A superb hotel minutes from the airport in a very lovely little village. Good transport links to Funchal. Lovely staff, great food. The rooms were really quiet even though planes are almost landing as they fly past - which for us enhanced our stay. Loved all of it. Comfy beds, water heats up quickly, spotless clean, good storage space, lovely breakfast. Easy to get to Funchal on buses and taxis. The village of Santa Cruz is so cute with plenty of bars and restaurants and couple of good boutiques. Staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Lovely pool area and gardens and right next to the sea too.

We did a boat trip to see whales and dolphins and saw none! Maybe it was the time of year.... June. But the guys on the boat didn't say anything... just went out to sea for an hour then turned around and came back. Be careful of booking this trip.

The one night stay was to avoid the crush of travellers at the airport on a Monday. The room was adequate for our needs and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were friendly, polite and considerate giving exceptional service.

Very little !! Perhaps the provision of a kettle with cups, saucers and spoons would have been good. That would have enabled us to use our own coffee. The cost this time was a bit too high but we do appreciate the hotel is really designed for all-in-one holiday stays of a week or more rather than a stopover.

Hotel is new and well equipped. Convenient location to both the airport (24h check in) and Funchal (either by other shuttle and/or local buses) - lovely view on the ocean and airplanes landing. Excellent breakfast and helpful cordiality

Wifi sometimes disconnects - if you work remotely or really need it might be an issue Air conditioning in the room doesn’t really cool down- fortunately, the heat wave has gone Nothing you couldn’t bear

Convenient to airport and walkable. Very nice facilities, shame I wasn't able to utilize more. Couldn't check-in till 3pm and I was there at 1pm. Also left at 4am next day. Limited use of facilities.

I sent a message for early check-in, they responded that it would be honored online, but not when I arrived. Shame wasn't able to use facilities more.

We loved the view to the ocean, the proximity to the airport, the inddor swimming pool (the outdoor swimming pool looked great too, but it was too cold outside to use it). It was quite special to wake up to the sounds of the ocean. The breakfast is very good, with many options. We also liked Satna Cruz, which is a lovely small town. All in all, we recommended this hotel.

Very attentive and smiling staff. Excellent breakfast. Very close to the town center and sea shore. Easily accessible by walk. Very close to the airport.

Pillows and the bed was a little outdated and needs renewal in my opinion. But this is from a person that sleeps on a space agency proven bed technology.

The lobby was nice and the staff welcoming. I liked the pool, sauna, and gym. I liked the ping pong table, chess board, and trampoline. I like how close the ocean is to the hotel. It's nice to have hotel shuttle service to downtown Funchal. Lots of fruits at breakfast.

The hot tub wasn't really hot (32-35C). The air conditioner in the room was weak. The maintenance guy came to check on it the day I left. No coffee or hot water maker in the room. No washcloths in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, but basic, no vegan-friendly options.

The room was spacious and clean, the hotel exceeded my expectations. In May I did not see any children in the hotel, it was very quite. Breakfast was ok, but without fireworks. I had expected more fresh vegetables to do vegge salat, some feta or other white cheese, there was nothing except tomatoes. Here a huge disappointment. Spa centre small but nice. Hotel very close to the airport, 5min by taxi - cost 10EUR with tip, few lovely local restaurants (with fish with banana!) close to the hotel, the village small, very quite and relatively flat, comparing to Funchal. On weekend few performances in the village by the local singers and dancers. I loved this quite place.

Breakfast did not impress me at all. No choice of vegetables and white cheese.

Location in proximity to the airport for us was very convenient as a transfer hotel, with an added bonus of great facilities (i.e. pool, exercise room). Staff were very helpful, breakfast buffet was really good. A small town of Santa Cruz around the hotel is quaint to visit. Liked the hotel's animation: enthusiastic trainer invited us to water aerobics in the pool, and that's just what we needed.

No real beach next to the hotel , but a great pool. To be fair, shuttle transportation to the beach is available. Hotel location quite far from Funchal, but close to the airport, so that can be a benefit and a shortcoming.

Very close to the airport (4 minute cab ride). Very nice buffet breakfast with omelette bar and lots of fresh fruit and a variety of other breakfast items. Nice pool. Right off the ocean. We walked to a nice restaurant for dinner. We got lucky because our flight was cancelled and we needed a place to stay and they were great.
