Amazing garden with an ocean view like a paradise. Very friendly staff. Quiet area. Great coffee at the restaurant. Big comfortable bed. Cats :)

After rain if your clothes or shoes got wet, there's almost no way to dry them out. Due to crazy air humidity, almost everything in the room remains wet. There is an AC but it was not helping a lot. The breakfast was good, but the choice was pretty limited and remain the same in front of entire week of our stay.

Amazing location, nature is beautiful and gardens surrounding the bungalows are surreal. We were in newer studio-bungalow, and it was really nice. Waking up in the morning with lovely views and sounds of only birds is irreplaceable. Older bungalows seem a bit run-down from outside, but I cannot tell how they are from inside. There are two pools as well on site that are both good. Breakfast was nice, modest but everything was tasty. Staff is very kind and helpful, on the first night we arrived they recommended and booked us a restaurant, so we don't have to look for it.

Kitchen in studio is not really equipped great so don't expect to cook anything more than simple eggs.

I loved the grounds, it is a treat for gardeners. So many beautiful flowers in bloom. Plus the rose garden- fantastic! There are two nice size swimming pools. Our little house did have table/chairs an a hammock in front. Kitchenette was very basic Water pressure very good easy to control temperature as well Early start with a breakfast was a plus

Shower curtain too small , water was leaking outside the bathtub. Sheer curtain is needed in the bedroom for privacy, Also maybe cling film on the bathroom window. My husband noticed on the smaller bed tiny 🐜 . Reception give him extra new sheets Even wit all his I would still recommend the place.

Great hotel with a large very well-taken-care-of territory, charming houses, very quiet. We enjoyed walk to the Rosarium even it wasn't the season for roses. We liked everything about our stay and wish we had more time to use the pool, stay on the terrace etc. As it was chilly in the evening, we were happy to see a small fireplace in the house and prepared wood for making fire (in addition to the electric heater that was provided), but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the fire, as the wood was extremely tough and wouldn't burn. Breakfast included in the rate was served in the restaurant nearby and had everything needed including hot items, eggs etc

We had a great experience, but our friends in a different house suffered with high humidity - bed and towels were moist, there was a specific smell in the house.

The Tropical Garden, the pools and the surrounding was outstanding. From the First Minute we loved it! We had two apartments next to each other which was great for a family. Both were clean and new and we liked them. Small kitchenette- enough for us but if you want to cook real meals things might be missing.

The breakfast gets a bit boring after a while, but still okay for this price. Also you should know that you need a car because orherwise it is hard to reach supermarkets or restaurants (we had a car, so no problem for us). One thing we missed was a choice of Small snacks if you stay at the pool. But this is just a random mini complaint.

The property is truly charming, with several independent bungalows that make the place feel special and relaxing. Located in the northern part of the island, it’s perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by nature. With two convenient parking areas, it’s an excellent base for exploring the island by car. The rooms were comfortable and well-kept, and we had a pleasant stay overall.

Our staying in Pestana was lovely. The garden and the whole complex is outstanding. The amount of plants and views wherever you looked were absolutely beautiful. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was quiet and private. You can use the common swimming pool (there are two of them) - both nicely maintained. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfasts are good - many options to choose. Nearby is the local shop and view point - 5mins away by foot. I strongly reccomed staying here if you look for a quiet, slow place with nature around :)

Nothing to complain about.

The garden and the surrandings are amazing and expeptional. Each morning the birds were waking is up:) The view , calm evenings at the villa tarrace and hammock were the best. I would come back for 2-3 nights stay (as a part of the trip around Madeira)

The breakfast preps were not ready for the busy season- most of the time all the Buffet options were empty. Some villas requires renovation as it is 4stars hotel.

The garden. The employees. The location. The pool. The fireplace and wood provided.

The rooms are quite old and need to be renovated. The shower is in very bad conditions (room 11) and dangerous. It's impossible to take a shower while standing as the ceiling is too low and to get out of there, I'm young so it's not a problem but for elderly people it would be a nightmare and subject to slip and fall because you need to stretch to get out of the shower. It's definitely not a 4 star nor a 3 but there's a lot of potential (if you modernize). And I think it's time.

Location was incredible, surrounded by greenery, the mountains behind and nothing but the noise of birds. The staff were very kind, especially Samantha and Fiona.

Our booking was for 3, the sofa bed for the 3rd person was very uncomfortable. Our room smelt of damp and you were able to see it across one wall, this wasn't ideal.
