the horizontal lockers under the bed are not comfortable as you have to pull in and out, they were bulky and heavy as well. lockers blocking each other as they are huge. so you have to wait other people to use their locker and pull over only 1 bed in the dorm where i stayed had a vertical locksr that she did not need to pull in and out so she had the privilage

sensored taps in 3 floors doesnt work well, the settings of the sensor can be midified to better. it was such a pain to brush your teeth and wash your hands. similar thing in the shower, when you shower, the sensor does not detect you behind the curtain so lights goes off. everytime you have to get beyond the shower curtain in order to get the lights on again.

I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm and immediately felt safe. Our room opened up on to a balcony, as did a couple of other rooms, which got plenty of sunshine and they had clothes drying racks out there too. The free breakfast was sufficient and better than other hostel breakfasts that I've paid €8 for. Rooftop pool and general area is amazing too

The under bed lockers had lids so you had to fully pull them out to access anything. Likewise, if the person opposite you had theirs pulled out you couldn't access yours. In the showers there's only a few hooks to put stuff and a small shelf in the shower itself

I enjoyed my stay well, location is great and beds are comfy. I was happy that toilets and showers on my floor were tiny rooms instead of just stalls. Breakfast is good, pancakes & fruits especially! Laura was like a sunshine running through the halls everytime I saw her. I don’t know her name, but one of the cleaner ladies was super nice too.

On the minus side I think privacy curtains on beds could’ve made this stay a bit more enjoyable. There was also a bug in my bed, a harmless one (must’ve been a silverfish) but it still creeped me out crawling from under the mattress. Some of the staff seemed a bit uncaring at times, overall they were mostly nice though.

Brand new place, amazing to have so much outdoor space to hang out in (shared balcony, 2 x rooftops, ground floor terrace). The pool is lovely, great views. Room is very comfy with great air conditioning. Breakfast was great.

The bathroom shower flooded a little bit, probably not well designed. But that's the only thing wrong with the room. Also we had to pay a couple of euro to leave our bags after check out, not a big deal but think for the price of the room it was a little unnecessary, most places don't charge you to store your bag for a few hours when you've stayed overnight.

The hostel is set up great to meet people. They have the pool which really is at the top of the city and a great breakfast. They also organise events within the hostel. I meet so many people while staying here was great for solo travelling. The hostel was also 80% Australians haha

The showers were a little dirty, hair in the drain and other people leaving there empty bottles in there and it not being cleaned. Also the shower is a push button so turns off every 30 seconds.

Big kitchen with enough space in fridge (there’s 2). Breakfast incl (toasts, ham, cheese, pancakes, cucumber, pineapple, melons, cereals, orange juice, coffee) from 8-10. Staff is AMAZING & lots of activities offered. WhatsApp group to communicate with everyone & offer suggestions of the day..Could easily spend a week here. Storage offered before check in for free. Pool is AMAZING!

The storage units under the bed open up from the front which makes a lot of noise and more difficult to organize. The showers are closed off to the ceiling separately so it gets pretty hot and no circulation in there. Sinks splash everywhere. No hairdryer

The staff was very friendly and it was great that they would set up activities for the hostel residents (organised tours, pub crawls, BBQs). The facilities were clean and looked new, the rooftop pool with sun beds was also a bonus! Oh, and breakfast is included (very basic: ham, cheese, toast, honey, pancakes and fruit). Helps if you can't be bothered to chase down food in the morning.

It is a hostel were the average age is mid 20s - so it is a party hostel. If you want to get a early night sleep in the mixed rooms, forget about it. People will be returning from pub crawls and noisily talking on the terrace connecting rooms until 3-4am. The girls only rooms are tidier and quieter however.

TopCity Hostel Suites is a great choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience. The hostel is new, and the staff do an excellent job keeping everything clean and well-maintained. Breakfast is simple but adequate, perfect to start the day. Its location is ideal—within walking distance to the beach and all major attractions. The staff also organize fun and well-curated activities, creating a social and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed at and that's from a person who has been to 56 countries (so I have been to a few!). In hostels there will always be an odd person who has an issue and leaves a bad review. This hostel is well run with great staff - it is the cleanest hostel you will find - the pool on the rooftop is great depending on the time of year you visit. I've stayed 4 times - 3 times in Summer and now once in Spring. It has a nice balance between being a place you can relax or if you wish take advantage on some of their fun things (karaoke, sunset tour, Portuguese dinners etc). Just do it!

This stay exceeded our expectations! The staff all made the stay that much more amazing! We really appreciated the community feel, knowledge and group activities that were organized on the daily for guests. There’s always something to do! The view from the private suites are out of this world. Breakfast served overlooking the water and parts of historic old town Lagos - amazing! A special thank you to Catarina, Ivo and Laura for taking such great care of us and your guests! Will definitely return and/or recommend this hostel to our friends!

If I really had to pick one, it would maybe be the slightly cold showers? Not the end all
