early in the morning on four days, so I couldn’t make it to the normal breakfast, but the staff packed me breakfasts to take with me, which was such a nice touch. The location was great, just a short walk to the restaurants and beaches, and the rooftop view was amazing. Had a really lovely stay!

The only small downside was that the neighboring building was under construction, which affected the view a little, but I’m sure the experience will be even better once that’s finished.

The breakfast is delicious! Hands down, the best breakfast you can find in Lagos! Beautiful interior design, quiet location.

The wifi is really bad, and since we had to work during our stay, this was an issue. We informed the host, and they tried switching on and off the router, but the bandwidth is really poor so nothing much to be done. It was manageable in the morning, but as more people connected it just got worse. Also the design is quite lovely if you are into the moorish vibes, but is rather dusty, and my allergies were flaring up constantly and I am not that sensitive, so beware.

Interior design, I'd say pictures do not reflect how nice it is in real, Moroccan style gives nice casual vibe; mattress was super comfy; staff was super friendly and welcoming; there was a pool and patio to chill out and a fantastic terrace with beautiful views over city walls; breakfast selection was sufficient, a mix of continental and local options (all fresh and tasty), including freshly baked pastel de nata. The guesthouse is located within walking distance to main points of Lagos, yet located in a quiet street

It's time to replace pillows. They were a bit flat and clumpy.

The decor was amazing, every detail thought through and so so beautiful. The staff very friendly, both before the trip in answering any questions, and during the stay as well. Delicious breakfast, very fresh and eggs made to order, in a spacious and sunny room on the rooftop.

We had 3 rooms for our friends and we noticed that there were quite some differences in the amenities provided, even though the room “standard” was the same (things like different toiletries, some rooms had a tea set others didn’t). The breakfast was a little confusing as you had to ask for some things and not others and if something was running low you had to ask for it. Poor WiFi in most places, we had to use data to use the internet. The floors are stone which can get cold so bring slippers if you care about this!

This is an amazing place. Fantastic breakfast with everything you could wish for, including a wide selection of cakes, a lovely rooftop terrace, thoughtfully decorated studios in Moroccan style, big soft bed, and a refreshing pool with sun beds. I could check in early, which was very welcome after a warm train ride, and was made feel very welcome by the staff. Casa da Moura is also very centrally located, close to Praia de Estudiantes & Batata and to the city centre, yet in a quiet location. Would definitely stay there again!

Excellent location close to all attractions and restaurants. A quirky interior for a different experience. The staff were very kind. The small pool in the courtyard is excellent to cool off after a day of exploring. The construction next door did not bother us at all, as we were away during the day and they finished in the late afternoon, so it was very quiet to sleep. Breakfast is served on a rooftop with a wonderful view of the surroundings. Free parking about 5 min away.

An odd smell in the room, could not quite place what it was.

My sister and I stayed for a week. What an absolute gem! Beautiful property with Moroccan theme. Situated on the edge of old town, it is in a quiet area but a very short walk to the restaurants. The room had a large sitting area with fridge, great to have a terrace and the bed was very comfortable. We loved having the pool as well. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choice including homemade cakes. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for all the guests. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back

Nothing, it was perfect

Friendly, helpful hosts who took care of the very nice buffet breakfast and chatted with us about life in the Algarve. Colorful rooms with Moroccan style design and furniture - an antique look, not a shiny new look. The minisplit heater at night helped with a little dampness in the bedding. Breakfast was on a lovely roof deck overlooking a park and the medieval wall. A terrace on the ground floor with a pool was sunlit and warm during our December visit. Farther down the hill are lots of great restaurants. It's a 6-10 minute walk to the harbor via windy streets. Have a navigation app handy!

The styling of the common areas and suite are extremely well done. Attention to detail was very clearly adhered to. The suite was spacious, the bed comfortable and checking in was easy. The location was great - not in the busy centre, but a close walk. There was parking nearby. The staff were extremely friendly and provided a lovely breakfast in the morning. We appreciated their kindness and attentiveness.

The room wasn't 100% clean - there was some left over food on the floor (fries) from the previous guests and wet bath towels were left in the suite - both things easily missed - carpets are colourful and hide food mess and towels were on the back of the door. We also found the lighting really dark - the coloured lanterns are beautiful, but made reading at night impossible. Bring a book lamp if you enjoy reading before bed. Not a big deal - just something to consider.

My friend and I had a lovely Saturday at Casa Da Moura. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a way that creates a very relaxing environment. Our room was the perfect size and the bed was very comfortable. The included breakfast was simple but delicious and we really enjoyed eating it on the rooftop terrace. The staff was also extremely helpful and welcoming. They helped us in booking excursions which helped to make our trip even more relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!
