The location is just beautiful and everything is clean. The staff is the asset of this hotel, every single one of them is kind, attentive and welcoming. The evening à la carte is tasty and the portions are very big. The free shuttle to town and back is great.

The property is dated and looks worn. I would say it is a 3 star rather than a 4 star hotel in that respect. Breakfast is nothing special although all the necessities are catered for. The pool area also looks worn. You need to pay 10euro deposit for towels which you need to take from reception, way up from the pool area.

I want to come back soon!! This was a beautiful location and we had a room overlooking the water. Just hearing waves and watching the boats was relaxing. Excellent breakfast. Hardworking and friendly staff throughout the resort. Easy to get the bus or taxi into old Funchal (lots of hills in Madeira). Promenade along the hotel made for easy walks and access to the black sand beaches.

Great location - far from the city, so it was very calm in surrounding, with very comfortable connection to Camara de Lobos via promenade (20 minutes walk). Room with ocean view and ocean sound. The most impressive black beach on the island.

Breakfast was monotonous - we spent there 8 days and everyday was the same selection, with no local specialities. Bed mattress was placed on some weird construction, I didn't feel stable.

The breakfast was to minimalistic. There can be more diversity. There are no shops around, so you have to buy your water from the hotel every day.

The hotel stands on the cliff on it's own beach, isn't it already something!! Sweeping views of the ocean, sound of crushing waves, delightful room and common areas. There is also a parking, so with a car it's so easy to access.. Just enjoyed all of it!!

The hotel has very few parking spots that are all reserved (I don't know how you get one, so they might better say there is no parking available).

Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent location right by the sea, with wonderful sea views and access. Spacious room, balcony and stairwells. Comfortable bed and great shower. Bus stop into town outside hotel. Beach towels available and decent buffet breakfast. The whole hotel felt more luxurious than a 3 star. We could have happily stayed more than 3 nights - great place to relax.

More plant based protein options at breakfast would be good, such as peanut butter, nuts and seeds. Smoke from smokers on neighbouring balconies wafting into our room via our open balcony doors meant we often had to close the doors and couldn't enjoy the fresh sea breeze and sound of the ocean waves - perhaps some floors could be designated 'smoking on balconies floors'?

The breakfast was really amazing. The view from the balcony as well! The access to the pool and beach were super nice and easy accessible. Very nice promenade at the coast.

not so many obtions for breakfast, long check in, after arriving deposit of 100€ on card (for using minibar and restaurant, we stay for 1 night and came quite late so i dont think it was necessary)
