Room and whole area of the hotel was exceptionally clean. 2 minutes from the airport. Quiet hotel so not best for families etc. Food was incredible. Pools kept clean.

You cannot walk anywhere from the hotel as it is off a motorway junction so its uber rides and taxis all the way

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Albatroz Beach & Yacht Club. The location is simply unbeatable — perched on the edge of the ocean with breathtaking views and easy access to both nature and nearby attractions. What truly made the stay exceptional was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Their hospitality exceeded all expectations. The tennis court, set against the backdrop of the sea, is very nice. The pool area down by the ocean is spectacular. It’s peaceful, beautifully designed, and feels like your own private retreat. Very good restaurant as well. We were lucky enough to extend our stay by two extra nights, and so grateful we did. It gave us more time to soak in the peaceful atmosphere and enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. We will definitely be back. This place is a true gem.

Friendly staff and very good massage. However, the therapist is not a permanent employee, so they need to contact her in advance to confirm if she is available to come to the hotel for a treatment. The breakfast is good, and the à la carte menu offers a nice selection of dishes.

The swimming pool in the cliff, filled with ocean water, was not clean and essentially unusable. We specifically chose this hotel for the pool, but it is poorly maintained — no sunbeds, no cleared path leading to it, and the pool itself was dirty. We couldn’t and wouldn’t swim in it. When we asked at reception whether it would be cleaned, they assured us it had been cleaned ‘this morning,’ which was hard to believe. Overall, we were very disappointed.

It was our first trip to Madeira, and I’m so glad we found this hotel. We spent three wonderful days here, and it truly made our stay special. The location is very convenient — close to the airport, yet the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. The rooms are spacious, with large balconies overlooking the green lawns and the ocean. The hotel also has a fantastic restaurant offering a wide selection of dishes. We enjoyed breakfast and lunch there, savoring authentic European cuisine while admiring the ocean view. We celebrated our 10th anniversary during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. They were exceptionally courteous, and the manager himself came out to greet us — something I hadn’t expected, but greatly appreciated. The team also helped me surprise my wife with a chilled bottle of champagne, snacks, and a beautiful Madeira-style bouquet. And of course, I can’t forget the pools — one heated, and another set just above the ocean level, creating an unforgettable experience.

High-rate service, gorgeous suite, oceanic pool, European-style restaurant, and calming atmosphere.

We wanted a convenient base to explore Madeira with our young family so Albatroz was perfect. We had a lovely quick transfer from the airport and the staff at the hotel were all so lovely. They couldn’t have done more to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The quality of the food at breakfast and dinner was also exceptional. Rooms were comfortable with everything you needed. The kids loved the heated pool and as other reviews stated, there really wasn’t any noise from the airport.

The decor is a little dated and the outside area could do with a little bit of work although we liked the charm this brought to the hotel. You can hear the motorway noise from the heated pool area.

We liked the staff very much, they were all very kind and helpful. We loved the downstairs pool, it's the highlight of the hotel. We liked the fact that that it's a small hotel and you don't feel crowded anywhere, even though they were fully booked. The location is great because it's very close to the airport and the views are also very nice. By car you can get anywhere on the island pretty fast, the island is not so big.

I would have liked more variety in the breakfast, but what they had was very good.

The staff, especially Olena, went above and beyond to make my stay unforgettable. Although I hadn’t booked my tour in advance, she managed to arrange a car with a very knowledgeable driver for the entire day. Francisco from the restaurant was also incredibly helpful and kind. The massage was amazing,and last but not least,the manager was so welcoming and genuinely cared about making sure I had the best time possible. The property is situated 20 minutes from downtown, offering a serene and peaceful environment. While this may pose a challenge for guests without a car, taxis are readily available at all hours.

Nothing at all

My wife and I stayed in Albatroz for our honeymoon. It is hard to explain how beautiful and perfect everything was. From kindness of the staff, the food, the beautiful nature and beautiful resort facilities it is hard to point out the best thing. Hotel is amazingly quiet, despite being close to the airport. Both pools are great, and the view from the cliffs is unreal. The restaurant is top notch, and they serve variety of local dishes and amazing fresh fish. Internet was great, and all amenities as well. We will definitely visit again and we hope soon.

The treatment is magnificent, from arrival to departure. The hotel is small which means they can pay attention to everything. Room was clean and spacious. Free shuttle from the airport is very convenient. Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant were excellent with the most gorgeous views. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Every dip was a moment of relaxation, adding to the hotel's overall sense of tranquillity. The restaurant exceeded our expectations with its delicious cuisine. Every meal was a culinary delight, complemented by impeccable service from the friendly staff who anticipated our every need. Here we found the perfect blend of natural beauty and luxury, creating memories that will stay with us long after we leave. We'll be back! :))
