We stayed here on our first night in Madeira, right after arriving — and it was super convenient. Just 5 minutes from the airport, and the taxi ride cost around 6 euros, which was nice. The property offers good value for money. The room was clean, and while the breakfast was okay, there weren’t many savory vegetarian options available. Parking outside in the free area is limited, but there’s paid parking nearby for a small fee, which worked fine for us. If you’re looking for a place close to the airport for a short stay, this is definitely a solid choice.

we aren’t used to staying in a property this nice so everything was tops! super good inclusive breakfast. staff remembered us when we came back a week later to pick up our left luggage.

I stayed at Hotel Solar Bom Jesus for one night and it was a great choice for proximity to the airport — only a short drive away, which made it perfect for my early morning flight. The room was comfortable and spacious, with everything I needed for a restful night. The pool was a lovely extra touch, though unfortunately many of the sun loungers were broken, which was a pity. The hotel is also very close to the village centre, with a great selection of restaurants and local spots for food. Overall, a convenient and pleasant stay — I'd stay again before a flight

Free and good breakfeast. Amazing room that was cleaned daily. Nice and friendly staff. Good location. A lot of space for free parking. Easy access from the highway. Close to Funchal, but far away from the confusion, therefore calm and peaceful.

The mini fridge in the room made a lot of noise and couldn't even cool a water bottle at max setting. The air conditioning couldn't keep the room under 24 C° degrees even at maximum with cold Setting.

I asked the reception for earlier check-in and I got a room 1,5 hours earlier the official check-in time. The breakfast was generous: scrambled eggs with ham, choice of cupcakes (brownie was especially tasty), fruits, juice, coffee, youghurt etc.

My room was quite simply furnitured, the floor in the bathroom wasn't very clean (I saw sameone's hair on the floor and the floor was still wet). I could hear a noise from the river dam just from my window. There were not enough choises of food in the hotel's restaurant for dinner: I could choose from 2 dishes only. So, I had to go to eat a tuna steak to the restaurant in Biletheria in the centre of the town (and it was really good!) The hotel offers a 10 % discount (this is good ;) Water in the roof top swimming pool was too cold. When I booked this hotel, I expected a heated swimming pool...And the pool is open from 9.00 and closes at 19.00. I think the price for a such a simple room was too high.. I would say, Santa Cruz is not worth visiting, unless you have an early flight.

It's very close to Santa Cruz city center, 5 min walk and 25 min walk to the airport or 15 min by car to Funchal. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast was enough and various. The room which we get was comfortable and silent even if it is close to the airport. The pool was clean and the view gorgeous. Furniture is like any other hotel. Big plus for the air conditioning. Quality-price very good. We did not miss Funchal, Santa Cruz is not so crowdy and it's more clean. Free parking place on the street.

New, modern and elegant hotel, with a traditional touch through its decorations. Very large and comfortable triple room. Close to the ocean and old town. Close to the airport. We stayed only one night, as we landed very late in the night. No problems with the check-in or with the breakfast, for late risers. We could stay there all our holiday, at 1/3 price for a similar room. Very good price-quality ratio.

The hotel is over all very good, you have 3 terraces to relax (one with pool, which is big and also good for swimming). It feels very relaxed. The room was very good, beds were soo confortable. Breakfast very also very good, they had many sweet options. Check out is at 12h.

We reserved room for 3, but in the room there were towel on only one bed and in the bathroom, there were some plastic cups only for 2 people and it was randomly puted on the shelf (the cups were like 20 cm from each other.) Everything was just fine, but it absolutely doesnt give 4 star hotel vibes. Breakfast sweet selection was perfect, but there wasnt any vegetarian cooked meal (eggs, omelette, etc.- unfortunetelly everything was with meat).

Staff were very friendly and professional. Room was spotless and bed was comfortable. As we had an early start, before breakfast time, we were provided with a packed lunch which we appreciated very much. The Santa Cruz area is beautiful and lovely to stroll around. Excellent value for money. We will certainly visit again.

Unfortunately there was no explanation on the menu, advertised outside of the hotel (or that we missed), that the evening meal would be a set menu so prior to going for our walk we decided on what to eat at the hotel on our return. The set meal price was great value but we were disappointed that we did not have the option to choose our food. When our main course was served the plates were cold, detracting from the heat of the food, and our meal was tepid at best.

The stuff was super helpful. Huge hugs to them. Room comfy and neat-clean. Location: easy walk from the beach and the town centre. My windows were open at night and cloud sleep like a log no matter the fact of closeness of the aieroport for what i was a bit affriad of at my arrival. Breakfast fresh and continental. Fruits yumm.
