After a strenuous travel in France I needed to rest and recover. This was the ticket! We arrived and they brought us a glass of sparkling wine while checking in and had a bottle on ice on our balcony. The balcony looked out to the waves crashing on the rocks and a stunning view! Leaving the sliding door open at night was divine. Beds comfy. Hot tub perfect temp! Easy parking. Big room with big bathroom! TV stations with many in English (with Portugués subs). The staff may be my fav in recent memory. Front desk was helpful with suggestions and so nice. I mean they could win a hospitality award!

The breakfast was included and the views from the restaurant magnificent. They had brewed coffee - a treat in Europe! However, the food was avg. It did not change from day to day. Nothing bad, but very avg. The hotel is in a small town and is an hour from Funchal. Some people may not like that. Others may love it! Funchal Forest not far. The natural pools they show are lukewarm. I didn’t enjoy them. Others I saw only stayed in them a short time. My friend said the saltwater irritated his eccema but not blaming them. It’s supposed to be good for your skin and bones. I doubt it. It hurt his skin. Too cold to help bones.

A very nice seaside hotel literally just a step away from natural pools. I travel a lot, but this place certaintly exceeded my expectations... First of all, the hotel is located in the most beautiful part of Porto Moniz. The view of the pools and ocean were amazing. The balcony was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. The staff were professional and super friendly, they take care about all details and guest needs. The room was clean, and cleaned daily, very nicely decorated and spacious. The bed was big and comfy. Breakfast was really good. The receptionists are always pleased to help you with smile and are very kind. I truly recommend the Hotel.

There is the welcome drink on arriving, it was a glass of wine. I don’t drink alcohol at all so I asked for coffee instead. And it was surprised when I was asked to pay for this. It is ok for me to pay, but don’t call this one welcomed drink.

I liked the location. It was next to the natural pools and you get free access once a day. They had a lot of vouchers and free options to do so that was amazing. The room was always super clean. The staff were helpful and friendly. They help you with renting a car and your drive back to the airport. The view was amazing from the room. The breakfast was good. We stayed there a whole week. The island is small enough to stay at one place. You can explore the island by renting a car.

The only thing we didn’t like was that there is no air conditioning in the room. It felt warm in the room so we always had our balcony doors open. We even slept like that, which was kind of scary to do. If the doors are closed you hear a nice calm sound of the sea in the background. With the doors open it was way too loud. But we felt like we didn’t have another option.

Access to the Natural Pools is included in the price. The hotel rooms overlook the pools and we received a nice bottle of sparkling wine to drink on the balcony, as a welcome gift.They have a gym and an indoor and outdoor pool in their old hotel next door, that you can use. Unfortunately we weren’t told about this upon checking in, and only found out right before leaving. The natural pools were closed on one day of our stay due to being attacked by huge waves from the ocean. So it would have been nice to use the other pools. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice, with a big selection and a member of staff preparing omelettes, pancakes, and waffles for whoever wants them. Location was great although Porto Moniz is often foggy and windy. There was the Semana Do Mar festival on in the town during our stay, so there was lots going on!

Room was pretty tiny and the bathroom looks pretty old. Not really what you expect for the price they charge. I guess you lay for the sea and natural pools view. Maybe it was more expensive than usual because of the festival.I was just surprised when I entered the room, expecting 4 star quality. It was the smallest room of our stay in Madeira. Nice small balcony though. Spa comes at an extra cost (as expected of course). There was a lot of construction going on outside the entrance, and of course the road was closed due to the festival, so parking was difficult to find. The hotel staff could have given advanced notice and directions, in my opinion. But these circumstances are a one-off so do not really affect the review. Wifi could be better. My 5G gave me better results.

The newly renovated ocean front suites are SPECTACULAR. Every detail of the rooms interior is stunning and clean, the view is amazing and privatized. We wish we’d booked for a longer stay just for the rooms alone. Access to the pools was also super easy and entry included in your stay, so no wait to get in. Staff was very helpful. Included breakfast was exceptional: fruit, cheeses, pancakes, waffles, omelet bar, cereal, and more. Great luxury value for the price point

Due the recent renovation there were few/no signs to find the new check-in location (but they had literally relocated the day we arrived). Some construction ongoing. It it didn’t get in our way or interfere with our stay

Aqua Natura Madeira provided a great stay. Upon arrival, they offerred welcome drinks at check-in, and a bottle of Moscato in the room, which was a nice touch. The room accomodations were exactly as pictured - beds and pillows were comfortable. They offer free access to the Natural Pools twice per day. The sauna and jacuzzi were also relaxing. We had access to the free breakfast which was a vast buffet of many different food options. We also took advantage of the dining options which were quite good.

The room key needs to be "plugged in" the room to have the AC turned on. For guests that are looking to get an early start, it would have been nice to have breakfast start earlier in the morning (breakfast starts at 730)

It was fantastic to have free access to the natural pools, I’d highly recommend going to them just as the open to get the best experience while it’s quiet. Handy to have parking available as the area can be really busy in the day. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Room was spotless and spacious. The view from the room over the pools and ocean was incredible. The hotel offered discounts at a few connected restaurants. Nice touches with welcome drinks, toiletries and robes.

There was a standalone unit for the air-con which wasn’t efficient and very noisy, the room was very warm in the night.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, attention to details - every day chocolate was provided, welcome drink and when we checked out we got also small present, good choices of food during the breakfast, rooms are really in front of the ocean, free tickets to natural swimming pools, sauna and jacuzzi were perfect!

Location is advantage and disadvantage. From one side it’s a unique place, from another side Porto Moniz is really small village, you can discover everything within 1 hour, not good choice of restaurants around the hotel.

It's just an incredible place! I will be honest, the hotel looks very simple, but as soon as we entered our room we were enamoured and enchanted! We had a balcony overlooking the ocean which was incredibly close, we had the opportunity to not only watch the raging waves but also listen to the sound of the ocean all night long! We purposely left the balcony open at night, if you close it the konata would be quiet. The konata is great! The bed is incredibly large and comfortable, we were greeted with a welcome bottle of sparkling wine which was very nice. The room had a nice bathroom with everything we needed. The water pressure in the shower was good. The breakfast, not a big buffet, had everything we needed. I had boiled eggs at my request and the staff were polite. On my birthday they brought me a cake with a candle. The view from the restaurant was also unforgettable on the ocean.

I will be frank, the uniforms worn by the receptionists look incredibly cheap and poor quality, which affects the first impression of the hotel. The girls themselves are very nice, friendly and attentive! Change their uniforms please! Also the welcome drink was tasteless, I didn't even understand what I was drinking, either tea in a glass under champagne or some juice and dried fruit floated in it, which also causes not the best impression. A normal glass of sparkling wine would have made a better impression.
