Location was really nice - just a half-block from the waterside, near walking streets with lots of cute restaurants and cafes, and an easy walk from the stadium (we were there to attend a football match). The decor of the rooms was really nice - I was in the "green room" upstairs; friends had the red room and the purple room on the main floor (where the breakfast patio is). The breakfast was really excellent for a smaller facility: wide selection of fresh fruits, eggs made to order, etc.

As an older person with creaky knees, I did have to be careful going up and down the steep staircase to my room. This is not the hotel's fault! It was not a big problem at all unless you are in pretty bad shape.

Fabulous stay in Villa Rio staff where very friendly and attentive breakfast was delicious 😋 could get an omelette or fried egg and rasher if u liked lovely fresh fruit and charcuterie just right for the start in the morning. Bed was really comfortable and place was spotlessly clean. Really enjoyed our stay and will be delighted to go back thank Bianca for making us feel so welcome keep doing what ur doing u made us feel at home and we had a late check-in and this was no problem 😊 😀

I stayed here for one night 5 years ago and I liked it so much I decided to spend here my whole stay in Algarve. The property is very well maintained and it looks like I remembered it. It's cozy and very clean. The staff is nice and helpful. It's located in the city centre. There's no parking, parking on the street is payable but there's a big, free parking nearby (next to Repsol petrol station).

I think a breakfast was better last time. It could be improved a bit. For sure organisation could be better. However, it was still good. I'm not sure if the ring bell is a good idea. Reception is open only in some hours, some guest(s) came in the middle of the night and used the bell. I don't know why, but they woke up the other guests and still there was nobody at the reception to open door.

Heritage building which has retained much of its charm. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Nice breakfast patio. Good choices for breakfast options.

Mildew on ceiling of bathroom, with a bit of a musty smell when french doors not open. It is on a busy street so did not want them open overnight ( though there was very little traffic after 9pm as it turned out). A bit limited for restaurants in immediate area, but lots a short cab/Bolt ride away

The staff were very friendly and helpful - offering places to eat - great suggestion - delicious 😀👍. There is a large parking lot nearby, so no worries about finding a spot when we were there. They offer a nice buffet breakfast and an outdoor sitting area to eat. There is a small pool there as well, but this was closed during our stay due to temperatures. Our room was nice, but you may want to get one of the bigger rooms for a bit more space. You can unpack your stuff into the offered armoire, but we opted for suitcase living for a couple of days. The location of this Guest House may not be for everyone, as it is away from the beach area. It is a quieter area, but there are several shops and restaurants nearby. If you want to head to the beach, it is a short Bolt ride away or a nice walk. I would suggest doing Google Street view to see where the entrance door is as well. Thank you for a great stay.

The doors weren't very soundproof, so closing doors, talking, or other noises were heard fairly easily. I can certainly assume the opposite as well. The beds were comfortable, but a bit firmer than what we are used to.

We stayed in the yellow deluxe suite, which is a very spacious, comfortable and quiet room on the top floor with a beautiful view of the river and the river promenade. The reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and efficient. Breakfast was good and included eggs cooked to order. The location is great. The guesthouse is excellent value for money.

I honestly can't think of anything that could have improved our stay. Location was excellent, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious. The room and bathroom were well appointed and comfortable. We were in the "green room", the bathroom door did stick a little at the bottom, so it was a bit hard to close, but other than that -- everything was great!

I will start chronolofically: 1/ The management's communication was exceptional; they waited for us close to 4 hours after our original ETA and greeted us, showing us around all the facilities. 2/ The facilities were amazing - it was our 28th anniversary and when we decided to use the pool in the evening we were completely alone and felt like we were in a 5-star resort on an island, very private, beautifully lit with a special welcome box of fruits and chocolates, plus a great wine for our occasion. 3/ The room was huge with over 12-foot ceilings, contributing to the special atmosphere of this beautifully restored property; the comfortable king-size bed and huge bathroom added an incredible sense of pampering to our experience. 4/ The breakfast was generous and diverse, which was a welcome end of our visit. Bravissimi!

The room was bright and spacious! The bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were fluffy but not too soft. Breakfast was nicely laid out each morning, and there was a decent selection of items. Parking was close by and not overly expensive. There are also lots of restaurants, banks, and shops in the vicinity.

Pur room was adjacent to the main stairwell, and people going in/out of the main front door would slam it, which was very loud in our room.

Room was spacious, bath room was spacious with an excellent shower, room was clean and equipped with everything you would need, lovely view from the room, staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
