Check-in was easy and was able to do so early at around 12:00PM. Ana received me and was very friendly. She showed me around and explained the door codes to enter the property and room; no card or key required. Also shared a map with recommendations for food, drinks, and shopping. It appears to be a new hostel with private suites; everything looked new and was kept in good condition. Simple design with quirky details which made it unique. Pretty inner patio with pool. Did not use the comunal kitchen but it’s available. The suites have a separate entrance which leads to a road where you can catch an Uber/Bolt easier than through the pedestrian street. Room was spacious, comfy beds and ok bathroom. The shower is on the small size, like a 3 FT x 3 FT. The windows have shutters and you can shut them to have dark room if that’s an issue for you. Location is on a pedestrian street, about an 8 minute walk from the train station. Walk to the marina/ribeirinha is about 12 minutes.

The a/c created condensation in the room. I tried to get it cooler but the bathroom kept fogging up. Not sure what happened. The bathroom has a small window and does not vent too well. As mentioned previously, small shower but in good working order. Due to it being low season, the restaurant was closed therefore, no breakfast was available. Not a biggie, since there are plenty places to eat at but on a Sunday, it might be challenging to find something open early.

The property was a short distance to the train station, which was perfect for my afternoon flight. The staff were genuinely friendly and helped me change my accommodation at the last minute. The room was spotless, it was quiet at night, and the pool was an amazing feature to have when you just wanted to relax. The brunch place was good too which was easy to access. I also found the restaurants in the area to have some stellar food and a grocery store not far from the Hostel for other things. My stay was absolutely splendid and had friendly travelers as well.

No cons for me, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Nice and clean. Perfect backyard to relax and chill with other guests. Modern and comfortable vibes. The food in the restaurant is good and you’ll get 20%off the food if you are staying in the hostel.

I recommend to book the suites with AC if you’re on holiday in summer time!! The restaurant close at 04:00 pm. We were going on a festival nearby and wish we could order some drinks in the evening. Also they charged us for a paper cup because we wanted to bring our cappuccino with us after eating breakfast and didn’t have time to drink it up.

I adored this place. I dare to say it is the best hostel I've ever stayed at (and I've been in hundreds). Everything was perfect: the room was nice, my bed was super comfortable (it was not a bunk bed, though. Just a single bed inside a dorm), everything was perfectly clean. Inside the bedroom we have drawers with keys so you can leave your computer there. There were blankets available, towels that the staff changes every two days if you need to.. Most of my stay I was alone in the entire hostel so I had the whole building for myself which was a huge bonus. But either way, I had a suite bathroom besides the other couple bathrooms there are in the hallway. The kitchen is fully equipped, from toasters to coffee makers (yes, various of them), to various frying pans and casserole, there even were spices and condiments.. There is also a study room with a TV where I sat to work. I also loved the small place it has behind, with a parasol and a concrete armchair if you need some air. And there is like a small gallery in between with a small table and chairs and there is a lot of light there so it's nice to have breakfast. The cleaning lady was very, very nice.

There is no one around in the front desk, although if you call the number that appears on Booking they pick up instantly and help. Also the window in my room wouldn't close so I didn't feel entirely safe because I was alone in the hostel, but I understand this is a safe town so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Pool and room were very nice Busy Anna the boss was most approachable and supportive 👍🏽💃🏾💐x😆 Cleaning staff were EXCELLENT 👏🏽👏🏽 non stop cleaning and very friendly staff And reception staff toooo. Great kitchen and cooking environment. Ahhh the restaurant staff Clayton and staff (name omits me :)) were very nice - they never fail to say hello 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Small bathrooms - can’t be tooooo comfort for a big person

Food was lovely and healthy, great location, I loved the fact you received discount at the restaurant when you are staying at the property. Staff were absolutely amazing from the reception staff to the staff in the restaurant. I met some amazing people during my visit who were also staying at PTM….. I would most definitely stay here again and bring my family along too.

The female bathroom is very small compared to the men’s, there is no lock on the toilet door so you are constantly worrying thinking someone might walk in whilst your on the toilet, one of the showers were blocked so there was a lot of water on the floor coming from the shower into the toilet area.

Towels & toiletaries were included in the price. Someone came to make up the room each day. Aircon was a lifesaver. The window shutters were brilliant. All staff very friendly.

Alot of noise!!! I heard 4 people in the next/below room have showers, use the toilet and all of the conversations. The cafe connected only does breakfast and opens at 9am for a few hrs. It is shut on Mondays. If you have bags you have to lug them up multiple sets of stairs which are slippery. Approx 25-30miin walk to the beach. Not the 1.2miles stated. For a hostel, it was okay. For the price.. i expected more.

Staff friendly and helpful, place was modern and really clean! Location close to bus station, shops and restaurants! Air con in room was very helpful after being in the sun for 6-8hrs per day :). Like the little outdoor area with drying rack and table outside of room. Outdoor lounge area very nice and the pool!

Could only ever find one bowl to use for my breakfast. There was no hairdryer which is common in most hostels, would be appreciated! And if there were curtains on the bed, also appreciated.

Very comfortable bed and room. Blackout external blind, and sound reducing windows. The room and bathroom were modern, and everything was well maintained. The place was nicely decorated and had a good vibe. We stayed in a private room which was as good as a hotel, if not better, but with the added bonus of being able to use kitchen facilities if needed. The pool and courtyard were great too. We had the €5 breakfast (not open on Mondays though) which was delicious and excellent value for money.

I thought it was adults only but was woken up one morning by kids running up and down the corridor.

Guys, this place is just amazing! I came here after a Lagos and I didnt have high expectations...i mean I knew the city is simple...but this place is a really hidden treasure!It's an a comfortable, modern and cozy place. The pool is def my favourite. During the day and night,too. Rafa, who welcomed me,was really helpful and kind. He also works in the bistro that it build into the hostel.I miss the chance the discounted breakfast but dont make the same mistake!the food looks beautiful...I just didnt have enough time...🙈😉 This is a great oasis with great travellers so don't skip your chance!
