The view was amazing, with a balcony and the rooms were large. The hot tubs were amazing after a day of hiking. Good spot to stay for PR9, PR8 and PR1 and a bit quieter in this town than Funchal. There were heaps of carparks available for the rooms. Food was good in the restaurant although a bit overpriced compared to other restaurants we went to in the rest of the island.

No air-conditioning, we had to leave our sliding door open overnight for fresh air, which was fine, though it doesn't get too hot here anyways to really warrant it. Bring your own beach towels as no towels for the hot tubs were provided. No servicing of room even though we asked them to.

1. The people who work there are amazing. Super nice with a lovely energy. 🫶 2. The food! Wow. 3. The sunset here is so cool. 4. You're on one side of the island, but everything is close by (ex : 50min from Fanal Forest, 1h from Calheta beach, 45min from Pico do Arieiro, 35min from Funchal, etc.) -- Had fun driving through the sometimes scary roads haha. 5. Beautiful miradouros (viewpoints) around when you're heading to the B&B

Location is 30-45 min away from the main towns on the south shore but in a less populated area close to ocean epic view hikes and the popular mountain hikes including to the highest mountain on the island Pico Ruivo. Views from the balcony are great and hot tub is fantastic to relax and massage muscles after a lo g day of hikes. Wifi is good, rooms clean, there is a kettle in the room to make tea, and restaurant is near by. Park right next to the building on the street if you have a car. There is also a fantastic ocean view hike right off the property that leads to the rocks in the ocean.

Floor wood boards squeak and pillows were not comfortable for me (maybe it is just me). Rooms decor is fine but I wouldn’t describe it as charming or cozy.

The location, on the side of a hill is amazing, 180degree views, i love the unique way the accommodation is spread across 3 buildings across 2 roads, we were in the furthest one, up next to the pool and we loved it. We arrived late at night, in the dark, it was early May and in the morning, the sunrise over the sea straight out from our balcony was EPIC! breakfast is boiled eggs, bread, fruit, yogurt, tea coffee. We used the hot tub one evening and got a glimpse of the sunset over the hill, id say you only get sunset, at the very very end of it setting over the headland to the west, the last week in May or maybe early june until end of june. We got a very small glimpse of it and it was very cool! You need a car in this area. Im not sure there's anything in walking distance. its only 20 mins drive to the carpark for Pico de Ruivo so we were delighted with that!

The corridors were basic and the rooms a bit basic too. Just need a bit of modernising but i suppose it all adds to the charm. it works! we would go back!

Wonderful place close to the village of Santana. It includes 3 different buildings, one of which is the restaurant. There is also a living room with tv, books and board games heated up by a fireplace. It was raining when we arrived and appreciated the possibility of spending some time there. We loved the terrace with the warm jacuzzi and fresh water pool that can be used at any time. Views from there are amazing! Food at the restaurant is good and fairly priced, although there were not many options for dinner. Breakfast was varied with different salty and sweet options and we could get coffee from the espresso machine.

It is a bit far from the village if you do not have a car (around 30min walk). But actually they also have two typical Santana houses in front of the restaurant, so you might not need to go to the village at all. The place is a bit humid, due to the climate in this part of the island.

Lovely hotel with a very nice ocean view (if the weather allowed it 🙃). Rooms were very tidy and definitely spacious enough, with a nice balcony as well. The restaurant is worth a visit, great food with friendly service. (Try their poncha, it's delicious). Breakfast was served there as well, had everything you would need and more. Overall great hotel, would definitely recommend it!

Not easy to park your car. Only option is to put your car on the street next to the hotel, which is a bit steep so might cause some problems for some drivers.

The place offers serenity and absolutely amazing settlement between the ocean and the hills. You can Watch sunrises and sunsets from the terrace, or wnjoy jacussi with amazing views. The restaurant offers good food, and a great home made poncha. Breakfast ia modest but its all you need. Staff is amazing and create great vibes. Lots of parking spaces

Perhaps the breakfast (with scrumbled eggs or warm sausage), but otherwise no other inconveniences

Comfortable spacious room with everyting we needed for one night. We were lucky to get an ocean view which was lovely. We didnt get to use the terrace and pool because of bad weather but certainly its a great benefit to this accommodation. Breakfast was great, from sweets, fruits, to bread, cheese, ham, veggies and eggs. Coffee, tea. Great way to start a day of hiking!!

Amazing location and view both from the room and from the pool and jacuzzi. Lovely pool and three jacuzzi. The location is close to many hikes. It's a quiet area in Madeira, not very touristy. Good restaurant. With local food and delicious Poncha. Spacious room. There is breakfast. It is good for 3-4 days but then it might get boring since the variety is not so much. There is a game room and also several parking areas.

The room is beautiful but very simple. Not many facilities. The soap and shampoo were not renewed so we had to ask for renewal. The curtains were not fully covering the windows, so making the room dark was a bit difficult. The room can get quite humid sometimes. There is no shower next to the pool.

We had a room with mountain view but could also see a bit of the sea, which was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation is perfectly located for a lot of different walks.

The parking to the upper building is behind a bend. When you want to get back on the main from the parking one cannot see a car coming from the left side, which we found a bit dangerous. We managed by opening the window (at least one would hear a car coming). A mirror on the opposite side would help to overcome this problem.
