Amazing garden with an ocean view like a paradise. Very friendly staff. Quiet area. Great coffee at the restaurant. Big comfortable bed. Cats :)

After rain if your clothes or shoes got wet, there's almost no way to dry them out. Due to crazy air humidity, almost everything in the room remains wet. There is an AC but it was not helping a lot. The breakfast was good, but the choice was pretty limited and remain the same in front of entire week of our stay.

Great hotel with a large very well-taken-care-of territory, charming houses, very quiet. We enjoyed walk to the Rosarium even it wasn't the season for roses. We liked everything about our stay and wish we had more time to use the pool, stay on the terrace etc. As it was chilly in the evening, we were happy to see a small fireplace in the house and prepared wood for making fire (in addition to the electric heater that was provided), but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the fire, as the wood was extremely tough and wouldn't burn. Breakfast included in the rate was served in the restaurant nearby and had everything needed including hot items, eggs etc

We had a great experience, but our friends in a different house suffered with high humidity - bed and towels were moist, there was a specific smell in the house.

The Tropical Garden, the pools and the surrounding was outstanding. From the First Minute we loved it! We had two apartments next to each other which was great for a family. Both were clean and new and we liked them. Small kitchenette- enough for us but if you want to cook real meals things might be missing.

The breakfast gets a bit boring after a while, but still okay for this price. Also you should know that you need a car because orherwise it is hard to reach supermarkets or restaurants (we had a car, so no problem for us). One thing we missed was a choice of Small snacks if you stay at the pool. But this is just a random mini complaint.

Our staying in Pestana was lovely. The garden and the whole complex is outstanding. The amount of plants and views wherever you looked were absolutely beautiful. The bungalow was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was quiet and private. You can use the common swimming pool (there are two of them) - both nicely maintained. The staff was very helpful and nice. Breakfasts are good - many options to choose. Nearby is the local shop and view point - 5mins away by foot. I strongly reccomed staying here if you look for a quiet, slow place with nature around :)

Nothing to complain about.

The garden. The employees. The location. The pool. The fireplace and wood provided.

The rooms are quite old and need to be renovated. The shower is in very bad conditions (room 11) and dangerous. It's impossible to take a shower while standing as the ceiling is too low and to get out of there, I'm young so it's not a problem but for elderly people it would be a nightmare and subject to slip and fall because you need to stretch to get out of the shower. It's definitely not a 4 star nor a 3 but there's a lot of potential (if you modernize). And I think it's time.

The hotel is set in a beautiful location and the grounds of the hotel are well presented with lots of plants and flowers. Plenty of car parking spaces too. Staff are very helpful and when we didn't like our first accommodation they arranged for us to be moved to a different accommodation within the hotel.

The initial villa we booked was very old and worn with damaged furniture. I would recommend booking a studio instead these are modern and light. Although smaller than the villa we preferred our stay in the studio (the hotel moved us once we raised our concerns)

Overall we had a great stay. We had a car and I would highly recommend renting a car to get around as there’s not much within walking distance. I felt the place could have been a little cleaner, we found some old belongings from past guests in the drawers. Breakfast was very nice with a great outdoor area. The lighting in the bedroom was very Dim, once the sun started to go down it was quite hard to pack etc in the very low light.

The place is very nice to stay during summer or whenever it is warm outside. I loved the fact that there are separate cottages and you don't have the noise from neighbors. And the greenery and plants around is awesome. The hammock and the space outside the small house is also nice and the fact you have also games around you can plan if it's warm outside. End of November is a bit tricky. The breakfast was nice and plenty. It is a 2-3 minutes walk until the restaurant where breakfast is served but that is OK.

We traveled during end of November and during this time inside the house it was rather cold. The area where the hotel is located doesn't get that much sun due to the tall wall of mountain covering it from one side. The one electrical heater from the bedroom could not cover for entire space and if you were making the fire jn the fireplace it was too smoky and you needed to open the doors, especially since the walls between the living room, bedroom and bathroom were not all the way up so any smell or smoke would go from one side to another, as well as the cold. The place however would be perfect for summer.

Excellent breakfast in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel gardens. The setting was exceptional with mountain views and beautiful tropical gardens. We stayed in an old style villa which was charming and rustic. The pool and reception bar area was beautiful and the staff very friendly and welcoming.

The villa we stayed at was wonderful, it has a hammock outside from which you can see the garden that is filled with all sorts of gorgeous flowers during the day and stars during the night. The pool and rose garden are definitely worth visiting. The staff was very kind and helpful, we were really impressed with the atmosphere and the people. I had seen a couple pictures of the place before visiting but the experience exceeded expectations.
