The biggest highlight is the view of the mountains from the balcony, it is beyond beautiful and so incredible to be so close to nature. There is a lovely walk two minutes away, where there are picnic benches on the side of the town where you can look at the beautiful views. The property itself is great. Clean, functional, quiet. It wasn't the most modern but that didn't bother us in the slightest. We were there for the nature.

Everything about this apartment was amazing. I can’t recommend it enough. The setting is beyond spectacular, well worth the extra drive from Funchal. The village is quaint and friendly, with a food market just up the street and beautiful trails nearby. The apartment is large, yet still cozy, and well maintained. And the hosts are wonderful. I can’t say enough about this apartment. It exceeded my expectations in every way. I’m hoping to be back as soon as possible.

The apartment was extremely comfortable, much bigger than I expected. The views are out of this world, and there is a large balcony to enjoy them. The location of the apartment is very well situated amongst some shops and restaurants - perfect to soak up the local atmosphere. You’re also very well located to get to other parts of the island, you can be in the heart of Funchal in 20 minutes. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the bed is extremely comfortable and you have everything you need in one place. There are plenty of utensils, cooking instruments etc in the kitchen if you want to stay in and enjoy the apartment, including a large fridge freezer! As the apartment is in a valley I had trepidations of the drive down into the valley but the drive is actually extremely easy and the roads are very well done (on most of the island in fact). It’s very modern and I felt right at home. Communication with the host was effortless, check in was seamless and I would 110% stay here again!

Extremely comfortable bed compared to some of the other accommodation we stayed at on Madeira. Nice bathroom and everything was clean. Space to park car off the street. Scenery is lovely, a truly beautiful and unique town. Manuel and Mel were very friendly hosts.

The apartment was just amazing. Amazing location, equipment, views. The owner was super friendly and helpful. Gave us good tips of where to go. It is a few steps from the local shop, restaurants and bus stop. For the coffee enthusiasts there was a coffee machine with capsules as well! We fell in love with the bedroom as from there were spectacular views and it itself was cosy. There is also a washing machine which came in handy.

Despite our satisfaction and enthusiasm with our stay, there is a thing I can't leave out. When we arrived, there was 11 degrees in the apartment! It was horibly cold. However, there are two heaters so we managed to heat the bedroom. So I definitely reccomend to take warm clothes when visiting in winter or ask the owner if they could pre heat at least the bedroom.

Fantastic Location with great views. We loved being out and away from the main city area. Serie, the valley is so beautiful! We arrived at 23:30, and were met by the property keeper even though he didn’t have to do so. The apartment was very clean.

Manuel was really friendly and helpful with quick replies to messages. Very central. Spacious and clean with really comfortable bed. Great water pressure in shower. Really helpful to have car parking in garage. Nice balcony to sit outside. Will definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike

Execellent location, close to shop, restaurant, bus stops, paths and perfect view. The apartment was spotless clean, very well equipped and comfortable. Owner is great person, easy to talk to, quick to react and full of advices. I can wholeheartedly recommend the stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay in the apartment. It was very comfortable, spacious and offers all the necessary amenities. I had to opportunity to speak to the owner before leaving who was very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place to couples and small families as an ideal starting point for a hike up the mountains.
