The Fisherman Village is a gem. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The location is ideal as a base for touring without the hassle of much busier Funchal. Although the hotel is run on a B&B basis, you feel as if you have a choice of different restaurants every night, as there must be 20 different hostelries within meters of the front door. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We rented a care through the hotel for a few days and it was delivered to us at reception with parking just a minute away in the municipal car park.

Hotel was amazing. We booked it for couple days, and the location was great, staff was very friendly, polite and professional, and also the rooms were very nice, quiet and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Also, grocery shop is located nearby, so you can buy some food and other important things there.

There is no hotel parking available, so you have to use publicly available parking spot. It's quite close to the hotel, But: there are some locals (who look homeless) which are trying to help you by providing guidance to park, and then will ask you for money. If you don't pay, they might scratch your car. So beware! It's a public parking spot, so you pay either via app or parking machine, not to locals! My suggestion, same as the hotel would give you, is to park inside the parking house in the end of the street. (you can pay there with cash, which will be much cheaper than via the hotel reception).

it was in the centre of a small fishing village surrounded by good places to eat with friendly locals . staff were always real helpful nothing was too much trouble.

rooms were a little small and not enough storage.

Super nice staff, great service, great breakfast (even got a take away when we left early to watch sunrise) great location with super nice restaurants around (can recommend the one directly on the opposite side of the hotel entrance)

we had a smart tv but it was not possible to watch Netflix or any other streaming platform. Bathroom was smelling weird on last day.

The hotel was peaceful and quiet, even though there was plenty of life outside with various restaurants and bars. The pool space on the roof was perfect for catching some sun - the pool was a bit chilly and caused a sharp intake of breath when getting in, but that’s only to be expected at this time of year! The staff were all super helpful, including the cleaning staff who took care of us and kept us stocked up with room essentials during our stay.

Not much to be fair, and nothing that would stop us from staying again. Depending on what you’re looking for, the vicinity could be a little quiet in terms of things to do, but we arranged a few trips around the island and also travelled into Funchal a few times for a change of scenery. That’s not really a negative about the hotel, which was located in a perfect place in Camara de lobos. It would be good to have some covers over the breakfast items as there were flies around, but that’s very minor in the big scheme of things.

Ambiente of the whole hotel is great, it really classifies as a boutique hotel, pool has a nice view and is clean and Billard can be played for free. Staff was very nice, in general would recommend going there

Breakfast is fine, sometimes it misses a bit the detail (no knife for the cake, only hardboiled eggs..), coffee was really a disappointment, after trying twice I avoided it for the rest of the stay. Hotel has no parking but offers collaboration with 2 local sites, but 7,50€ per day instead of 4,50€ if you pay per day directly at the parkinggarage is way to expensive in my eyes (however as a plus they tell you both prices). On the weekend music can get really loud, however in our case this was only 1/9 nights, so okay

Beautiful hotel, in the heart of Camara de Lobos. There were so many lovely restaurants right on our doorstep. You are also a stones throw from the sea which was amazing. The staff at the hotel are excellent, so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed a couple of chilled evenings at the hotel as its such a lovely building, with a great pool table.

Lovely, individual and slightly quirky. Small and not at all touristy, wonderful breakfast that you could eat in or outside, delightful roof top pool and superb location. Probably one of the best villages to stay at on the island with loads of good restaurants within 50 yards of the hotel.

A few drawers for clothing would be good otherwise wonderful.

This hotel is so beautiful, even better than the pictures here. The location of the hotel is perfect, it’s really close to the small port and you can go for a beautiful walk every night. The staff is amazing and helpful, they always helped us at the reception and answered all the questions we had. The cleaning staff also did amazing job every time they cleaned our room. The room was beautiful and very modern, however our room was on the first floor and looking out on the street, so we didn’t really have a nice view. The beds were really comfortable and it was quiet every night. The breakfast is amazing, they have everything you could wish for at a breakfast table and awesome fresh juices. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at Câmara de Lobos :)

Great location - the town itself offers multiple lunch and dinner options, all of which are delicious. The town is also close to Funchal and easy to get to / from all the major touristy spots. They even had a gluten free pata de nata available at breakfast, just ask the staff :)
