- difficulty with the self check in (we arrived during their half day off) : you have to touch the knob’s button and press five before entering the code. And pay attention! If you miss the code twice it will be really hard to put in the code. - the fridge is turned off when you leave and take the card out - the shower was clogged…

View, the size and location of the room + terrace.

Breakfast. It needs to be improved especially the refilling of the different food. It did not happen automatically but it was always on request by us. The bathroom comparing to the size of the entire suit was too small.

The deluxe suite room was very spacious and worth the extra cost. A walking track starts in the village - despite having a closed sign for several years it is quite ok to walk, just needs some maintenance in places. Possible to return on the trail down to Paul de Mar and walking back along the rocky beach providing the tide is not too high.

It was expensive for what it was. The furnishings are minimal, no wardrobe, no kettle, cups, tea or coffee, not even drinking glasses. There is no pool or towels provided for swimming in the sea. The staff were not welcoming nor helpful.

- there is all you need In this place! - no luxury but cozy, welcoming and sufficient place. -We had a great sleep. Would def come again! -simple breakfast but good enough, we even got tired of all the (very similar) massive buffet style places on Madeira so here it was less choices but enough to start you in the day ;) - super friendly staff!!!!

- all was great!! Only the village, jardim do mar, is a bit on the boring side. We stayed just one night and that was enough: we hiked to Prazeres (very steep stairs, exiting but also a bit scary as we weren’t sure where and wether we will arrive and all) (ps we travel without car!)

The staff who work there is extremely friendly and helpful - no problem with late check-in (at 9pm) and early check-out (7am) - in the same building there is a restaurant which serves delicious food! Fully recommended to try it! - due to early check-out we couldn't join breakfast so the staff prepared food bags for us the night before so we weren't hungry in the morning - it was everything that we needed for breakfast! - close to the hotel there is a small shop - it has plenty of parking spots around the hotel - the hotel is located in a great local area, it was a pleasure to stay there - the room was very clean

The hosts/staff were fantastic. Made us feel very welcomed and we're helpful for anything we needed. The location was good, small restaurant was always staffed and available. It was certainly the staff who made our experience a great one.

Rooms don't have power unless key is in the power slot at the door. Meant the room was often hot on our return from a day out.

The manager / owner was brilliant. He upgraded our room on arrival (for a little extra), the rooms were super. We could open the balcony doors and hear the ocean. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was very good. Great stay

A kettle in the room would have been a bonus. And extra pillows, one each wasn't quite enough.

Great room in a small village, perfect for a 1-2 night stay. The owners were friendly and helpful, restaurant was good. We would stay again.

Our room had beautiful big windows which made our room like a sauna and the ac could not keep up. It made the room unbearable to be in the afternoon hours.

First impression - it was very clean. It is also in an idyllic location for a stoll by the sea, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. it was also very affordable, and certainly the best option for those who are passing through the region and just looking for a place to stay. Highly recommendable.

Not a negative, just an observation - this is a great place for those who want a good breakfast, a sceinic view, a nice walk and a peaceful place to sleep, but if you are looking for more than that - well, next stop please...

Clean, cozy, spacious, AC, great facilities, close to the seaside, very friendly staff.

Rooms are very nice, but not as lucurious as advertised. The only thing it lacks is a terrace/balcony as advertised. Still definitely recommend the place if you are staying in Jardim do Mar.
