Located on a hill with wonderful view. But if you do not like to spend 10--15 min to the nearest shop or reataurant it is not best option to you. Great base for People who like hiking. There are few trails from Santana so no need for a car/taxi. Tasty breakfasts, clean house, tv and good internet, kind owner. Hot water through boiler, so you have to wait few min to heat, but it is not an issue. Boiler have limited capacity (we were told) and hot water is available for ~15min for next batch to reheat. But it have never had such situation. There are several cats on the property. You do not have to interact with them But they are cute. Some like cuddles , if you like. they are fed by an owner.

we really liked the Casas de Campo. The staff were great. The breakfast was quite good and included items baked by the owner. The bed was comfy and the living area good. Santana afternoons and evenings can be cooler when the clouds come in but the heating took the edge off quickly. The kitchen was simple but adequate for meal preparation.

The location is very beautiful and the whole complex is very charming. Cats on the grounds were and additional plus :) we liked the breakfast buffet a lot. The room was spacious and the terrace with mountain view was a highlight. The hosts very attentive and friendly and responded to any questions we had.
It is probably a problem all over Madeira, but here the struggle with humidity was really bad. Fortunatelly it was not a problem to ask for new towels every secobd day and there was AC in the room to warm it up and dry a bit. Our shower was leaking from under the basin, so even long time after shower the water was slowly seeping through and making the bathroom wet. Kitchen was very simple, but okay for a short stay.

The location and setting was amazing. Lovely, private space...the greenery and scenery was gorgeous. Very atmospheric. The service was very good and Claudia was very pleasant.
It is a little outside the village, if you're looking to walk for food and drinks. It suited us with our car. Efficient showers required due to limited hot water, but that's not a bad thing, all things considered. The heating takes a little time to work out...but actually it is about giving the system time to kick in and respond. So a little patience is required. These are all very minor observations but I would recommend the villa to others and would stay again myself.

Wonderful place! I wanted to stay in a quiet place in Madeira and found Casas de Campo do Pomar. Such a peaceful and lovely place with a lovely garden and cute cats! The room has an air conditioner/heater, so we enjoyed the warmth in the cool evenings (the heater works quite noisy, so it is better to turn it off before going to bed and enjoy the singing of the birds :) ). All spaces are clean. The bathroom is very spacious, hot water is heated by a boiler, so limited. Very comfortable bed. A small terrace with a wonderful view. Internet works fine. A simple but good breakfast in a cozy breakfast room. Very nice staff helped with all the questions we asked. Parking is on the street, outside the gate. Pico Ruivo, Levada do Caldeirão Verde and Levada do Rei are easily accessible from this location. I wish to come back here in the spring, during the blooming season.
Sometimes there was an unpleasant smell on the side of the terrace. It would be nice to have a few tea bags in the kitchenette to have warm tea when you arrive before going for shopping.

The gardens and nature around the apartments. You can see that they put a lot of time in at to make it a small paradise. The breakfast is good, they even had vegan options for milk! For the price they ask, it’s absolutely worth it!
The studios are a little bit outdated. But function still well. The kitchen has everything you need. The bed sleeps good. Please change the ugly blue plastic shower curtain ;) it’s not that pricey to hang something new there and it will make the shower look and feel a lot better ;)

We stayed in a villa for one night. The location was perfect for exploring north Madeira, pretty town of Santana and morning hike to Pico Ruivo. We found the parking easily in front of the property. Our accommodation had a good size bedroom with the table and kitchenette. The bathroom was also a good size. Everything was very clean. From the bedroom we had an access to the private balcony with the beautiful view. The setting of the villa is stunning with the surrounding well maintained garden . Breakfast was served in the nearby dining room. It was simple but a good quality.

It is a perfect place to stay if you want some quiet time in Madeira. The apartment was basic but this was all we needed. The owner was very friendly, we loved cats wandering around. Breakfast was simple but good (amazing bacon!). Staying in Casas do Campo do Pomar gave us a great Madeiran experience. We moved to Funchal for the next 3 days and even though the hotel was good we were happy we could experience a not so touristic place as Santana

The little villas are very nice and comfortable, very clean and the flowers, plants, cats are wonderful. There is free WiFi, a lot of info on local restaurants etc, and an air conditioning/ heater in each villa. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with several options (for vegans too). The owner cooked all the guests scrambled eggs and bacon during breakfast. We would have liked to stay longer and we will come back for sure

If you have a car, and you are doubting, just book! It gives you Bali vibes. We absolutely loved it! You can relax in the hammock and enjoy the lush gardens. Would have loved to stay 2 extra days (stayed 2 now). If you have a car, it also is the perfect location if you want to visit Pico Ruivo! It is about an 18 minute drive to the parking of Pico Ruivo. From the parking it is a 45 minute to 1 hour hike to the top, and is is absolutely amazing! We would recommend waking up at 5.30AM (in December, for other months it might differ), and be at the parking for Pico Ruivo at 6AM. Make sure you have a torch or your phone light and walk up to the top. Make sure to dress warmly as well, not for the hike, but for once you are on top! You will first walk under the stars to then see the sun rise above the clouds. You can enjoy the sunrise and walk back to the parking (45 minutes) and drive back to Campo do Pomar and enjoy breakfast and chill a bit more in the hammock. Again, we absolutely loved it!
The rooms could be made a bit more cosy with some warm lights for example, but not a must have, just a nice to have. The shower got cold quite fast, but it didn't bother us (just make sure you shower before your spouse ;) ) I do think it is best if you have a car as it seems like there is not too much to do in walking distance. But If you are looking to just relax then perfect again!
