The hotel’s location in the picturesque village of Porto Moniz, overlooking natural pools, is a major plus. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, ensuring that any issues or questions we had were addressed promptly and efficiently. On the check-out day, even before breakfast, the hotel staff was kind enough to prepare picnic-style breakfast bags for us, as we had to leave early in the morning. From our room balcony, we were treated to breathtaking views of the ocean and the charming Ribeira da Janela. The daily cleaning service was impeccable, and our kids were delighted to discover some free chocolate candies left behind after the cleaning.

The indoor swimming pool and the steam room both require thorough cleaning. The steam room was particularly unpleasant, emitting a strong odor of sewage, rendering it completely unusable.

The room was big, comfortable and clean, right on the beach. Big balcony with an ocean view, could hear the waves with the door open, really lovely. Kind and attentive staff, breakfast was great with many options!

The AC is initially controlled from the front desk, needed to ask them to turn it on then was a bit complicated to handle it from the room as could not turn it off if wanted. Also was a portable AC unit in the room for some reason, and it was loud and space taking. Rooftop pool should be heated a bit, the area is very windy and cold, heated rooftop pool would make such a big difference for me.

A Stay to Remember – The Best View in Madeira! Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of magical! The location alone is worth every euro – perched in what must be the best possible spot in Madeira, offering a breathtaking, unforgettable view. We’ve traveled a lot, but this was truly the most stunning scenery we’ve ever experienced! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Thoughtful sweet gifts upon check-in and cozy little surprises throughout our stay made it feel extra special. The attention to detail was outstanding – from impeccable cleaning standards to the most charming personal touches. One of our favorite moments? Finding our kid’s teddy bear decorated differently each day, which never failed to make us smile! And then… the breakfast! Absolutely delicious, with a fantastic variety, but what I already miss the most? That freshly squeezed natural orange juice every single morning – simply divine! 🤣 If you’re looking for a place that combines warmth and the best views Madeira has to offer, this is it. Highly, highly recommend! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Everything was jus perfect

Fantastic reception staff. Hotel clean and contemporary. Breakfast selection was great. Beds were dreamy. Robes/slippers appreciated (and used!) Yeah! Electrical plugs on bedside tables! Yeah! Nespresso machine in the room! Yeah! Filtered water machine at reception! Complementary Natural Pools access. Rooftop pool great for relaxing and photos.

Parking - wasn’t an issue for our stay June 2/25, but can see how it might be difficult during busier seasons. Rooftop - add a refillable water station, for when rooftop bar isn’t open. Discounts - Consider offering a discount at your sister hotels/restaurants on the printed brochure attached to check-in card even if not joining loyalty. Ie. I would have appreciated a 10% food discount at the Seaview restaurant, not just the onsite restaurant at Aqua Natura Bay. Advertise your free loyalty program at checkin - this is perfect chance to introduce customers to your properties! I would have joined but learned at end of stay.

Great sea and mountain views. The room was spotlessly clean. When we arrived , there was a romantic decoration on the bed and lively message from the hotel in the room with complementary sweet and drink! The staff were all friendly and breakfast was delicious. We were given free ticket to the new rock swimming pool each day.

Lack of facilities and services , such as local tours and excursion booking at the hotel reception . So you will have to find it online. In fact there is no local tours departing at Porto Moniz so you would have to drive to Funchal or to Calheta. The hotel was situated in Porto Moniz which was too remote for us. Without a rent a car, you will not survive. We used a taxi from /to airport but as soon as we arrived we realised there was little thing we can do in the village and decided to hire a car. But to go and collect a car we needed to take a bus to Funchal and it was a hell of a long journey. With a rent- a car you could go to other touristic places island . But if you just stay in Porto Moniz you would get bored.

Really nice hotel in a central location of Porto Moniz and has a small parking lot (probably gets busy quick in high season but there is paid lots nearby for 5 Euros a day). The pool on the top of the roof is lovely and has an amazing view. The room was really modern, with a balcony over looking the water and really clean. The breakfast was really nice. The staff was awesome, especially the woman who gave us our welcome drink and was working during breakfast. They also gave everyone a free bottle of sparkling wine on the first night.

We are a family of 4 with two kids (5y & 1y). We enjoyed our stay at Aqua Natura Bay very much. The staff were proactively helpful and friendly. The alcohol-free welcome drink was delicious. The hotel locates right across the street to the natural pool and the view point. The waves were fascinating. The room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the sitting on the balcony. We made a good use of the indoor pool and the jacuzzi. Our 5y could stand until around half of the pool length. The breakfast offered a large variety of foods and fruits. Everything was really excellent!

The hotel is wonderful, very nice and very clean rooms, confortable beds, impressive and marvelous views from the room's balcony. Also big room with good amenities and a welcome champaign bottle, really nice one. The spa and indoor pool services were great, also not crowded, so we enjoyed it a lot. The infinity pool in the rooftop was amazing with incredible views, however, as the weather in April was not that nice, we couldn't try it, but we took nice pictures up there. The breakfast is amazing, I think one of the best we've tried. Coffee is great, different options and handmade cakes and omelets. Many thanks for the staff for showing up to sing "Happy Birthday" to my boyfriend and bringing a cake with candles the day of his birthday, really nice gesture. Finally, the staff is wonderful, they are helpful and nice, I think this is one of the best thing from this hotel. They even gave us a handmade jam as goodbye present. Thanks to all!!

Pools lovely but small - not suitable for swimming, more for lounging. Temperature regulation of spa facilities inconsistant - hot tub not hot enough and steam room too hot to be able to sit down in at times. Cold bucket in spa area not filling/working properly. Coffee machine in room flimsy/difficult to operate.

By far the best hotel we stayed in. The moment you step in, the staff makes you feel like the most important and only residents in the hotel. Very attentive, professional, polite, friendly, sweet, and lovely. All the necessary information is provided clearly upon arrival. Cleanliness, comfort, decor, and state of the facilities are on the highest level. Breakfast choices and quality are very, very good. All the little surprises along your stay just add to the overall satisfaction. The ideal location for beautiful levadas walks on the north side of the island. Short minutes drive from another fantastic town serving delicious food. The natural pools at the doorstep make it a wonderful spot for a romantic, solo, or family stay.

Dinner service was a little slow, which was acknowledged at the end by the staff themselves, yet still very professional, friendly, and going above and beyond to make your stay as memorable as possible. In a positive way. Give it a go, and you won't regret it.
