From we arrived until we left everything was wonderful. They give us an update although we had booked an economy room so that was a good start. The staff were so friendly nothing was no trouble the food was excellent from the breakfast to meals in the restaurant. The lady who owns the hotel was on hand at the age of 85 over seeing everything but in a nice way. This is not an all singing all dancing pretentious hotel it's simplistic and oldie world. If you embrace this then you won't be disappointed.

Nothing really- however 2 points to pass on; information on the surrounding area/ walks would have been helpful. Also the weather was hot and it would have been great to have a fridge to keep water cold or access to ice.

We had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was exceptionally clean, and the beds were very comfortable, though the decor felt a bit old-fashioned. The standout feature was the staff, who were exceptionally friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Breakfast was good, but a bit more variety would have made it even better for our longer stay. Overall, a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. We would recommend it.

Beautiful homely place, very friendly people. The garden is absolutely amazing, and the pool is a nice addition. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere, which made it very quiet and nice to be away, however, everything around is very easily accesible by car. Breakfast was good as well, and the dining in was nice as well!

The room itself is not very spacious, and bit outdated style, but this didn't bother us at all since it was clean and everything worked great.

We loved everything! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable (great AC), and the common areas were beautiful. The peaceful surroundings were exactly what we needed. Breakfast was good and having the restaurant on-site was also very convenient.

We believe there’s some room for improvement in the restaurant meals.

We especially liked the pool area, however it could do with smartening up slightly. The staff were very friendly, a member of staff called Rose was very helpful. She spoke very good English and I believe she had only just started the job recently and seemed to be learning the ropes very quickly.

It would have very helpful for us if there had been a lift, we are both 76 and the stairs were quite difficult at times. Also it would have been quite good if there had been tea and coffee making facilities in the room. However we still enjoyed the stay.

This was a return visit for us, which should say a lot. The tranquility and ambience is a delight. The breakfast is plentiful with good choices available for other meals either in Albergaria do Lageado or nearby. It's also a great base for exploring with good access to the coast or the hills.

Nothing really, sometimes the traffic on the nearby road was noticeable when by the pool.

Location great. Nice pool, nice terraces. Restaurant food good. Staff were nice, and helpful. The area was peaceful.

Breakfast o.k. The bacon and eggs cold unless there at the beginning. the Bread was lovely, but coffee only so-so and the orange juice disappointing for Portugal! But staff were lovely and bread/cheese/ham for breakfast was very nice though.

Room cleanliness. Good breakfast. Peaceful location. Beautiful gardens.

Nice pool, but not clean. Poor restaurant evening meal, particularly vegetarian, only one and poor quality, yet expensive. Evening meal staff gave inaccurate information. Chipped wine glasses, and had to ask for cutlery.

The room with large terrace to the nature. The nice ambiance in the hotel and the very kindly host and stuff. We really enjoy this place after the hard travel days spent on Algarve beaches.

We think that a freeze is really necessary in the rooms. Especially for hot days like ours.
