Easy to find Casa do Til in the centre of this small town. We had a standard-sized bedroom which was bright and airy and had hot drink-making facilities. Parking was on-street and free, and we could see our car from our room. Outside there were two areas with seating and tables, great for having a picnic lunch. Next to Casa do Til was a small restaurant "Marcellinos" where we had breakfast (included in price) - a good cold buffet breakfast, and a view over distant hills from the windows. Santana is a nice place to walk around, and there are simple bars, cafes and restaurants with very reasonable prices.

It is located in a very good area, quiet and with plenty of parking available. The staff were very polite and always ready to help. The rooms were cleaned every other day.

The room was cold due to the old house and high humidity, which made it quite uncomfortable. The constant dampness also made it difficult for clothes to dry properly. It would be helpful to provide at least some spoons in the room, as there were only tea cups available. Breakfast was very simple—it would be good to add some eggs and vegetables.

The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of Santana with easy access to restaurants, heritage sites, and some of the most scenic drives in Madeira. The property has an airy, open vibe with a beautiful terrace that even offers a distant sea view. It’s also rare to find such convenient parking in Madeira—this place had open spots right across the street, which made life a lot easier.

The room was a bit compact, but manageable. The real challenge was the absence of blackout curtains—morning light flooded in early, making it tough to sleep in.

Upon arrival, the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Big shout out to Alex. He was a gentleman. The location was brilliant, right beside the postcard ‘typical’ houses of Santana. There is a big supermarket just down the road too and local bars and cafes with reasonable prices. We found it to be the perfect hub for exploring Madeira. There is lots of parking available with a nearby underground car park too. The breakfast was wonderful and always set the day off to a great start. The cleaning was every second day and they would give us fresh towels and toiletries which was a nice touch. I would certainly stay here again.

Spacious room with comfortable beds, fresh linen,tasty and simple breakfast. Big common use terrace,beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff. :-) Big shower unit,very handy for tall people just weird that shower window opened to the inside sitting area. Interesting design.

Room 101 door had no handle,had to pull with the key to close it. Quite loud at night time when people were coming back and slamming doors. There was a kettle in the room but no spoons .

Nice hotel with very good location in Santana, breakfast was simple but fine, no eggs or bacon though. Staff was very nice and communication via booking was great. We also could park our car on the street right in front of the hotel for free. Guide with some tips in the hotel room was nice.

Hotel room was quite small, but it is fine for a sleep and day out. Shorter time for breakfast. There is a high humidity so our clothes and towels were not able to dry properly, but it is not a problem of the hotel. :)

It was well located, you could do a lot of beautiful hikes nearby! Easy (late) check in and the room was ok, nothing special but everything you need. The breakfast was also good, coffee/tea/juice with bread/joghurt/fruits, simply but enough. The family is really friendly, we even got a lunch pack once for an early hike. So if you do not search for luxury, but want to be close to do some adventures nearby.. we can recommend it.

We visited the place in November and it was quite cold in the evening - the heating was on and it was amazing! Room was comfortable, bathroom was big, there was a place to dry wet clothes outside. Window with ocean view. The staff is very nice and they speak perfect English!

Breakfast was not very diverse, coffee was good though. There is no dedicated parking spot for the guests and there is a chance you will have to park on a very steep street, it was pretty hard for us as not locals :)

The location is close to bus stop You can get the bus number 103 for 138 to Funchal There are good walks around but you need a taxi to get there You can walk to cable cars 🚠 which offers fantastic views of waterfalls and once you get down there is a short walk which I recommend

The breakfast is very basic but ok

We had a spacious studio apartment on the top floor. Nice view, well equipped kitchen, simple but delicious breakfast served in a nice room on the ground floor. Staff very nice and friendly. In the centre of Santana and very close to a few restaurants and a big Continente supermarket. On-street parking in front of the apartment.

Wifi a little bit weak in our room.
