Breakfast was good. We loved to automatic coffee machines because you can add extra expresso. You can walk from pool to ocean in 1 minute. Concrete breakwall/boardwalk is fun to run/walk on with interesting tunnel at end closest to town. Sunset view from room is amazing and sound of waves lapping on the shore is nice sound. Loved option to eat in Italian Restaurant at the 5 star resort above.

If you rent a car there is very little parking but honestly the Bolt car App works great in Portugal.

The hotel had a pleasant feel to it, spacious and well kept. Room was good, sea view with balcony and the usual trappings. Food was tasty and lots of choice - the dining staff were excellent. Greeted with a smile, offered drinks immediately and table cleared as you finished. They were noticeably good!! All inclusive drinks were set out buffet style for wine, and a help yourself tap for beer. Small bar dispatched spirits and cocktails. All good.

Overall, the hotel could do with some tlc to earn its 5* badge. Chips out the walls (where chairs had rubbed), stains on sofas, etc. not a deal breaker, but having been to similar size/spec hotels, it was noticeable. The ambiance in the dining room was noisy - low ceilings and hard surfaces. But the weather was bad, so all doors and windows were shut. Could be nicer when outside spaces are in use? Similar comment for main function area - not for chatting if there's entertainment on! Again, outside was nice, so will be fine if available. Our weather was biblical at times, so we were stuck in! Not the hotel's fault though!

It was our first time in all-inclusive hotel for our honeymoon. Staff was very friendly. We really appreciated that they took our room preferences into consideration and also left us as a gift bottle of champange and nice note on our arrival which made our day. Room itself is spacious, bed was comfortable, having fridge and bidet was nice and view from balcony is amazing. We slept really well to the backround noise of waves on beach. Food was great and diverse, with something different everyday and large choice of main meals. Our favorite were Madeira nights with local dishes. There was decently wide choice of drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic as well as cocktails. Entertainment was organised every night, we enjoyed live music. Outdoor terrace is lovely. And right outside is long promenade by the beach. Location is great, we rented a car and its under 1 hour to get anywhere else on the island. Parking spots are not reserved but we had no issue finding a free spot during our 8 day stay.

The hotel was exceptionally clean, with beautifully tendered gardens. Pool areas were lovely with plenty of loungers. The food was good with plenty of choice and all staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Nothing really, yes the rooms are a little old looking now but absolutely clean and comfortable and everything working as it should. This does not distract from having a great stay as I spent most of my time by the pool, in the gardens or around the resort.

Professionally run hotel. Reception staff are welcoming and helpful. Our 7th floor room had fabulous sea and coast views. A long distance walk on the promenade and beach are easily accesible. Gardens and poolside area were attractive and well planted. Generally a pleasant ambiance with a mix of different European guests.

Hot food at lunchtime and dinner was very bland, Low sugar cola and tonic water was not available.

Absolutely perfect location. Next to the beach and half an hour to Madeira best places. No problem with parking. Very helpful reception staff and all other as well. We were aware it's not a new hotel, but the price was good enough for this quality. Food and drinks were good enough. Calm hotel, not many kids were there, good place to relax. 2 pools, sauna and jacuzzi were cleaning every day. Beautifull garden and all area next to the hotel. Want to come back there.

Amazing location it was even better than it's look on pictures. Nice view to the ocean, calm area near swimming pool, Jacuzzi. Many tables so you can choose to eat outside or inside. All staff so pleasant and helpful. They called me from reception on second day and asked how it's going withy staying and told that we can book dinner at restaurant at other hotel. Was nice and long drinks menu. At hotel were mostly aged guests and unfortunately evening entertainment were not so interesting

Unfortunately the heating lamps on the buffet were so strong that if food stay there for a while after it's getting so hard and dry that you couldn't even bite it.

The hotel is welcoming with nice greeting gestures and atmosphere, and the staff are all very friendly, professional, and helpful. My special request has been well accommodated, really appreciated that! The triple room/suite is huge and has a gorgeous sea view, we watched beautiful sunset from the balcony, which was really nice. The room is well furnished, it is in old fashioned decoration but maintained in good condition and is very clean. Facilities are good, could be better for a four star hotel, but are ok. Food choices are good. We've seen greater variety elsewhere for equivalent all inclusive hotels, but it is fine. Breakfast was great. Quality of food during lunch and dinner varies though, there are delicious dishes, just not in every meal. New Year's Eve dinner was excellent. We like the location. It may not be ideal for everyone without a car when it is a bit further away from the center, remote and difficult to find even for a taxi fiver, but we love it to be on the sea front, close to the nice black-sand beach, a beautiful handy foot path just outside the hotel along the coast going both ways. The twice a day shuttle bus service provided by the hotel to Funchal was a 5 star service, punctual, big modern coach, good and convenient schedule, it is really helpful. We had a great time staying there for a few days over the new year period and we were very pleased and thankful.

It will be helpful to have extraction fans in all the bathrooms. I didn't particularly enjoy the soft drinks or coffee...

Me and my partner had an amazing time during our stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. My partner had birthday during our stay and the hotel was kind enough to give birthday cake and champagne. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The Location is absolutely beautiful with stunning views.Highly recommend!
