Quiet place in the woods. Very close to a beautiful park. The owner and things were very friendly and helpful. We loved the place.

We planned to spend a night in the mountains, and we were delighted to find the fireplace already lit upon our arrival. The house, though small, exudes a cozy warmth, with no unnecessary modern designs. The stunning mountain views from the window and the quaint veranda overlooking the garden added to the experience. The hotel grounds are impeccably maintained, resembling a beautiful botanical garden. We will definitely be returning!

We had a very pleasant stay, everything you would need for self catering. Pleasant check in. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable ones we've ever slept in. Clean and warm. No TV,which was not a bother for us. On a Sunday there is a local market that we loved to visit and managed to get souvenirs for great prices. We enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The fireplace was not working for the few days that we stayed,we were told that the previous guests have broken it. From memory this has happened to few other guests from the reviews. The house could do with an uplift as paint is peeling off at places.

Was a fantastic place, staff was exceptionally friendly. Nice rooms, quiet, in the nature.

The apartment had mosquito nets, but the rooms were full with mosquitoes. We had like 50 bites each. We could not get rid of them and we barely slept. The kitchen equipments are very old, outdated. They work and clean but had rust on the fridge, water can and microwave was from another century, making weird sounds and looked not so welcoming.

Wonderful designed and well-maintained property and garden. The apartment itself was very cosy and we absolutly loved the terrace faced directly into a very green view of nature. This is a perfect spot to reset, relaxed and enjoy nature and quietness. The Staff was very helpful and nice. We loved our stay at the Quinta and would definitely book it again.

The bathroom in the apartment we rented was getting a little old. But nevertheless everything worked fine.

Bathroom and rooms were very clean

Kitchen wasn’t as clean as the rest of the house. The stove top was sticky and the sink drain wasn’t very clean as well. We didn’t know they were coming to the house to make the beds during the day since it was a house and not a hotel so we left some clothes on top of the bed and when we came back the bed was made but the clothes were pilled up without any care. We should have a card to say if we want the room to be cleaned or not.

Its like a garden village inside the village of Santo Antonio. The apparent which we got was really cozy had a nice fire place and a good seating area for having some drinks. The location is pretty good if you have a car and want to stay in a rural quiet area with still some restaurants and two small shops. On the negative side I must say that the kitchen and the bathroom are pretty old.

The Quinta was very nice. Bed was extremely comfortable. There was a fireplace but we didn't use. Beautiful flowers around the grounds. The location is up in the mountains about 1/2 hour from Funchal. There was a Sunday market in town as well as some small markets and places to eat. A storm Monday night took out the electricity when we awoke in the morning. Very clean place and lots of room. We had a 1 bedroom unit. Was great to have a kitchen and fridge to make coffee in the morning.

The grounds were gorgeous, the lady who showed us to our room was so lovely, very friendly and welcoming. The house was comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed. Beautiful location, loved the local park!

While we love being in nature, the frogs in the pond were very close to our room & extremely noisy all through the night. I never knew frogs could be so so loud! Therefore, and it pains me to say it, unfortunately, neither of us slept very well at all :-( (hence the 8/10… everything else was 11/10!). Nevertheless, we’d jump at the chance to stay here again, just in a room a little further from the frogs! The noise would be absolutely fine if you are a heavy sleeper, wear earplugs, or are hard of hearing!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is surrounded by a beautiful well kept garden and using the terrace was a delight. The interior is cozy, the house warm (thanks to the fireplace) and equipped with all necessities. The house was spotless clean, cleaners are coming every day and they left some fresh flowers. The nearby town is quiet but has a few shops.

The kitchen and equipment is a bit dated.
