We really enjoyed our room—it was larger and cleaner than expected. The bed was not only huge but also had a very comfortable mattress. The light tones in the room added a nice touch. It was tough to leave on the day we visited Mafra Palace because the room was so cozy. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. The staff was friendly, allowing us to leave our bags until we caught the bus. Thanks for a great time in Mafra!

We enjoyed the location of the hotel which is an easy walk to the Mafra Palace as well as good restaurants. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions that enhanced our stay.

The rooms are very practical and somewhat sparse but good for one night as a stopover from Lisbon going north or exploring the coast.

I was able to check in 2 hours early on Christmas day which was very helpful and staff gave me directions to a local restaurant that was also open. It was an excellent recommendation. Hotel was very clean, good location and a very good breakfast choice.

We only stayed briefly, leaving early in the morning before breakfast, the hotel is only about 30 minutes from Lisbon airport. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful about getting us on the road at 600. Would definitely stay again.

The location of the hotel is optimal for exploring Mafra...The Staff are friendly and outgoing...The room was large and had everything I needed...Big Shower was a bonus and very clean...Quiet property...Perfect to Relax!

The mattress is way passed expiration date...Not comfortable at all...

Room (upgraded for €20 per night to junior suite) was spacious, with comfortable bed (and pillows!), and excellent air conditioning. Breakfast is basic but adequate. Free parking adjacent to the hotel is a very big plus. Staff was accommodating in providing an upgrade to the junior suite. Location within 5-7 min walk from the national palace - a site worth seeing, particularly the library, which is impressive.

Original room on 2nd floor had very loud road noise intrusion - the hotel is located right on a busy road near a roundabout and cars accelerating from the roundabout create a lot of noise. Windows in original room did not do an adequate job of insulating sound. Upgraded room (junior suite - €20 per night additional) had a tub - with a hand shower, but no place to hang the shower head - hotel staff claimed that «everyone just sits in the tub and uses the hand shower to rinse off». Strange. Selection of restaurant in the vicinity (maybe it's just Mafra) quite limited.

The facilites and personnel

One of the things noted as a quality is the advantage of being soundproof. Maybe do the outside.inside others guest indiscriminately easedrop and comment on other people based on their ear. Not even a bit o provice. Good news for me i only rented to 1 night. I left the same night, without sleeping because of others guests noise, meddling and poor education, raising their voices and making unfortunate comments. Although it seemed great, i ended up leaving with no refund whatsoever and was annoyed , to the point of feeling so uncomfortable. Do not recommend unless you feal well with tiny minds. Impressive.

Reception and main door closed after midnight, I had to ring the bell several times until the receptionist came - despite previous notice. The AC is programmed in Fahrenheit and not Celsius - took me quite a while to get the temperature right

I not drinking milk, coffee and various juices, I asked if there was orange juice (the only thing I can drink in the morning), the lady on duty answered me rudely that there were only those juices and not just orange.
